Ye Olde Pie Shoppe

We ordered cake for my son’s birthday. My son is into spiderman these days so we ordered a spiderman cake. The cake was awesome. We ordered a triple layered cake with two layers of vanillla cake and one of chocolate cake having custard and chocolate mousse filling and European Buttercream. The cake design was very beautifully done. My son and his friends absolutely loved it. The flavor of the cake and filling were very delicious. A little expensive but definitely worth it. Highly recomend the place.

Just had our baby gender reveal cake made by Ye Olde Pie Shoppe and it was amazing! The staff was so friendly and had a genuine excitement in making this special cake to announce our wonderful news. And the cake itself was delicious! This is the spirit of a true neighborhood family bakery that many of us grew up with.

We received our wedding cake from the pie shoppe and it was BEAUTIFUL & DELICIOUS !!! I can’t begin to describe the amazing work the shop does… It’s also delicious. Thank you everyone for your hard work, we enjoyed every slice !!!

My new favorite bakery!!! Love their cupcakes, especially the strawberry shortcake. Danishes are delicious and although I’ve yet to try it several people have recommended their apple turnovers. Prices are very fair. I’ve tried several bakeries recently and they all charge the same price for half the portion of cupcakes.

Stopped in for a few special treats to take home — amazing! the cupcakes (pattys favorite and pumpkin chocolate) knocked my socks off. I have a cupcake addiction and have sampled countless kinds in both nj and nyc– these put them all to shame. Moist, flavorful, beautifully presented. Can’t wait to try more flavors! The Christmas cookies were perfect. Not overly sweet, rich and buttery… just like homemade without the hours of work! I have to deduct a star for the disappointing chocolate cookies though. Tasted bland and stale :(

Tom & co. at Ye Olde Pie Shoppe prepared not only a gorgeous wedding cake but a very tasty cake as well for my wife and I. As a former pastry chef myself with experience making wedding cakes I am rather fussy when it comes to cakes and pastries. Tom definitely has the craft trade down pat. There is nothing worse than a heavy dry cake, yes? You will not find such an unsavory like that here (unless that is what you request). The cake was light and moist, it was even lightly soaked with simple syrup. The gum paste flower work was just outstanding and the perfect touch. The buttercream was out of this world. The scroll work was top-​notch. Way to go Ye Olde Pie Shoppe; we are looking forward to our complimentary 1-​year anniversary cake.

In Nov 2013 we ordered a wedding cake and southern apple cake breads with a caramel glaze on top as our wedding favors. WOW was the cake and favors a hit!
The owner was so easy to work with and had great ideas to help us make decisions and the cake and favors were just amazing. The cake was also beautifully done.
Highly recommend them and will definitely be back. They are my go to bakery from now on.

Everything is amazing at the Pie Shop! Especially the staff. We got our wedding cake here and have been hooked ever since.

Best Treats Ever

I went in for a consultation and was shown pictures of cakes completely outdated, say from the 80s/​90s. I met with the owner Eileen who was a very nice lady but a little ‘out there’. The best part of the consultation was tasting the cakes, although she was not prepared for us to taste anything (even though our appointment had been made over a month in advance). The European Buttercream is the best thing on the menu. I recommend going elsewhere.

We use the Pie Shoppe for all our desert needs. Everything from here has been fantastic. Cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and of course pies. We are using them for our wedding cake as well, and Tom not only is a very talented artist but made us feel very well taken care of. He clearly wants the cake to reflect us and our special day. I can’t say enough good things about this place.

We ordered our wedding cup cakes from here and they came out fabulous. Of course we sampled some of the other delicious treats and loved them too. The prices here were very reasonable and the owner was beyond helpful and understood our idea and made it a reality. I will suggest this bakery to anybody I know, whether for a wedding cake or delicious treat, ye olde pie shoppe is a great place.
