This Ace is closer and more convenient than Home Depot or Lowe’s, and I’ve enjoyed coming here for a few quick projects. I recently came to buy some canning supplies and browse their kitchen gadgets. I wasn’t disappointed in their selection and found what I needed for a successful canning season.

All of a sudden Aces are everywhere! This one is on the way to Aspen Grove, off Mineral, so it gets a stop in when we are going this way. However, the usual very helpful, very friendly Ace doesn’t apply. We really needed help one day and there was none to be found. No greetings, no assistance and no kind of interaction at the check out. It is weird and very un-​Ace like. Not to mention, this used to be a Marshalls and the whole set up is odd inside (right when you walk in it is all greeting cards and knick knacks!?). It works in a pinch, but we will try not to go here unless we need to.

Somehow the new area we’ve moved to is surrounded by Ace Hardware’s. I think there are 5 within a 10 minute drive. Unfortunately for this Ace, that means there’s lots of stuff to compare it to, which shows how much it really, really lacks.
The staff were less than helpful. They didn’t greet us when we walked in the door, no one came to offer us any help, and actually asked if I wanted a bag for my 5 easily baggable items.
