All of the wines are good, and some are exceptional. Maybe it is the volcanic soil or the gentle north-facing slope; whatever it is, there is some very concentrated fruit coming out of this winery. I think they will become famous for Barbera and Primitivo. It is also a great visit. The Cordi’s are accessible, friendly, knowledgeable and overly-modest. Tucked into the northern foothills of the Sutter Buttes, their winery is simple and charming. The surrounding landscape is beautiful and the drive to it – past almond orchards, a wildlife refuge and various small farming enterprises — is part of the pleasure. This is a place worth a frequent visit, and these wines are definitely worth following over time. Steven D. Oregon House, CA

This is a great little winery hidden away near the base of the Buttes. Great wine, friendly owners and good prices. They also have special events and special deals every now and then. The tasting room is pretty tiny but totally expected being a new winery. It seems they are getting more popular as last time I was in there the room was pretty full. I’d definitely recommend checking out this hidden gem!

Love, Love, Love everything about this winery. Barbera is my fave but others are great as well. Teresa and Reece are awesome, such a great couple. I’d drive to the moon and back well at least from Rocklin. Maria

Who would have thought that in a sleepy little town like Live Oak in rural Northern California there would be a fantastic little winery? There is! I grew up in the town next door and laughed out loud when my parents told me there was a new winery. Now, a new prune dryer or rice field, those are a bit more likely. But, I was pleasantly surprised by Cordi Winery. Barbera grapes are challenging to grow, so cheers to Cordi for having successfully made a fantastic Barbera wine. Very tasty. I didn’t get a chance to go out to the winery while I was in town, but they do tastings by appointment(just give ‘em a call and see if someone is available to pour for ya). Hopefully next time! PS– Looks like Cordi won a 2012 gold medal at the prestigious San Francisco Chronicle wine competition. Read more:
