This place was pretty good. It’s in a great location downtown. The food was decent. I got the French dip sandwich with potato salad and an iced chai. The service was decently fast, and the sandwich was good. Would recommend to those in the area, but wouldn’t go way out of the way to get it. It’s a good place if you’re in the downtown area during lunch.

Great options for food and for drink; so many options it’s almost overwhelming as there are so many signs detailing everything. Very laid back and chill; not overbearing or overly attentive so it’s more of a so their thing and leave you alone which is good for some folks like me. Free wifi and pretty quick and easy to order and eat. Plenty of seating and plenty of food. More like a diner feel than a traditional coffee house but I dig. Coffee is just decent, not a true artisan coffee shop, again, depends on what you want.

Went with a very limited group. The coffee and all drinks ordered that morning were exactly as the business sells itself… sufficient. The coffee and espresso were light on taste and the food left a bit to be desired. The breakfast burrito was bland and basically just egg and tortilla while the pastries didn’t seem very fresh. The customer service was great though. Very friendly and helpful. The cashier chased a customer down after he left without part of his order. Plenty of seating inside with a comfortable leather chair and sofa section. Would’t go out of my way for the cup of joe but if I was in a pinch, this spot would be barely sufficient.

Sufficient coffee is a very good way to describe their drink. If there was a bean less of coffee it would be closer to water than coffee… But that makes me wonder, what exactly is coffee? Is it considered water with at least one ground coffee bean? Sufficient; meaning enough or adequate, makes me think this place doesn’t set the bar for good coffee, but is the bare minimum for what coffee is. Bacon, egg, and ham Quiche was quite edible however.

I love non corporate coffee houses… not as showy and fancy as Starbucks but then again… I only rated three stars because it was just what I expected. Which is a perfectly fine rating in my opinion. I only had an iced vanilla latte here, but they had a lunch menu. My latte was nothing out of this world just refreshing on warm Little Rock afternoon.

Not a great place for coffee. It’s meant for a dine & dash crowd, but nothing near what any espresso drinker is going to look for. Let’s just say they have me sufficient grounds to divorce myself from ever coming back.

Cozy, casual, and friendly coffee spot with good salads and good service. The fresh baked items are worth trying especially some of the brownies.

Really want to avoid Starbucks wherever I go, but am always worried the lattes won’t be up I scratch. Unfortunately sufficient grounds doesn’t do the best job on specialty drinks

Sufficient Grounds still aims to please! They have fresh, flavorful food, including salads, soups, sandwiches, wraps, and quiche. They also have varying snack food(veggies, hummus, chips, etc.); ever changing drink options(lattes, teas, frappes); and numerous dessert options(cookies, bars, truffles, etc.) Prices are very affordable, portion sizes are fair, and the food just tastes good. I personally enjoy the salads(try the Greek Chicken or Sufficient Salad) the best. They always have daily specials, be it lunch entrees or drink specials. Sufficient Grounds also offers multiple ways to save a dollar or two on lunch, including daily promotions, coupons, and loyalty apps. Great outside dining area, too.

My friend and I started the day off here, finding a coffee shop for my caffeine addicted friend. I however, am nowhere near the beans-o-phile than anyone. However, they do have breakfast foods and with a breakfast burrito on the menu I thought it couldn’t be that bad. They also had a breakfast taquito and I got both. The taquito nor the burrito had any meat in it and it’s my bias but I think breakfast food should have some sort of meat in it, sausage, bacon or ham and this is the south so it should be natural to expect that in any breakfast item I order. Both the south of the border breakfast items were just okay and the salsa that came with the burrito that I used for both was kind of bland. I ordered an orange juice and it was of the bottled variety. I can’t really make any judgement on the coffee but food wise it left something to be desired.

This is downtown and is an independent coffeeria(no such word, but let’s just coin a phrase, ok?) with two locations. Its inside an office building complex in the heart of the downtown district, which means some tall buildings next to some empty blocks. The space has a non-corporate feel, which means it doesn’t look like the cookie cutter Starbucks, it has it’s own sense of style. Our cashier/barrista person reminded me more of a coffee house in Berkeley, California, rather than Java in Razorback country. Sort of a mellow, laid back vibe, either part hippy like Berkeley or socially inept mountain man from the Ozarks. But he made the concoctions efficiently for us as ordered. Some seating, and the place is relaxed, despite being adjacent to an office building and everyone drinking caffeine. Latte, large $ 3.25
