Mama B’s Take Out

We are so happy to have Mama B’s open in our neighborhood. I went today for lunch. My burger was really good. It was messy and greasy but yummy.
The negatives: I waited a little too long for a basic take out burger at lunch time. There were other customers but not really crowded. And there is no place to really sit and eat. When you walk in, you are in a narrow enclosure with take out ordering windows to the side. Once you order, there isn’t much room to stand and wait for your food without being in the way of the others coming in to order. There are a few tables in this area but no room to really sit at them and eat. Burgers are best when they are hot so you’d better be ready to get them and go straight home to eat.
The positives: The burger was really good. The sign says «hand patted» and it was obvious that it was hand made instead of out of a package. It was well-​seasoned, maybe a tad too salty but good. The patty was sort of falling to pieces, making it really messy to eat. Definitely not something to grab and eat in your car. I’m not quite ready to call it the best burger in town but way better than McD’s.
The neighborhood might be a little sketchy for some people but don’t let that keep you from going. The other customers were friendly and I had a great conversation with a couple of men while I waited.
Oh, and you can get Kool-​aid with your burger! Grape or Red!
I will definitely come back here for a quick take out burger for lunch.
