This is seriously the best mexican food I’ve ever eaten. It was so exciting to be offered a gluten free burrito and gluten free green chili! I love the service and the food is delicious! Please support this mom and pop small business.

The Peruvian food was absolutely amazing! And I had chili rellenos with the most unique jalapeño sauce instead of the standard green chili. Everything was so flavorful and perfectly prepared. Plus the server was incredibly inviting and attentive!

Went for lunch the other day. Good tacos. Not usually in this part of town, but I’d go back if I was.

Alright, to be perfectly honest, I have lived in this neighborhood for almost 6 years now and have never stopped here. The main reason I didn’t stop was the sign said«Express». In my mind, that meant not authentic Mexican food… boy was I wrong. As we were searching for a place to eat tonight, I decided to read the reviews on here and that’s what made me give it a shot. I had the build your own combo, 2 cheese enchiladas, 1 bean burrito and a tamale. Everything tasted great. It reminded me of the restaurants that my grandmother would take me to when she lived in New Mexico for a while. Needless to say, I will be back again. The food was so good that we decided to finish everything off with some sopapilla’s. Amazing! I would recommend taking the«express» word out of the sign. It’s keeping people away.

Even though I drive by here almost every day, I had never eaten here. I finally stopped in and am glad that I did. Starting with the chips and salsa, the chips were very good… the salsa was just OK. I added some queso and it was very good. Then I ordered the Diablo burrito and found it to be very good. I could only eat half of it because it was too spicy… but what I did eat was great.

I have lived three blocks from this place for 7 years and boy did I not know what I was missing. We stopped in here today and had a little business meeting and now i’m kicking myself for not coming before. Nice atmosphere and great food. Server was very attentive. Will be back for more!

This was a good Mexican restaurant. If I’m in the vicinity again around chow time, I would go back.

The food, price and margaritas are great. I had the Pick 4 combo that included a nice sampling of freshly prepared options. The tamales were delicious and cheese and onion enchilada was made to order. I’ll be back here soon!

We think this is one of the best places to eat Mexican food. Impeccable service, fresh food and always served piping hot! Top shelf margaritas are the best. It is a quiet and small place … Highly recommend!

Close to auto dealerships on south Broadway, I went for lunch and had a taco salad. One helpful waitress and about 10 customers. The taco salad tasted very fresh with sour cream on the side, which I liked. The customers around me seemed to be enjoying their lunches as well. When I’m having my car worked on, this will be the place for lunch. Small, clean, and good food.

The restaurant where we ate for dinner earlier today cannot be the same restaurant that has earned so many great reviews. I’m starting to think we ended up in some darker, parallel universe. First, the chips tasted as if they came from a bag… and one that had been sitting out for too long. The salsa was OK, but nothing to write home about. Both my friend and I ordered combination platters, which were just meh. We didn’t order drinks or an appetizer but did decide to split the Tres Leche Cake as it’s been years since I’ve had this dessert. Contrary to the other reviews, what we got was hard, grainy, and seemed to be nothing more than an old piece of cake that had been covered in sweetened condensed milk.(Real Tres Leche Cake should be so smooth and moist that it melts in your mouth.) On top of that, the service was remarkably slow and inattentive. Look, folks, I’ve lived in and around Santa Fe, New Mexico. If you’re wanting anything that might be close to authentic New Mexico food, this isn’t the place. That it has earned such great reviews speaks volumes about how pathetic the Mexican venues are in this area.

I went here on April 31st, I ordered two enchiladas to go. The order taker recommended the la Diabla sauce. I tried it on the side. I ordered a Coors beer while I waited for my order. She charged me $ 3.25 for the beer, I looked at the, menu and noticed that domestic beer costs $ 3.00, I was charged $ 2.00 for a small container the size equal to one you might get for free from any other restaurant. When the food arrived the enchiladas were so small that I thought they surely must be joking. The side of beans were no larger than one teaspoon. I was totally disappointed with this place. I was charged $ 13.97 for my meal and I feel that it was over priced. I will not be going back to eat here.

This place is great. Great food, Great prices and EXCELLENT service. My lady and myself came here once just because it was close and now it is once a week. The food is delicious and the portions are more than generous. It is clean and the people are very friendly. I have told several people about this place and have not heard anything bad. For great food and a great atmosphere, this si the place.

This restaurant confronted my tastebuds with such pleasantries-similar I imagine as seeing a wizard on top his majestic steed in a rainbow colored cloud. The steak burrito was tender and rich with spice and flavor. It’s staff friendly and welcoming. It would be wise to visit this establishment.

The fajitas for two is an excellent, delicious and very filling meal. The sangria and house margarita are great drinks. The service is great. I’ve been here a few times now and each time I’ve been impressed with the staff. The portions and prices are very fair. This is a great place for lunch.

We recently moved from LA and have had a hard time finding a Mexican food restaurant to replace the many amazing options in LA. OSFE is the closest we have found to a replacement so far. Food is great and inexpensive, huge menu and great service. Can’t go wrong.

Quick, cozy, tasty & inexpensive! This place delivers! This is not a fancy, schmancy joint so don’t hate people. Food was on point & the margs were nice & strong. Give them a try for a totally satisfying meal!

I hadn’t had Mexican food in so long, I forgot what it tasted like! Luckily Old Sante Fe Express is down the street from my house. I thought I would give them a try and I am glad I did. Mexican food is one of my many comfort foods and when I get a craving for it, I have to satisfy it. ESPECIALLY, a burrito craving. We decided to head over on a lazy Sunday evening to grab dinner. We were seated at a comfy booth next to a window and brought menus immediately. The waiter was really nice and asked us if wanted beer. Yes please! Two, ice cold Negro Modelos were brought out shortly after with a fresh wedge of lime. I ordered the Shrimp Diabla plate and my boyfriend got two fish tacos. We enjoyed our beers and some fresh chips with salsa for a bit and before we knew it, two, steaming hot plates were delivered to our table! The food was so good. The portions were pretty big too! The shrimp were perfectly cooked and the sauce was super spicy! This plate also came with beans, rice, salad with Mexican cheese, salsa and fresh flour tortillas. I made some mini burritos out of my fixings and ended scarfing down the whole plate. I had a couple bites of my boyfriend’s fish tacos as well. They were excellent and super crispy! The creamy sauce complimented the spiciness very well. The bill was pretty average, not too expensive. I was happy with the food and customer service here. Next time, I’m going to order my burrito for take out!

The bad Unilocal reviews on this poor restaurant’s page are the most disgraceful display of first-world problems: «ehhhh the chicken wasn’t PERFECT»; «aghhh the soda was a little FLAT»; «ugh… it wasn’t crowded so it must not be good!». Serious? Listen, people! I paid $ 33 bucks and my wife and I ate WAY more food than we should have and had some margaritas! We were served by real, live, hard working Mexican people with a smile! They set the tone to our experience. The food was great! Sure, it’s not«Cholon» or some fancy«fine dining» Americanized expensive restaurant. It is a small, probably family-owned restaurant, and they work hard to give you some good food and a pleasant experience. If you are seeking PERFECTION, bring your snobby ass to a «fine dining» restaurant and spend all of that money that you must have and enjoy the décor(or whatever). If you are feeling a hankerin for mexican food and just want to have a nice night out without breaking your budget, this is a GREAT place to go. At the end of the day, I love supporting family owned businesses. They work hard to run a restaurant here. You all need to realize that your negative reviews could affect a family that is just trying to get by. The place is clean, the food is good, the people are nice. You seriously need more than that? Come on!

I love this place and don’t understand some of the sub-par reviews. My family and I have been regulars here for a few years now, and we’ve never had a bad meal. It’s reasonably priced Mexican food that’s delicious and served quickly. The servers are all so friendly and nice. My favorite is the #1 combo: choice of chicken or beef taco, cheese enchilada, and a bean burrito, which I believe is under $ 9. You can’t go wrong!
