Haven’t had good experiences here unfortunately. The food is mediocre and the staff was fairly rude! :-/

The Old Mill is closed. Now Cliffhangers. I’d wait until Oct 1 for their real opening. Not much on the menu until l they officially open in Oct before they have a full menu. Waiter said that they were repainting. It needed it.

Came in on a Tues. night at prime dinner time 6:30 with my brother-in-law who lives in Littleton. I wanted a nice big cheeseburger because we were eating hospital food all week visiting my sister. The empty parking lot should have been a warning sign, the smell of the place another. There was no one to greet us and not a single customer in the place! If that doesn’t want to make you run like the wind I don’t know what would. We determined by the voices from the kitchen that they were indeed open. We took a seat at a booth and soon enough a server came over from the kitchen to take a drink order. We were tempted to have a house made beer but after seeing the brewery conditions, opted for a soft drink. There was a long pause between seeing the server again after she disappeared in the kitchen. She came to ask if we decided what we wanted. No. Maybe because we had no menus? Another long pause. She came back and said«do you have any questions?» «Yes» I said, «where are all your customers?» «Well, you should have seen us Friday night, we were packed in here. School has started you know and people don’t have time to eat out.» What? If that was the case all restaurants should close down for dinner. She looked perplexed. We both decided on a cheeseburger, one Swiss/mushroom, the other just American cheese with fries. She had to write these out so I guessed there was no POS system or she didn’t want to get all her other orders confused. After 24 minutes a second server brought them out and turned for the kitchen. No silverware. No napkins. No one in sight to ask. They were all in the kitchen. That must be some kind of great social gathering area. If I ever come back I want to sit in there. The burgers were big and tall and dripping in grease, just as I was wishing for, but when it came to the fries, they tasted very strange with a distinct chemical taste. My dining partner agreed and we stopped eating them. My advice to this place is to call Bar Rescue as soon as possible. If for nothing else than to find out what is so intriguing in the kitchen. The pictures below pretty much sum it up, Empty, lonely and half drank beers.

So I’m mysteried by the reviews. Frankly, they had scared us from trying it. But we bought a Groupon so decided to try it. We just made our second visit and had another great experience. The staff did a great job of making us feel welcome and very attentive to our needs. The GYROS are AMAZING! The owners are Greek so I definitely would recommend the gyros, very fresh, very flavorful. The home brewery choices are limited but the ones we have tried have been wonderful. The strawberry wheat and the apricot wheat were spot on. We highly recommend the Old Mill and will definitely be back again and again. We have sat outside both times because the weather has been so good and no smoking on the deck(love it!) Groupons are usually available but on Tuesdays and Wednesdays are BOGO on the menu so if you are worried about the other reviews use one of those methods!

Since the newer owners have taken over this restaurant/bar it is much improved. They have very large and juicy burgers but the beer was above average. There is plenty of parking in the back which is hard to find in Downtown Littleton. They put a lot of gravy on their biscuits — a lot to soak up. The server very pleasant we didn’t have a long wait.

If you value your time and money, don’t go here. I repeat, do NOT waste your time and money. Horrible, horrible and slow service. Food is hit or miss… and when it’s miss, I’m talking inedible. Tried this place out now 7 times(yes seven, I remember each time from the frustration and disappointment from this place) over the past 3 years to try and support local business and to see if any improvement — none. And has the health department even heard of this place? Dirty floors and tables, I’d hate to see the kitchen. My final visit was yesterday to get rid of a Groupon, what a nightmare.

It’s been awhile since I’ve been back in Littleton and finally had the time to stop in for some yummy gyros. Love this place! Friendly staff and great food

The Old Mill is just okay. Unfortunately, after a couple of visits, to give them the benefit of the doubt, I just haven’t had a great experience with the food, drinks, or service here. On one of our visits the restaurant was virtually empty too. The service has been friendly but it’s gotta be tough to recommend the food when it just isn’t that great. Perhaps it depends on what you order, we have tried: Disco fries(you gotta eat these with a fork and ours were so soggy and just drenched in cheese and other toppings which weren’t particularly flavorful that we didn’t even eat them) Wings — small but well cooked(I would order these again) Open-faced Reuben — What??? For some reason there was not any 1000 island(which we asked for but it came quite a while after the food) — this was a critical error for us. Flattop Monte Cristo — not impressive at all, it was a sandwich that I might order again, just because it is rare to find Gyro sandwich — this was probably the better of the things we ordered Gyro quesadilla — I knew better than to order this — it just didn’t seem right to have gyro meat and tsatsiki sauce with a quesadilla and it just wasn’t for me. We have not tried the brunch here which we will check out in the future in hopes of a better experience. I will just note that there are some basic things about a restaurant that make you want to try again even when the food isn’t particularly good like the cleanliness, organization, and the demeanor of the waitstaff and I just am not particularly motivated based on my recent experience.

I really want to love the Old Mill, but unfortunately it just hasn’t met my expectations for a Downtown Littleton restaurant. The times we have come here to eat have been when the wait was too long at the restaurant we intended to visit, so we used the Old Mill as an alternate. …I don’t think we’ll be doing that again. On our most recent visit, we came on a Sunday around brunch time and were seated on the patio. We were allowed to choose our table, which was nice, and we were even able to switch when we got too cold in the shade. The servers are just as friendly and polite as you would expect them to be… they’re just not that great at waiting tables, unfortunately. They’re not terrible, but but they don’t make the experience better. Tiny mistakes like forgetting to bring out silverware before the food and taking a really long time to bring refills on coffee are common annoyances. Fortunately we’ve never had them make a mistake on a bill, though, so I suppose they could be worse. The food is… just okay, and really seems to depend a lot on 1) what you order, and 2) who’s cooking that day. This greasy spoon can be VERY greasy, depending on what you’re ordering. Noteworthy items that I’ve had in recent history include the grilled cheese BLT(in which two grilled cheese sandwiches serve as the slices of bread), disco fries(MUST be eaten with a fork!), and the Mass Confusion(more on that later). Of the three, the only one that I would order again is the sandwich. It was exactly as delicious as a BLT made with grilled cheeses as bread should be! Sadly, the Mass Confusion was just massively disgusting. Never have I been served a plate covered in so much white gravy that I could not even see the food underneath it. After much wading through the mush, I was able to locate a biscuit here, an egg here, a sausage patty under that… I picked at the plate and discovered that it was pretty normal diner food, all in all, but I left most of it due to the unappetizing presentation and the considerable amount of greasiness. Mass Confusion is a good name for this dish alright; but I think a better one would be Pile O’ Diner Slop. It is this dish that made me decide to never come back here for food again. Morning time drinks weren’t great, either. The bloody marys were weak and the coffee needed half and half to make it palatable. I will note that we have not come here in the evening for drinks, and I hope to do that soon. With«brewery» in the name, I would expect that one should really be coming here for beer. That’s why I’m giving this review 3 stars instead of 2: I can give the benefit of the doubt that they may be doing other things better than brunch, and I hope to find out for sure soon.

I can’t believe the health department hasn’t shut this place down yet. How disgusting! The floor is covered with grease, always, and the tables are sticky. The condiment bottles are horrid, and I don’t even want to know what the kitchen looks like. I’ve peaked into the prep station on my way to the bathroom, and I wanted to vomit. Is anything even sanitary back there? Me thinks not! Avoid, avoid, avoid.

First time here. Tried their breakfast. We all loved it. Ham and cheese omelette, veggie omelette and veggie scramble. All were so delicious and very generous portions. You get a side choice of biscuit, toast or pancake in addition to a choice of hash browns, potatoes or I think grits. Atmosphere was very family like even though it was a brewery/bar. Our server was the best. she was on top of everything and extremely friendly. We left very happy and thinking we just found a new regular breakfast place for us. They had lunch and dinner entrees too, but be sure to check their hours of operation since they are not open for dinner every day. However, they are open every day for breakfast. Wahoo!

I’m just waiting for this place to close its doors, so where to start? Firstly all their beer is flat, even the Coors. So I can only assume that’s due to dirty, warm, wet glasses. The beer has a horrible chemical taste, so again maybe improperly cleaned glasses, and/or unclean lines. The beer is served warmer than it should be, maybe the cooling system, maybe using warm glasses. This place tries to brew their own beer, but without being able to serve beer correctly they can never be successful. Also the beer is never let to age correctly, leaving it cloudy. Now let’s talk about the beer selection, clearly they have a love of fruit beer, and happily sacrifice traditional and popular styles of beer. When I visited I counted five variations of brown, and a single red, no wheat, no Pilsner, … So much for being a quality brew pub. Within 10 miles of this place are at least 5 craft micro breweries with a tap room. So for an additional 25cents a beer I can get a fresh, clean beer, from folks who know what they’re doing. In addition these taprooms bring in high quality food trucks, who deliver great food. In a few months one of the largest micro breweries in the state will open within 1.5 miles. It will have an associated restaurant on site. Finally the food. A friend of mine order a burger, well done. Imagine his surprise when he found the center raw.

These people shouldn’t be in the restaurant business. I don’t know why I have been back ever… but I have just because it is close to home. Never again, I will gladly pay more and drive farther to not endure an agonizing dinner experience. One time a year or so ago, I ordered fish and chips. It was raw, sent it back, it came back raw still, next I said screw it, I am just not hungry. Get charged still. Complain to owners(write email, zero response). Another time about a year after this, the food just sucked. Could be such a great place, but they just don’t have what it takes to run the place. I am hardly a food snob either. I think taco bell is ok for the money. My recommendation is to run away from this joint. There is a better way to utilize your money. Let this place starve itself out of business and let somebody get in there that has a clue. They honestly don’t care.

One star just because our waitress was great. The beer had to be some of the worst swill I have ever had. I had the Apple Crisp Red simple because I figured oats would compliment the grains already in a red and apple is rarely the worst thing in the world. Now keep in mind I have almost 500 individual beer reviews on Untappd and drink pretty much anything poured for me, but this was a two star out of five beer. And that was the best one out of the batch. The rest of the table had the Raspberry Reed, the Strawberry Red, the Regular Red, the Hazzlenut Brown and one other. The other fruity beer tasted like someone dumped crappy syrup into a mediocre beer. The regular red was bland and tasteless. The Brown tasted like fricking breakfast cereal. I’m guessing they fired a head brewer and gave someone the job that has no idea what the hell they are doing. The food was just greasy drunk food. The green chili was tasted like it was striaght from a can, the fries were decent, but ruined by pretty much everything else. The spinach artichoke fetea was a pile of crap on crappy pita, almost no artichoke flavor and WAY too muchof everything. the GBLT my girlfriend ordered was unappealing, so we boxed it and took it home just so as not to be rude, but it was only toasted on one side, the bacon was crap and the rest of the ingredients were from what I could buy in a fricking Safeway for $ 2.00 LIke I said the staff was fine, but you could tell when she saw us not eating all the food she got nervous and kept asking if we were ok. If any single item we had was worth a crap I would have bothered sending it back but I would rather vote with my money and post here than wait for a second round of garbage

The Old Mill doesn’t attract my attention since every single time I go there, the beer taste like complete crap. I have never had such disgusting beer and it is always flat. With that being said, I try to stay away. A coupon arrived in the mail for their breakfast and I figured I should try it. We arrived and were seated immediately. The breakfast menu is actually kind of large for a place known as a brewery. All I wanted was eggs and sausage. I mean a lot of it. They had exactly what I wanted. 3 eggs and a pile of sausage links. Perfect! They tasted great and the sausage was seasoned well. Brian got the gyro Benedict. It was weird, but good. Not something you would typically put together, but they presented it well. I would say the breakfast is worth going for, but stay far far away from their god awful beer.

Nasty soggy freeze dried fries, precooked rubber bacon, one slice of cheese fairly melted between two pieces of toast used as top of sandwich. The avocado was the best part. I ate it with s&p by itself. Burgers were fine but bland and soggy but big. Ingredients are just barely mediocre. Waiter was a douche bag. I bought deal for $ 5 for $ 10 bit because we ordered burgers and they were bogo he wouldn’t honor deal. It just would’ve been nice to know before hand. When I inferred the deal did not specify the burger deal he was rude and unapologetic mumbling as he walked away. Will not come back.

I have been on a quest for a really great burger. As burgers go, I like them more on the rare side of medium, but cooked enough that they hold together while eating them. I visited this restaurant based on the recommendation of a friend who knew of my quest. We were greeted by every staff member(5) who walked by on their way to serving other customers and they all asked if we were being helped. We were asked where we would prefer to sit and they were clearing a recently vacated booth per my request. The staff was friendly & inviting. They were very helpful with recommendations and they checked back a few minutes after delivering anything to the table to ensure we were pleased with our items. I tried the firehouse burger ordered medium. The chef made me a perfect medium burger! It was an amazing stack of deliciousness with jalapeños stuffed in the hamburger patty. The beer & cheese soup is delicious as well. We tried the disco fries of which they were good and an interesting concept. They were more like a taco salad with fries instead of lettuce. I was impressed to see that they have daily specials such as BOGO Burgers on Mondays & $ 2 Margs on Thur. We tried the house Marg, an average house Marg. We tasted the Apricot, Raspberry & Jalapeño Lagers. My favorite was the jalapeño and squeezing a lime over it added a whole new dimension to the flavor. I would recommend stopping in. I will definitely be back.

I enjoyed the onion rings at Old Mill Brewery very much. They had a nice batter, were perfectly cooked, had good flavor, were not too greasy. .. and perhaps best of all, the onion did not pull loose from the breading with every bite. The service we had was also quite good. I was less impressed with my burger. I had the gyro burger(with chopped gyro meat within the patty). It was a bit over done from how I ordered it. The«tzatziki sauce» was more of a «special sauce» that resembled a weak remoulade or spicy thousand island. It was a decent sized burger, but for almost $ 13 I guess I expected something really delicious, and this was just okay. I tried three different beers(all of the fruit ales/wheats). They were very consistent, but this uniformity did not equal quality. Each of the beers came across as thin, under-carbonated, and«artificial» in flavor. They were also not cold enough. None of them would make me want to come back to drink here again in the future.
