Beauty treatments are evolving by going back to basics. I am a female with dark body hair and I’ve always been on top of my hair removal game. I’ve waxed my brows to toes for years and a friend in the beauty industry who has waxed me before let me know about this new treatment out there I should find someone who can try this on me, Dermaplane. I googled and learned it involves a blade running over your skin like a super delicate barber shop shave. The razor also exfoliates as it’s brushed over the skin so you get that as an added bonus along with the unwanted hair removal. I agreed this should be something I should try on instead of my routine monthly face wax. Looking at the before and after pics online I wasn’t shockingly impressed, but it’s so dry here in Colorado I really wanted that added good exfoliation so I googled around to find Dermaplane near DU. Kristen with KEM Aesthetics was professional, kind, and made me feel comfortable trusting her my first time trying this new hair removal method. Even though I wasn’t getting a massage with her I felt like I was being pampered. Feeling my skin afterwards and the fact my skin didn’t get irritated like it typically does post wax I am a convert easily. Kristen showed me all the little tiny hairs and dead skin she scraped off my face and I was so thankful she enjoys doing this and that my face was probably the cleanest it had ever been and felt. I don’t hear Dermaplane talked about ever so I feel compelled to spread the word. I’m a huge fan and plan to see Kristen regularly for it and will likely book a massage with her too.
