We had breakfast at the Diner Sunday morning. The service was excellent and the food outstanding. Our waitress was very attentive without being intrusive. We will definitely make the Diner a regular stop.

Very solid diner — good food, reasonable prices and friendly service. I ate here twice while in the Franconia Notch area for a hiking trip and both meals were excellent. On my first visit, I ordered the«Irish» sandwich(corned beef with smoked provolone cheese and steamed cabbage on ciabatta bread) which was absolutely delicious and very flavorful. It paired well with the spicy brown mustard they provided. I’d recommend to anyone who is a fan of Irish-style comfort food. The fries which came with the dish were similarly to my liking: not overly salty or greasy. On my return, I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, which which decent overall, though not as good as the«Irish» sandwich. The meatballs were well seasoned and tasted like they were made with quality meat, but the tomato sauce was somewhat bland. Still pretty good though, considering it’s a diner, not an Italian restaurant. Servers were highly courteous and really went out of their way to make sure I was having a good dining experience. Décor feels like it’s rooted in a couple decades back and the overall atmosphere was that of a friendly, down-home neighborhood eatery. It really had the feel of a quintessential New England diner. As I only stopped in for dinner, I did not sample any of their breakfast offerings, though I certainly hope to the next time I am back in the area. Their pancakes are supposed to be the stuff of legend. Prices were quite reasonable, pretty standard for a diner, I would say. The only thing to note there would be that the restaurant is cash-only(ATM is provided on premises) and they do not accept Canadian currency(relevant to our neighbors to the north in the area on vacation), per the sign at the cash register. Excellent establishment overall. I love the area around Franconia Notch and hope to return soon and would definitely dine at Littleton Diner again.

When you first come in you get the feel of a nice country diner. The staff were very friendly and made you feel welcome. We had a seat in a booth facing the street and a great view of the nice homes on the hill. My family and I ordered breakfast, build your own menu. The price was fair and the food was amazing. I will definitely come back for some more.

Our waitress was nice. But if you are expecting a home cooked meal-don’t eat here. We ordered the meatloaf, which may have been made in-house but was smothered in gravy that came from a jar, served with frozen French fries and a dinner roll that came from a factory. There is nothing home made about this place that we could see.

We stopped here in the evening, on our way home from visiting Mount Washington. I have to say, the food was fantastic(I had a belgian waffle and scrambled eggs, and my friend had a tuna club sandwich with fries, and both meals were excellent), but the service was very unfriendly. I’d go back for the food, but it’s not a place I would recommend if a smiling waitstaff is important to your dining experience. Also it should be noted that no credit or debit cards are accepted… it’s cash only. They do very helpfully provide an ATM, if you don’t mind paying the fees.

Went back in 2012 and it was still pretty darned good. Not liking the extra charge for real syrup, but eh.

Food was reasonably priced. Staff was extremely friendly. Only complaint for me and my spouse were the potatoes were very salty. We would go back again

It’s ok. Outside of nostalgia, nothing special. Coffee Pot Restaurant best in town for breakfast.

Decent location with convenient parking. Aesthetics on the inside are typical to a diner, but the boots are rather uncomfortable and the signs on the wall, such as «notice: children left unattended will be sold» and«harassing the cook will definitely result in a smaller portion» seem crude and uninviting. Employees give average service. If you desire enthusiasm and conversation with your server, probably not the place for you. But if you want straightforward service with food that comes out fast, this could be an option. Large servings for the price. But the food is very mediocre. Not a lot of flavor, your mother probably makes a better meal. Not necessarily terrible food either though. Also– there were a lot of flies, especially in the bathroom.

I would have given it a 4 star but my pancakes were over cooked and hard. Everything else was spot on. To bad but i will definitely try them again.

My girlfriend and I went here for breakfast while on vacation. Compared to all the other food we had on our trip this place was the bottom of the barrel. I took over an hour for basic breakfast. The wait staff was loud, shouting and slamming chairs around. Food cost was cheap but so was the quality. My girlfriend ended up not eating her food. We left and went elsewhere.

Best corned beef hash. More corned beef then potato. Buckwheat cakes are a bit«heavy» for me. But a cool spot in the middle of nowhere NH.

Excellent breakfast at a very affordable price. I had the corned beef hash with wheat pancakes and over medium eggs. So good! Pleasantly surprised with the hash — homemade, no canned stuff, seasoned well. The pancakes were different but delicious just the same. They use stone ground flour from the local mill. They are kind of dry but soak them in their real maple syrup, add some butter, and they are really good. If you’re looking for a more traditional pancake, go with the buttermilk. Cash only!

Im from Vt. Went there with my girlfriend, twice and we were both happy with our meals every time. We had breakfast one day and lunch the next day. We’ve had ZERO complaints as far as the meal goes. Big portions, and pretty tasty. Affordable too.

Perfect breakfast to start the day. We had a party of 10 and they were able to accommodate us quite quickly. We had a variety of items including Buckwheat Pancakes, French Toast, and the Diner Melt. Definitely recommend the real maple syrup, it was scrumptious! Everything was delicious! Never saw the bottom of my coffee cup which is always a plus. This is a perfect breakfast stop before enjoying the White Mountain area.

Unimpressive, even by diner standards. Went in for lunch, and not a single smile was seen by any of the employees the entire time I was there. The chipotle chicken panini was cooked nicely, and the fries were the thick cut new england style. My friend’s turkey dinner stated on the menu that it was served with a roll but it was not. A quick run through with a broom would also do wonders for this tiny place. The food wasn’t terrible, but the unfriendly staff and the dirty restaurant will keep me from returning.

This place definitely has the nostalgic, good old times feel to it and the staff are friendly, but each time I have been here the food has been alright or just sad and soggy. I usually order diner staples like grilled cheese sandwiches and such and have not had a really good one yet. Today for instance, we waited forty five minutes for grilled cheeses(was not crowded) and when they were served, the bread was barely toasted at all and the fries were room temperature and soggy. I don’t know. I like to go here because of its history, and the people are always very sweet and welcoming, but food wise I must say I haven’t had great experiences. This was no exception. I will still go but maybe I will try other menu items and a different time of day other than lunch. This is cash only but there is a debit machine on the premises.

We had a perfectly pleasant lunch here; it’s pretty much a typical diner, or at least a diner as a diner should be. The service was quick and extremely friendly, the prices were quite reasonable, and the atmosphere classic small-town New England. The hotdog itself was your typical kosher-style, but most importantly it is served as a hot-dog should be: on a buttered top-slice bun toasted on the griddle for that buttery-deliciousness. These things are so good that I have to mail-order them for the summer(no thanks to my local grocery stores which only stock terrible southern versions that are just all wrong). Why JJ NIssen won’t sell them over the internet to us displaced Northerners is beyond me… The lobster roll(from the special menu so it may not always be available) was surprisingly good. It was mayo-style, and from a glance it looked like it was pretty shredded, but it actually had plenty of chunks of meat, and was overflowing with lobster for the price.
