I don’t have many courses to compare against but I really like Lighthouse. Different elevations, a creek, big brush, and some chill spots make it an awesome and challenging par 3 course.

Fun, challenging course. Be sure to wear good tennis shoes because you walk around a lot and there are stickers and cacti everywhere. There are a couple holes where you have no clue where to go next but most of the markers are pretty clear. Not too far out of Denver, it’s about a 15 minute drive from DTC.

Badlands South is also ran by Mr. Ronnie of Badco disc golf. History goes, that Highlands Ranch zoned this space for a future park. Having petitioned for a disc golf course in Highlands Ranch, Ronnie finally was given the go ahead to plan and map this zoned area for baskets and pads. Highlands Ranch also informs the community that this will be a park(sod, playground, the works) in the near future. Ronnie was lucky to cement(literally) his course here before the park to ensure its vitality especially when this area becomes more esthetically popular. A course quite similar to Bird’s Nest, this course is played in natural grassland hills; the only difference is C-470 is 30 feet away at times(as pointed out by Ashley B.). This course is also near a RC car race course and the wonderful sound of high-pitched, high-octaned master toy cars goes hand in hand with driving handcrafted hardened plastic into the cool breeze. Again like bird’s nest, this course changes drastically after a recent mowing, and is quite open for driving practice and is superb in the winter! Definitely worth an outing!

This is a fun course. The view here is nice. There are baskets with some concrete pads and some dirt with barriers. There are a few things I dislike about this course though… The grass and bushes here are exceptionally tall in many places so watch where you disc lands carefully. There are a lot of really long holes. Not that it is always a bad thing but short ones are good ego boosters too! The holes zig-zag the open space and at times are throwing opposite directions from another group so watch for incoming discs and throw with care. Some of the holes you are close to main roads /highways. That’s okay unless you are looking to be in nature a little more.
