The food and service were excellent as we’ve come to expect. The owner is very hands on and cares very much about his customers. We are very fortunate to have a Restaurant of this quality in Highlands Ranch. I hope someday they will serve dinner as well.

The coffee and baguette were good. The server was friendly, however it took over an hour to get breakfast and another 20 minutes to get the check. Super slow service. Sadly, not worth the long wait.

Authentic French bakery serving the best French pastries croissant’s and baguette’s in the city! Everything we have had here is excellent(both sit down & bakery to go) my only disappointment is the bakery items are inconsistent so rarely have I walked in and been able to get that bakery item I was hoping for and had to settle for something else. However to be fair… what I end up settling for has always ended up being delicious.

Pros: Food was DELICIOUS!!! Perfect! Service was very attentive .they kept asking every few minutes if I was ok. Atmosphere.Charming…Eiffel tower in the main window, made me feel like I was in Paris. Owner readily available. working up at the oven as usual, owner’s wife with pretty smile as usual. Cons: I only wish that they would have updated the Holiday schedule online, I went there twice and found they were closed. And when you take out after eating in the restaurant, tip should not reflect take out but food eaten in only. Little but pricey,.Im on a fixed budget… although above is true, I can only afford to eat here occasionally… but well worth it… wil be back!

Ate breakfast here! Wow! Loved my vegetarian crêpe. The augratin potatoes were cheesy Rosemary goodness. Also enjoyed my morning after apricot almond pastry! So excited to take my kids when they get home for holiday break!

Wow what can I say. Never had French cuisine before. Absolutely amazing, and filling. From the hazel nut coffee the scrambled eggs in a baguette. A must. You will love it and make plans to return.

Damn that was good. After reading some of the negative reviews dealing with poor service I was ready for a «Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde» but was disappointed :-). The front counter staff was friendly, knowledgeable, patient and accomodating. The two owners were on-hand and, while busy, took a moment to say hello. People were having a nice, casual, very French morning breakfast at the restaurant and I loved the counter. Now on to the pastries… wow, awesome, amazing, delicious. The croissants were perhaps the best in America(and while I’ve not eaten everywhere, I have eaten them in many places). The pain au chocolat with Nutella is addictive… light, tasty, chocolate’y, and gooey. Yum. Fruit pastries were light, fresh, wonderful. This is a heck of a place in the middle of suburban sprawl in the center of a strip mall but well worth the drive from anywhere.

Sandwiches, so big. But it is mostly just bread. You’ll feel like a duck. Service was slowish. I’d give the French Toast a try. Okay atmosphere. Haiku review.

I usually read reviews here before trying most places so I did it backwards this time. I read the reviews with lowest rating first today, but we went to brunch there on Sunday. Then I sorted by newest first. Interesting. I wanted to give this place 5 stars because it was really good, and as rated, it is pricey and the service is slow. Is that the way it is in France? Never been there. I had the blueberry/raspberry french toast. I have posted a picture of it. Never had french toast like this before, the bread was very light and buttery, quite tasty. Everyone in our group had different dishes and nobody claimed they were disappointed in any way except I did notice others besides myself looking around waiting to get our checks. And when we did we threw our cards on them right away so we could facilitate moving on with our day. I’m sure we will be back at some point, maybe when we have company come into town.

One of my joys in life are delicious baguette sandwiches, so I was really looking forward to coming here… Finally visited here for the first time yesterday, around noon — totally fell in love. Eric was behind the counter, and was so nice and friendly. We ate in, but It looked like they had a great to-go sandwich deal that included a pastry as well. By the time we were there, there were not many pastries left, which we expected, but I still managed to nab a Nutella croissant(which was large and delicious). We also sat and ordered some sandwiches for lunch. As a preggo lady(two days past her due date grrrrrr), my sandwich options are limited, but I went with the Poulet, which was grilled chicken, mozzarella, lettuce, and tomato. Husband went with the Brie Chaud — Brie, ham, and carmelized apples(which is what I would have gone with if I was allowed deli meat!). The sandwiches were enormous, much larger than I expected, and each of us only ate half. Both of us really loved our sandwiches, and I can’t wait to go back when I can have free reign of the menu!!!

Being french myself and taking into account that this place is randomly located in the middle of the suburbs of Denver, I must say my expectations weren’t very high… Well, I was completely wrong! The menu has clearly been adapted for the American crowd, with loads of french toast(actually not very common in France) and scramble eggs(definitely not common either). The two things I tried were very authentic: I had a spinach quiche, which was really tasty and tasted just like my mother’s quiche, and a chocolate croissant, which might very have been the best«pain au chocolat» I have had outside of France! For some obscure reason(missing ingredients maybe), croissants in the US never taste quiet right, even if they’re from a french bakery. Well, Pierre Michel French Bakery makes them just like back home! Amazing! Now I’m actually excited about going back to Denver, just to go get my croissant fix! I generally liked the ambiance as well, in particular the old school metal boxes for sugar, the ads on the walls and the french radio station. I just wish they would get rid of the sparkling giant Eiffel Tower…

I have been looking for a nice breakfast place and a nice bakery in this area for a long time and am very glad to have found it here. The breakfasts are generously proportioned, deliciously prepared, and reasonably priced. I have twice had the chicken and spinach brouillade on house made croissant, both times it was amazing. Flavorful chicken, rich sauce, crisp and buttery croissant. We’ve also sampled their sweet croissants and pastries, including the rich almond crème, and the strawberry nutella. And of course, the breads: moist and tender, but substantial on the inside, crisp and perfectly cooked crust. Service is friendly and fast, and somehow this hidden gem is never busy. We will be back again soon.

I am foreign, french heritage and moved here from London a few years back. This place has the BEST egg scrambles I have had since I had my grandmother’s. I love that you are encouraged to sit down, eat comfortably, and take your time. I struggle to eat knowing that at any second a waiter is going to plop down my bill and expect me to shovel my food in, and get out at most casual dining restaurants and cafes in the US. Th person who said that this is trying to come off as a high end restaurant has clearly never been to a high end restaurant. It is very successfully trying to be a café and bakery, which it does VERY well. My only complaint is that I wish I had it all to myself :)

The people who complain about the service need to recognize that this place is run by a family from France. In France, you don’t go to IHOP and have mediocre eggs in 5 minutes down your gullet. You take your time eating. That’s part of how they operate. If you want a fast breakfast, don’t go at 8:00 or later on the weekends. The place is packed because the food is amazing and you will spend about 90 minutes eating there. There are times the service is not up to snuff, however those times are very rare. It’s pricey, yes, but then again where else do you get blueberries that fresh? Everyday? Fresh fruit is expensive. If you want cheap, you know where to go. This place isn’t it. Quality matters. As for the food, it’s really good. I know people tend to think Highlands Ranch is nothing but chains, and that’s not entirely true, but this place stands out even among people who know what really good food is. Anyone who says otherwise about this place doesn’t know, it’s not a matter of opinion. The eggs are wonderful and the pastries divine. The only minor complaint is the potatoes, depending on which dish they come with, can be a bit lacking in flavor. It’s a minor complaint given most other breakfast places serve burnt cardboard and call them potatoes. Not accounting for individual taste, this is truly a gem for Highlands Ranch and Denver as a whole.

This place tries to come off as a high end restaurant but it’s in a strip mall. A previously closed«My Favorite Muffin». Food was delicious, no doubt about that. but the service leaves something to be desired. The food took a long time to arrive. We had to ask for more coffee. They give you a carafe of water but coffee is not so easy to get. It’s not a good place to bring toddlers or restless children. My nieces are Montessori taught so they are very independent which has its disadvantages. The price was outrageous. I can’t justify spending $ 25 per person on breakfast and coffee, no juice or extras. I think there are wonderful breakfast places to eat for less than half that amount. I’m glad I tried it at least once. I’ve been to Paris and it didn’t take me back.

My favorite place I’ve found so far for breakfast in the Denver area. The owner’s story is great(moved their family from France to CO in 2008), and the owners themselves are often around and have always been super nice and welcoming. The pastries are off the hook good. They make all sorts of croissants with stuff inside them and other amazing flaky bread pastries. Today I had the croque madame and it was simply beautiful.

Crognets are great(cro-nuts?). $ 5 is a much higher than I would pay for it though. Had to try it because of all the hype. Had breakfast here on a weekday. There were only a few tables around us, yet service was extremely slow. We had to wait a long time to be served and for our check. Our server just disappeared on us. The décor is very french, table setting is classic, a lot of character in the décor, a little tight because the place isn’t incredibly huge. But everything in Europe is tight, so I would call it authentic. croissants are great… over $ 3/each. The bread, butter and jam were a hit for my 3 year old. I have to admit… I wasn’t impressed seeing cold bread and butter. The butter was refrigerated and hard to spread. But oh my gosh… totally good and worth the patience. You can tell it’s fresh. And everything French has butter right? We had the croc legume and a seasonal special. Very tastey… a little heavy for my taste though. The latte and cappuccino were excellent!

I loved Pierre Michel at their old location and I love them at their new location! Scrumptious pastries, amazing chewy/crispy crusted baguettes, and delicious breakfasts. Also the owner is lovely. Pierre Michel is always worth the shlep out to Highlands Ranch; it’s as good as good it gets!

The new space is large and bright, offering much more dine-in seating. I dropped in after an appointment to grab a yummy sandwich before heading in to work. My one and only gripe is the amount of time I waited. It was close to 20 minutes before I got my sandwich and was on my way. So don’t go in, thinking it will be quick. That was my mistake. The sandwich itself definitely made up for the wait though. It was absolutely delicious and enormous(cost was around $ 10.50). Half was more than enough to fill me up, so I had lunch for 2 days. And, it came wrapped in aluminum foil so I could easily wrap it back up to keep. I opted for Le Parisien — baguette, butter, brie, ham, and pickles. So, so good! I had been to the previous location for pastries. On this visit the pastries also looked decadent and enticing, but I was able to resist. Currently their hours are still through lunch, but sounds like the plan is to start offering dinner soon. And, I did overhear another customer asking about catering and it sounds like they have some options for that as well. It’s lovely to have a great French bakery so conveniently close to home.
