Helen’s Barber Shop

I want a haircut, not a style, not a fad. Mine is easy, high and tight. For those who don’t know that’s a military haircut. I am tired of going to the affordable brand places that don’t even know what that is (I leave when they ask what that is). I also hate the big barbershops that cost over 20 bucks for a cut by a non barber.
Helen is not the most social person. She wants to cut your hair at a fair price and then you can leave. I have gone about five times now and we have said very little to each other. But my hair looks great. You want a friend, get a dog. You want your hair shorter, see Helen.

Finally, a barber shop that can cut my hair well! I have been to Helen’s a few times already and have been very satisfied. She was able to cut my hair very quickly. I appreciated that I didn’t have to share my «life’s story», I was able to get a haircut in peace and quiet. A men’s haircut is reasonably priced at $ 16 (plus tip). I am definitely a regular customer now.

Service was absolutely crap. I brought my little brother and nephew in to get a hair cut and the moment i walked in i got a horrible attitude.
I rather cut my own hair in stead cause the whole time she was cutting my hair she was so angry because she had to cut two kids and one adults hair… If you dont like your job then you shouldnt be working. She was so rude to the kids… My little brother was touching the flower and she yelled at him. I almost had to slap her. But just horrible service. And she’s the only one who cuts hair there. And if it ever gets busy then she wont be able to handle it. You’ll be fine if you bring your self but dont bring anymore people cause she might give an attitude.

We are a big fan of Helen’s. I take my 9 year old there and he totally digs it. There are no frills — just a good honest cut at a price you don’t feel terrible about after leaving. Beats any discount cuts places or those overpriced kids cuts places.

This lady is great at what she does. she is quick and confident without the typical cheap filler talk. I am a new regular.
