You can find a lot of inexpensive clothing for your kids at Act II. If they have stock that has been around for awhile — you get 50% off! The staff there is always helpful and friendly. Just by chance, I bought a $ 60 down jacket for FIVEBUCKS!

I had a horrible experience this summer with this store. I brought in at least $ 200 plus in merchandise(great brands), yet at the end of the consignment period I was told I only had $ 5 credit. I was surprised and upset because I couldn’t find some of my items displayed in their store during that period. I assumed they had sold. BADBAD experience. I would have rather donated the items to Savers. BEWARE of this store. They couldn’t even give me an explanation.

On Sept 15, 2015 I brought in décor and clothing for consignment. A number of items were accepted. About 1 week later I stopped in and mentioned that I had not received an email with the item list. Some research turned up nothing. The owner walked me around the shop as I looked for any one of my missing items. Nothing. She assured me she would make it right. A credit was mentioned ??? It has been a week and not a word. I wrote an e mail to here two days ago, following up, and asking if there was any news. Nothing. A credit for items I was hoping to sell can not be made right, but a phone call would be nice. Several months ago I asked for a check to me mailed for monies owed. I waited weeks. No check. I called again, and was told a check would be mailed. Several more weeks, and nothing. I made a third call, and mentioned I would use social media as a last resort, and I got a phone call, and cash waiting at the store the next day. I don’t think I need more poor experiences as a consigner to throw in the towel. Beware !

I LOVE Act II Consignment(in Littleton)! The people there are always very friendly and they have the best stuff! I should know, since I buy a lot of nice things from them. This is the best consignment store I’ve ever been to!

I have been here twice. The first time was probably like 7 – 8 months ago and they had some okay items. They had price tags that would make how much if it hadn’t sold in so many dates which actually made the shopper feel like they were getting somewhat of a good deal. But now they just have a one price fits all. I went in here looking and found a Halloween blow up cat that was priced for $ 32.00 I was like I literally just saw this at Wal-Mart for $ 20.00. It is that kinda pricing that is probably why I have never bought anything from here. There were also some frames where they wanted like $ 12.00 and I was like if I us a coupon I can get this at Michaels for half this price. Their clothes tend to go towards the older ladies like 50 – 60’s. So yeah. I think I am gonna skip this one from now one.

I love consignment stores. They’re good for the environment because they keep unwanted stuff out of landfills. They’re good for the economy because they encourage consumers to spend their money in a small business rather than the huge discount retailers like Walmart and Dollar Tree. They’re socially responsible because they give lower income people access to nicer things than they would otherwise be able to afford. And unlike second hand stores such as Savers and Goodwill, the people getting rid of their unwanted things can earn a bit of money also. I seriously believe that we could solve a plethora of social ills if more people would buy their clothing and home goods second hand, but I digress… I have experienced both sides of the consignment process at Act II. I have brought things to sell here, and I have bought things here. Either way, it has been a pleasurable experience. The staff are very helpful, the merchandise moves quickly and rotates often, it is ALL high-quality stuff(seriously, they’re really picky about what they’ll take), and there’s always a wide selection from which to choose. As a consignor, it’s very easy to get your money: you walk in and they give you cash right then. True, the store takes a hefty cut(60%), but that’s the price you pay for not doing any of the work yourself. Maybe you could get more for your stuff on Ebay or by having a garage sale; but is it worth your time and effort? Probably not. And then there’s an added social bonus: anything that Act II can’t sell, they donate to women’s shelters and other charities that benefit underprivileged people. All in all, I think it’s a fantastic business model and we should support it with as many dollars as we can! Especially since it’s the only consignment store in the area. In conclusion, I highly recommend Act II for anyone looking to buy or to sell. Go there now!

In my search for the perfect consignment store, Act II is my favorite so far. Their prices are dated, so if something has been there for awhile, the price goes down. I bought expensive workout pants– their resell price was $ 15, but since they had been there a few weeks, I paid $ 4 for them. I also bought a workout top and a nice shirt– all for less than it would cost me to buy lunch at a café. I haven’t sold there yet, but sometime I will have to.

It’s not as cheap as the savers next to it but the clothing and home goods are much nicer. They have a good selection of jewelry and handbags and you can even sell your own stuff here. It takes some time to have your stuff sell but I found dropping off some of my nicer items here and coming back a few weeks tends to have the lot sold. I tend to take the money made here and spend it there. It’s a family owned little place and the owner does take the time to learn you’re name and the kind of things you bring in. The store is a nice size and has a good amount to look at. I recommend this place for: Anyone that is looking to get rid of some nice clothing items. Looking for some nice jewelry. Looking for some higher end clothing that’s not an arm and a leg. Looking for some nice hand bags.

Overpriced– don’t bother selling. After u wash, iron, hang your clothes and wait, u won’t think the $ 6 was worth it for your whole lot.
