My wife and I used Tom’s Top Notch Painting based in Columbine Knolls, Littleton recently. While the service was speedy, the quality was likewise and they left us quite a mess. On top of that, they wanted more money for dubious things that were not advertised to us beforehand and should have been included. It is a family business, with Tom, his wife Lee, and their son going at it. We had negotiated a deal via email with Lee, that would include us using a credit card to pay for the services. When it came time to pay up, Lee told us that she would not accept a credit card, despite us offering to pay any discounts or fees she would incur. She dug in her heels, and refused to honor her agreement to take our credit card. We had Tom also paint the inside of some of our closets. He charged us $ 250 for two(2) hours worth of work, using our paint. On top of that, he had the audacity to request that the homeowner stay ahead of him by prepping/cleaning the closets, including the removal of hardware. Did he at least re-install the hardware? Of course not. We don’t recommend using these painters. The prep work is minimal, and they don’t have any problems painting over dirty surfaces. There is nothing«Top Notch» here. Don’t let their name fool you… Update: We ask Tom for some touch-up paint since he never bothered to come back and fix his work. We are still waiting.
