Witt Stephens Jr. Central Arkansas Nature Center

Nice place to relax and watch some fish and artificial nature. It’s free admission and free parking close by under the highway. A must see place in Little Rock. Does it deserve a second visit no.

If you dig Bass Pro Shop or Cabellas, you’ll think this «nature center» is awesome. The main theme here is to keep paying for your hunting and fishing licenses so we can all keep hunting and fishing like we always have. Very limited historical presentation topped off with a gigantic antique lure display. Plenty of stuffed critters and some reptiles and fish in assorted aquaria.

So awesome! And FREE ADMISSION?! So glad that we just happened to walk by after eating at The Veg down the street. (A local vegan food gem.) Thank you for getting people excited about nature & the importance of taking care of it. Loved seeing all the reptiles & fish. You can tell they are very happy and taken care of! Got to see the two young alligators at feeding time and was nice to see all the kids excited. I personally am a turtle owner of 13 years so I thoroughly enjoyed seeing them and well cared for! The volunteer there was a treat to talk to & she was very informative on the gators. and yalls gift shop had some really cool items at a fair price! Thanks again for such a neat afternoon spur of the moment trip!

Neat little spot right off the main drag in downtown Little Rock. It’s definitely a fun stop if you have kids. They have a couple of aquariums with live fish, turtles and an aligator! Best of all, it’s FREE!!!
