This place is awesome! It’s a must see if you are in the area. The museum is family friendly with interesting African American history for the adults and hands on activities for the children. Little Rock should be proud. I wish the cultural center advertised better.

This is a museum of African American history, but you don’t have to be African American to appreciate this place! It is a beautiful building, especially the ballroom /auditorium on the third floor. Parking is on the side of the building, and there is plenty! There is NO admission fee, but donations are accepted. You can go through the museum at your leisure, or schedule a guided tour. Ummm, you should go check it out!

«The museum is dedicated to collecting, preserving, interpreting, and celebrating African American history, culture and community in Arkansas from 1870 to the present, and informs and educates the public about black achievements — especially in business, politics and the arts.» The museum is a newly renovated facility. It has a great layout, is very informative, and is one of the nicest museums to be found in Little Rock. Worth checking out!
