I love coming to murdochs for all my pet supplies! They have the best products for animals and all the employees are so knowledgeable on the products they carry its awesome i feel like i learn more things everytime im there. The prices are fair and my animals love to eat everything i get from there, and they are dog friendly and love to love on your fur baby. I don’t even live close to murdochs but to me its worth the drive. Keep up the great work murdochs all of your employees rock!!!

Have been shopping dog food at the Westminster Murdochs for several years. Every time we use the buy-12-get-1-free program, there is some reason we can’t get the«free» bag. We have been told: You have to have the receipts(even though the redemption packet says nothing about receipts). No, you can’t redeem this because you bought different sized bags(even though the redemption packet says you can buy 30 lbs or larger bags and redeem for the smaller size). We’re done with Murdochs as today they did not accept the barcodes from the dog food bags even though they were the original barcodes cut from the bags. Don’t offer these money-saving programs if you have no intention of honoring them! Not going back to Murdochs again. There are too many other pet food stores with good dog food to put up with the poor customer service of Murdochs.

Had been in this store a few years ago and LOVED it. Went recently and it’s gone down hill terribly. Run down, dirty, little inventory… sad to see that happen.

My husband & I stopped in today to exchange an Xmas gift. Diane, one of the sales people, went out of her way to help us with finding a better size, she even volunteered to call their other locations to see if they had what we needed. When that didn’t work, she provided several options & then walked us up to the cashier, Kaitlin, who also tried to locate the item online. Outstanding customer service from both employees! Even though we did not end up with what we wanted, we were both impressed with the assistance and my husband loved the merchandise available in the store.

I really love Murdoch’s, I do. Even though the only other one I’ve ever been to was in Parker so I don’t have much to compare. This store is huge, much bigger than the Parker location but I do agree with the other reviewer who said that customer service is basically non-existent here. It is difficult to find your way around, you could easily get lost there is so much to see. No one asked me if I needed help finding anything in the hour or so I spent wandering around despite coming across several employees. The apparel selection is pretty substantial but you get the feeling that this really is the Walmart of Western stores with the quality of products sold.

Four words: Live ducklings and chicks! No really, once you get over that seasonal display of cuteness each spring, this is an excellent place to find a good selection of tack and horse cookies.(My girl prefers the peppermint variety and not much else, to be exact, so we buy in bulk!) Always enjoy perusing the rest of the store, this is essentially the Wal-Mart of rural living, after all, and you’ll never know what cool, useful, or wholesomely fun thing(think rubber band rifles) you might run across! Definitely have bought a very nice jacket from here, some gloves, many socks, and odds and ends such as tie downs, first aid kits, and other assorted camping gear and nick-nacks. Only downsides so far: not much selection for women’s boots or riding apparel, and my poor boyfriend has size 14 and rather wide feet. Men’s boot selection is much better than women’s, but not in his size!

I finally made it into this place the other day(after my mom kept nagging me) and I fell in love. I grew up in a rural area in Colorado and while my extended family don’t also live in rural Colorado, they live on and around farms in rural Ontario. I raised goats for 4H when I was younger. However other than that I wouldn’t consider myself a «ranch» person. My brother’s girlfriend competes equestrian and lives on a ranch, but I don’t participate in anything like that anymore and don’t have close contact with farm animals(no more chickens, goats, etc. like when I was younger). Since high school I’ve lived in some liberal urban areas before coming back to Colorado. All that said, I still love this store. I went in looking for wood shavings for our turtle. Instead I found a massive pet selection(I just left Petsmart picking up things for our new rescue dog and still bought a few more things). You can get dog treats including pig/sow ears and snouts bulk style with a paper bag. The animal supplies go form domestic(cats and dogs) to farm animals(chicken feed, a HUGE equine section including harnesses, clothes, apple treats, etc.). You ca even buy 50 lbs bags of peanuts as feed. Everything is just as cheap as the other big pet stores or even cheaper(a giant bag of wood shavings was $ 9, a small one at Petsmart was at least $ 15). The a la carte treats were the best, 70 cents per giant sow ear? Awesome! My dogs loved me when I got home. Beyond the animal supplies there’s an amazing clothing selection If I had more money I would have picked up a few things on sale, not too trendy but not frumpy pieces in all colours and styles. I saw a few pairs of cow(girl) boots that I’m dying for now(can’t wait until my next paycheck). It’s nice to find a store with clothes that aren’t over the top trendy but are still fashionable, not something you’d expect at a «feed and ranch supply» store. Biggest perk? They carry Silver jeans, a style that as a 6′ 3″, 135 lbs female with a 40″ inseam, are some of the only I can wear. I used to have to get them at the Tall Girl store(the only one in CO on the 16th Street Mall closed and I have to go when I’m in Canada) or special order them. I just wish things were a little less expensive, but that’s my cheap brand new teacher salary speaking, compared to other stores the prices were reasonable. The store also carries things like auto supplies, camping gear and other«home and ranch» needs. But the best part is the candy selection at the front. Old style taffy and other treats you can buy bulk style or in bags. They also have new candy. It reminds me of being a kid at a place like the Cracker Barrel when we did cross county road trips. There’s also some fun gifts at the front, that make the store more unique than the typical«variety» store(Target, Wal-Mart). Everything was tied together by how nice and helpful the staff was. They were always asking if I needed help, but not in an obnoxious way. The check out woman at the front was great too. I’m definitely shopping at here a lot more. There’s also a new location in Parker at Lincoln and Parker Road(CO Hwy 83).

I am not certain what the other person was talking about but this was the worst experience of any store I have been in. It was about 10:00 am on a Thursday and not one person acknowledged I was in the store. I went up to the counter and asked about oil lanterns. Without talking to my face but the counter, the woman said if we have any they are in camping. I had never been in the store and had no idea where the camping section was. I wandered around the store as a few other people were and there was not one person to help. I finally found someone in the back and they said they had no idea but would find someone to help. No one ever returned her call. I asked where the other Parker store was, no idea, I asked who did the clipper sharpening, no idea, asked about delivery of a snow blower, no idea. I decide to leave and someone at the front asked if I found what I needed. I, as well as the other people wandering the store never really got help. I explained that it was a horrible experience and instead of saying please, let me assist you, all I got was sorry. This place must do a great horse-set business to not care about any other customers. Other people were complaining about the lack of service and knowledge and also left. One would think in this economy people would care about staying in business. My impression was I was doing them a favor coming into the store. For you info sales staff and store, I was doing YOU a favor by wanting to purchase items. The customers are the ones who make it possible for someone to sign your paycheck. I left and purchased the $ 3, 282 of items between online and another store. Never would I recommend this place.

OMG! I just discovered this place. The staff was so friendly. Everyone I saw said hello with a genuine smile and asked if I was doing ok. I felt very welcomed there, not like an outsider. The prices are great: I found my dog food $ 7 cheaper per bag than at Petco or PetSmart. I asked if that was a sale price or normal and they said it was the normal price. The birdseed was at a bulk price of .75 cents per pound. They also had a bargain bin where I found suet cakes for half price making them .75 cents(don’t know why, but the birds still love ‘em) so I picked up 6. Their SmartWool socks were cheaper than REI’s too. I’ll definitely be going back.
