I’ve been going to Dr. Lim for about a year now — and no doubt about it — he is a very good Doctor. With that being said, the three times I’ve been to see him have been an exercise in patience as he is always behind schedule /running late. I think it is reasonable/fair to say that it’s somewhat normal to «wait» to see the Doctor even when you have an appointment, after all — some patients may require more time than others and one can’t really plan for that. It took me three weeks to even be able to schedule my most recent appointment as Dr. Lim was on Holiday — which is fine, everyone deserves that. I arrived for my appointment promptly at 10:15(scheduled time) only to sit in the waiting room for 45 minutes. I was finally called in by the nurse, she took some notes, checked my temperature, blood pressure, etc. and then I waited… for another 45 minutes! Still no Dr. Lim. As I had been waiting an hour and a half I didn’t feel that I could spare any more of my valuable time so I dressed and went to talk to the receptionist. I was advised that Dr. Lim was running behind schedule and that they would refund my co-pay. I said I wanted to make an appointment for when Dr. Lim would not be so busy and I would not have to wait — the response I got from the receptionist floored me: «Well that’s the problem, Dr. Lim is always running behind schedule» Really??? Ummm — here’s an idea — try being respectful of my time as a patient. Don’t schedule so many people that we’re taking time out of our busy schedules only to be asked to wait for an indefinite period of time. How rude! If this had been a one time thing I may have been more understanding but this was the third time I’ve played the waiting game. Time for me to find a new Doctor.

Dr Johnathan Lim was the«on call» doctor on the weekend. I had caught a stomach virus from my 6 year old son, who had just gotten out of his doctors care. I explained that all of the details and the fact that I was not in a position to take my sick son to urgent care with me for medicine. I requested he give me the same medicine my son was given. I was very sick with nausea and abdominal pain. He said«It is not my job to help in this situation just go to urgent care» and I said I cannot«PLEASE help me» and he hung up the phone on me. I tried to explain every detail, just as if I were in his office. I explained that I could not drive or get to urgent care. I explained that my 6 year old just went through this, I explained the medicine he received. Dr Lim acted as if he was angry that I had bothered to call the office — from his tone he was condescending and mean. I wish he was a better person.

Dr Lim’s staff is very friendly and so helpful. Dr Lim himself is very kind, caring and answered all of my questions and did not rush me out. He puts you right at ease and I am so happy I found him. An amazing doctor who deals with a wide variety of things.
