Some of the best Chinese food I’ve had in a while! Came here on a Saturday after some wine tasting, and ordered their lunch special. Perfect portions of an entrée, rice, chow mein, and soup, which were all fresh and super good. Looks as though they had just moved into this space, and it was very clean and comfortable. I’ll be coming back here again for a Chinese food fix!

We have finally found the best affordable Chinese food in Livermore. It may not be the cheapest, but u can see why they have been in business so long. They have so many family meals to choose from so it’s great to try something different. They just moved a couple doors down to a larger place. Can’t wait to return to try more items.

I made it to their new location and was greeted by the owner, Chen. He is so customer oriented, and their food is still fresh and tasty. The new location is much larger and open. I was a bit disappointed that they were not able to serve beer yet, but definitely not their fault. I had the Mongolian Beef… excellent as usual. Their pepper calamari is a must try as well. They deliver also, and I must say that their delivery guy is also very personable and prompt. The service was perfect, parking is great, a must try if you have never been there.

This place has REALLY upped their game. I used to eat here as a kid, then stopped because it went downhill. Well, they’re back to being delicious. They’ve remodeled too so their atmosphere is lovely. Better than Uncle Yu’s at half the cost for twice the portion.

Got food for pick up tonight after some lackluster experiences elsewhere for Chinese food. We found the food very flavorful and it far exceeded our expectations(which were low based on our experiences with Chinese food I’m Livermore). We got orange chicken, broccoli with oyster sauce, beef chow mien and crab Rangoon, and pork wonton soup. All were great. Will definitely be back to try more!

Amaze. For reals. My family has a tradition of getting dinner from Canton Village and we are never disappointed! We like to call ahead(Dinner A for 4) and they always have everything ready in 20 minutes or so. The staff is always super friendly and helpful with substitutions when needed. Also, when we eat there, they have food that my 2 year old niece loves. Love this place and will definitely be going back often. :-)

The service is close to five stars, the food closer to two stars. They have a heavy hand with the seasonings, and not in a particularly good way. The hot and sour soup seemed to have a huge helping of black pepper, which isn’t the type of hot that I expect from hot and sour soup(chili heat is more like it). My nephew doesn’t like spicy food and his orange chicken was really spicy(chili, this time). My kung pao chicken suffered from way too much saltiness. The quality was good, but the seasoning was so off that it made this a likely no-go for a return visit I hope our experience was an anomaly, as the service was really good.

OMG! Buuuurrp!!! The food was great. Not too salty with just the right kick, although i can handle more heat. The only critic i could think of was not enough noodles on our veggie chow mein, other than that awesome food! Will definitely be back.

My husband and I come here several times a month. Great food and service every time! We usually have the Szechuan dinner for 2 and always have left overs! Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Love this place!

My family usually gets Canton Village delivered at least once a month. We order quite a bit so we can have leftovers for the next couple of days. We’ve been customers for at least 5 years and there has never been a problem with our order. The delivery people are always nice(one we see often LOVES to say hi to our dogs) and the food is delicious. My personal favorites are sweet and sour pork as well as honey walnut prawns. Dining in is also a nice experience. The service is great and the general feel of the restaurant is nice. While I prefer to get delivery for convenience, it is very nice to be able to sit down in a relaxing environment as well.

This was some of the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten or rather attempted to eat. I ordered wor won-ton soup, beef teriyaki skewers, house fried rice, and chicken lettuce cups for take-out. This first thing I noticed was the wor won-ton soup was brown and not a golden color chicken broth. It tasted like soy sauce and water, had no flavor, smelled weird, and all the meats were over cooked and rubbery. When I finally found the won-tons at the bottom of the container, they were gummy and chewy with no flavor. Next, the beef teriyaki skewers tasted like baking soda! Tons of it and no teriyaki flavor at all. They were again chewy without flavor. The fried rice was dry, dark brown in color, no flavor, and again meats were rubbery. I guess the only seasoning they use is soy sauce, and not even a high quality one to boot. The only thing that tasted half way decent was the chicken lettuce cups. I threw the entire meal in the garbage which cost over $ 40! Biggest waste of money ever. You are better off going to Safeway and eating their Chinese food from the deli or eating at Panda Express because the quality is better. And these places are not known for their high quality Chinese food. I know what good quality Chinese food tastes like and this sure as heck was not it at all. I will NEVER return to this restaurant again.

The food was excellent! It didn’t take too long. I’ve visited here twice and got the lunch combo. It is a great price for a great amount of food. The service wasn’t too bad either. I do recommend visiting when they aren’t too busy.

After a nice shopping trip at the outlets, we wanted to find some food around Livermore to sit out the massive traffic jam. Canton Village sounded promising as the reviews were good & so were the pics. Upon arrival, we were very skeptical because the strip mall was pretty deserted. The only other business that seemed to be doing business was the Little Caesar’s a few stores down. It seemed to be pretty busy that night & the food was taking quite some time to come out. The waitress offered us complimentary soup as we waited which was nice. The hot & sour soup was on the sour side. Not my cup of tea. Speaking of cups. One of our cups was super dirty! The booths were ripped so we sat on a lot of duck tape & the placemat was an informational Chinese zodiac paper. Hmm. Not off to a good start. We ordered the HK chow mein, eggplant with garlic sauce, crispy fish with garlic sauce & peppery salted prawns. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs cause we took half of it home! The chow mein was just okay to me. The sauce was strangely overly cornstarch-y? The eggplant had weird seeds we’d never seen. The fish was not crispy enough, batter was light but it needed to have more of a crunch. The sauce on top killed any residual crunchiness. The peppery salted prawns were the winner with it’s slightly spicy kick but again, we wished it was more crispy. This is definitely not authentic Chinese food. I would skip this place. Maybe that’s as good as it gets in Livermore but I expected more! Oh yeah, and there was the issue of them not fixing the ladies’ restroom. Which only allowed one person at a time. You can see my agony as that left only one other option… Fail.

Won ton soup is always good when you’re sick. I had been feeling under the weather for the past couple of days and today I finally felt like eating. I looked on line & read several reviews for Canton Village. I was very impressed with their service. They said to expect delivery in 45 minutes, but my soup arrive within 35 minutes. I liked the lemon chicken too. The food was very good. The soup had more veggies than I expected. I think I have found my new chinese food restaurant. Thank you Canton Village for making me feel better today!
