Great place, family friendly if you go early. Staff is always helpful and have great attitudes. The happy hour is amazing with $ 3 craft draughts. If you haven’t been here yet… you should.

We had a great Saturday afternoon at jakes. It was a beautiful 60f day and at 4pm it was not as busy as I expected. We sat outside in the sun, played board games and had a great old time catching up with friends. There’s heaps of games to choose from here but they bring their own because they said there’s often missing pieces. They have a huge selection of beers but they don’t typically do flights. The staff were awesome and just made something up for me. Got me to mark a few that I wanted to try on the menu, gave me smaller pours and wrote which ones were what on the bottom of the glasses. Happy hour on the weekend is 2pm — 6pm so at $ 3 a pint you can’t really go wrong. No food but there’s a food truck out the back, yesterday it was a sandwich truck. It was alright. Our friends got the steak sandwich and they looked way better than my shrimp one and my hubbys pork one.

This is my favorite bar in Denver. Atmosphere feels like home. Great and rotating beer flows like the salmon of Capistrano. AJ, Pat, and Owen are the people who will always be serving my cool and tasty beverages. Well done Vanessa.

This is my favorite Beer Garden. They offer a large selection of rotating handcrafted beer from all over the world. I always find a great beer on their list. They frequently have live music and food trucks. Great place to hang out with some friends, watch the game or play games and enjoy beer.

We visited downtown Littleton and had a great experience at Jakes. Awesome service and drinks. We look forward to exploring the bar portion next time.

Love the atmosphere, service and coffee at Jake’s. The coffee shop part of the business needs to be rated separately than the bar side in my opinion. And as far as coffee shops go, it is one of my favorites. I don’t have too much to rate about the bar side in terms of beer selection, I always find something I like. Good happy hour prices. It always has a great atmosphere, especially when the bluegrass band plays. I have never found the bar tenders to be especially friendly but that’s not really necessary.

Pros: Good location. Plenty of curb parking nearby. The microbrews here are fantastic and make the bar worth a visit for beer connoisseurs. All servers and bartenders I have encountered over time have all been pleasant folks. Pro and/or Con: A good mark for some, a bad mark for others.. .the place is a bit hipster. Cons: Little to no food options depending on the time. Also, regardless of which table you sit at on either side of the building the bar is always freezing cold inside from fall through the beginning of spring. Bring a light jacket to wear inside!

I have been to Jake’s a few times, and it is now my new favorite spot. Not only is the staff very welcoming but the owners are as well. Every night it seems like they have something going on, which is awesome.

Good, not great beer bar. I have a few nitpicky things that will probably keep this place from becoming a regular stop for us. The long wood bench opposite the bar is just awkward. My wife and I sat on the same side on that wood bench and it’s about 6 inches too high to be comfortable. I’ve never been accused of being tall but this bench just doesn’t work. Then the wood back is sloped a bit too much. I moved to the chair side of the table and was probably 6 – 8 inches lower than my wife’s eye level. It was just not comfortable. It kept us from staying longer and having more drinks. Another nitpicky beer geek thing is I ordered the Platt Park Oktoberfest beer. Beer gets delivered, it’s in their branded tulip. Huh? I had to stop for a second to remember what it was that I ordered. Is this a big deal? Probably not. Do I expect to get a proper serving vessel when I’m at a beer bar? Yes. They had a good selection of styles and locations for craft beer. This is a big plus. One of my local spots I hit a lot is Maddie’s in CR and they don’t tend to have that broad a selection so this was a big plus. They had some stuff from GABF that doesn’t usually make its way to CO so that was a double plus. And, I think I heard about ten songs from Greensky Bluegrass on the speakers and they are just awesome so that helped.

Positives 1. Great beer selection! And good coffee. I Think they brew Nova. 2. Feels like a real hometown pub. 3. A good place to meet s friend or to study(during the day). Outdoor seating is available. Drawbacks 1. The food is just so-so but that is normal for pub fare.

Looking for a patio and a yummy cold beer? Jakes is definitely the place to hang out on a late afternoon or evening(they have overhead strings of lights on the patio too that provides perfect lighting!). They have just a few snack options for food — soft pretzel with my beer? Yes, please! Jakes also has a great selection of beer on tap. I am not a beer expert by any means but they had great suggestions and the very knowledgeable bartender was able to find me something amazing… malty and slightly sweet. The bar itself is also super cozy with lots of comfortable seats and games spread about as well. When I was there in the early afternoon there were several people by themselves working on their computers and a couple of groups just chatting and having a beer — very chill and friendly place. I’ll definitely be back!

So my first Five Star is not even a restaurant — well — not exactly, although they do have various snack food options which have proved decent. They also let you bring your own food in, or often they have food trucks on site. Jake’s in short is what we consider out local. Not everyone knows our name — but a good number of the staff do, and while we probably don’t stop in every week — we feel right at home there every time. We have introduced many friends to the place, often run into friends or familiar faces, and even if there is no one there we know, it is usually easy to strike up a friendly conversation. No surprise then that my wife chose it as the obvious place to host my surprise 50th party late last year! It was a great evening. I popped in last night for a beer and a chat with an old friend. My wife and I had stopped by earlier in the week as one side(they have two adjacent spaces) has a beer garden and it was a perfect afternoon for a beer outside before probably one last touch of winter set in mid week. Yet as usual — even going back just a few days later — there were some familiar taps — and some new. I think in total they carry around 40 taps so there is always something interesting to try. Cheers!!!

Average. Came here with my side kick and neither of us were excited about this place. It may have been the vibe given that was given by the two bartenders or maybe it was the guest at the end of the bar with nothing but negative things to say. Not sure but when the bartenders and guest start talking about the pretzels being 5 years old and I’m eating them as they joke I don’t feel to comfortable about my atmosphere or the people there. They clearly have no common sense about the business industry. Can’t speak positive about a place that speaks negative.

Amazing place. Coffee by morning and beers by afternoon and evening. A true«brew» bar. The drinks they make are top notch and perfectly pressed. The beers… well with that list I just want a cot in the back thank you very much. Epic beer list. This place has two of my favorite things, eat that Starbucks. I’ll take Jakes.

Great ambiance. I’ve been here a number of times now. It has two sides. The smaller side serves coffee in the morning and beer, etc. in the afternoon evening. The larger side has more beer taps and stays open later. The only thing causing this to not be 5 stars is the lack of food. You can bring your food in. They should set something up with all the neighboring restaurants to have food delivered — even for a minimum $. They could put together a menu of the different items that can be brought over. But overall, a great place as it is.

Jake’s has been a great meet up spot, second office, hangout for the past couple of years. You can count on a good crowd, knowledgeable and friendly service and good brews from all over Colorado and beyond. Chris and Amy are rockstars. Definitely a stop for anyone who lives in the Denver area and beyond. The new beer garden side is fun but has a slightly different vibe than Old Jakes, so you can kind of pick your vibe.

Met some friends here last week. We had a small party on the patio with a very nice set-up. From the name you know the place is a beer bar. Another bartender that does not know the differences between whiskey’s, when you ask what kind of bourbon do they have they told me every whiskey, Scotch, Canadian and Rye. Oh well, not THAT important, but when I settled on the only bourbon they carry, Jack Daniels, and asked for it with water, it came with no ice. This place does not serve any food but will let you take in food from outside. Apparently they do not have any menus from the numerous places up and down Littleton Blvd. that offers takeout, That seems kinda lame. Colorado beers are half off during happy hour. They bar seems to pride themselves on the fact that they do not have adequate staff, as the chalk board tells you to come to the bar if they don’t come to you. I see no reason to return to this place.
