Four for cocktails… 3.5 for food… This is a family business and they are trying hard! I think it can only get better. The Mojitos are very tasty but expensive. I’m not sure how much alcohol they have. Didn’t seem like much.

HEADSUP: THISREVIEWISSTRICTLYBASEDONCOCKTAILS. We were wandering around Hillcrest at 3pm yesterday and needed a cocktail on a patio. This place obliged. The sign said«Rum & Lounge» and that’s exactly what we had and did. The cocktail menu is short and sweet. I started with a mojito — get the spicy one(my friend got it and it was better than my regular one)! — I tried a couple others, all were tasty. The drinks all took a short while to make, but we were waiting on quality, which I don’t mind one bit. The mojitos were perfect and worth the wait. I’ve attached a pic of the drink menu so you can see the different stuff they have and the price range. At 3pm the place was understandably empty, but the host/server was really nice and we got to sit on the lowest part of the deck near the street and people watch. It was a beautiful day, and we were shaded under a big tree — perfect chill spot. I’ll definitely come back later to try the food and update my review.

Great food, great drinks, great service!!! Our first time here upon recommendation of a friend. We ordered arepas for appetizer… super yummy! I had the shredded beef with black beans, rice and plantains and my husband had the sliced pork. Both dishes were delicious. Our food and drinks arrived quickly. We will definitely be back!!!

This place is just terrible. I’ve had multiple dining experiences here that have been below average, but the most recent one took the cake, and I felt I had to share. I agree with other reviewers that I think they’re trying… but just not succeeding. I first dined here a few months ago when it first opened. The food was ok, but the service was terrible and the wait time food the food was extremely long. I just attributed it to the restaurant being new, and figured it would improve. I have since gone back several times for a monthly meeting that we hold in their conference room in the back. Each time, the food has been disappointing… but again, this last week was the worst one. Our server raved about their new menu, and went on and on about a new pear and crab meat salad with aioli sauce. When it came out, I was shocked. It was literally iceberg lettuce with a few slices of pear and imitation crab meat, drenched in mayonnaise. I took one bite and couldn’t eat any more. The entrees then took awhile to come out. A few of us had ordered the seared tuna steak. First of all, when the waiters brought it out, they had no idea that the steaks had been ordered to be cooked differently — medium, medium rare, etc. They just looked at the outside of the steak, shrugged their shoulders, and guessed which one was which. And the steak was absolutely inedible. It was brown mush… no pink in the middle, no seared crust, etc. Again, most of it went uneaten. My dish was a grilled salmon… which was also brown mush. Nothing about it suggested that it was grilled. The only saving grace was the desserts. Our server went on and on about it, but at that point, I had completely lost faith in her and skipped dessert. But the people in our group who got dessert said it was good. It did not help that we had to get up several times during our meal to refill our drinks ourselves. .at a supposedly full service restaurant. Do yourself a service and skip this place.

I had the Alfredo with Parmesan bowl and loved it. My gf ordered the braised pork with plantains. All four ladies loved their meals. Sure hope this place stays. The chef actually came out to all the tables and gave us a history. The waiter was also very helpful explaining the menu.

This is a hard review to write, because clearly these folks are trying hard and doing some things really right, but there are some somewhat major kinks to work out on the way. The GOOD: Exceptional service, a cool variety of foods you’re not going to find anywhere else(Venezuelan food if I’m not mistaken). And on that note, the food is delicious! They have a spicy pepper oil that you have to ask for, but it’s just the thing for the food I tried! Delicious fried plantains, and I had an egg pocket type deal that was delicious, I’d say it was a cross between a thick, doughy pita and an egg burrito. Top notch! Especially with the black beans and that spicy pepper sauce. I also can’t say enough about the location, I love that patio. It’s cozy, can get loud, and is behind a tree so there isn’t much of a view, but it’s a wonderful place to sit and enjoy some good weather with good company :) The not so good… They have«Brunch,» but no brunch menu — it’s just a small Bloody Mary for $ 4 and $ 1 off of other cocktails(none of which is posted anywhere or printed on anything). That’s it. The coffee is watery, particularly noticeable in the coffee cocktail. And, as other reviewers have said, it’s a little on the pricey side. I think they’re doing everything right in terms of food and service, even if it is on the expensive side, but our experience with the drinks has so far not been so good. That said, it was certainly good enough that I will be back to try it again!

La Terazza is one of the best restaurants in Little Rock. Authentic Venezuelan cuisine something that is not done at any other place in the city that I know of, but with that being said anyone with tastebuds can tell that this place stands out. From the wonderful service to the well prepared and presented dishes this place does not disappoint. This is a great place for a date night or even a nice family dinner. I really can’t wait till I go again.

Wait staff was incredibly nice and ambiance was nice. Food was good, but I wouldn’t say it was something to call home about. I had the chicken with mushroom sauce and potatoes. The sauce was overly salty but otherwise tasty. Wine list was small, but they had some good selections. Overall, it was a nice dinner with some authentic Venezuelan dishes, but I wasn’t wowed by anything that would drive me to go back there. Personally, I prefer Café Bossa Nova if I’m looking for delicious South American cuisine.

Love this place! I never came to Acadia when it was here, but the new La Terazza is a delightful place. The atmosphere is playful with highly colorful art inside, and the best patio in Hillcrest outside. Prices are more than fair and happy hour has $ 4 Mojitos! The food has been incredible every time I’ve been here. But don’t take my word for it, go eat there yourself!

Fabulous food, super friendly staff. Still has some newbie kinks to iron out, such as they’d benefit from more than one bartender, especially on a holiday weekend(i.e., Valentine’s Day) and slow kitchen. Great food, cocktails, & ambiance, but don’t go unless you’re up for a long, slow leisurely dinner.

As this restaurant is walking distance from our house, we were excited to give it a try so we went for dinner Saturday, 1⁄9 at 8:30 p.m. First impressions: Walking up, we passed two employees standing by the front door smoking on the patio. Not very pleasant to walk through a cloud of cigarette smoke on our way in. The interior seemed… stark. Lighting was far too bright. About 15 – 20 patrons were dining, which is NOT a lot at 8:30 on a Saturday. Based on the reviews I’ve seen, I figured we’d have to wait for a table. Not the case. The good, the bad and the ugly: The Good — The onion soup was on par with good onion soups I’ve had elsewhere. Nothing remarkable, but it was solid. The tuna tartar appetizer was fabulous. The fresh tuna and lemon mustard vinaigrette dressing really got our taste buds revved up and ready for a delicious meal. The service was great. Gus, our server, was very attentive and not intrusive. Two thumbs up, there! The Bad — The wine list is abysmal. Eight wines to choose from. EIGHT. A restaurant that is attempting to be high caliber should have a wine list that reflects this aspiration. A table tent wine list doesn’t cut it. The Ugly — The main event. We compared the style of the food to that of a high-end college cafeteria. Perhaps we didn’t choose wisely, but again, if you want to be high caliber, every dish on your menu should knock the ball out of the park. I ordered the Asado. The meat was tender, but SO tender, it had the effect of either being in the sous vide bath far too long or being a pre-fab pot roast from Sysco. The texture was just wrong. Asado is supposed to grilled, and this dish absolutely was not. The texture of the veal demi-glacé was also off; it seemed as though the chef added cornstarch to cheat at thickening the sauce rather than spending the time to reduce it. I did not have a happy plate. My husband ordered the salmon. Similar to my dish, this was just okay. Passable salmon, standard mashed potatoes, and what appeared to be a frozen veg blend. That’s about all that needs to be said. Bottom line: Needless to say, we didn’t stay for dessert. Our bill came to slightly over $ 100. This was most definitely NOT a $ 100+ meal. If all of the dishes had been on par with the apps, we would have been pleased, but they were not. This place opened at a tough time of the year, especially with its huge, welcoming patio(when the staff aren’t out there smoking). We *might* give La Terraza another try once the weather warms up and stick with small plates rather than main courses.

La Terrazza is delicious. It’s a breath of fresh air for South American cuisine in Little Rock. I honestly think they have more seafood than ice ever seen in an Arkansas restaurant. However, the prices are pretty high. It could be good to have a happy hour to draw people in. Our server was fabulous! She went through the entire menu and wine list, offering suggestions. She also suggested a quick dish for a friend who arrived later. She rocked! I hope she stays! I did notice that their wine bottle was $ 37 when the glass was $ 9. If we had known that, we may have all ordered our own diverse selection. I feel that the bottle price should be a bargain in order to encourage its purchase. Wine bottles are approximately 4 glasses(4×9=36). We are wine gals – from Arkansas, DC, and California – so we know the trade. I’d specifically ask bottle prices if returning.

Very disappointing restaurant. I’m a huge fan of Venezuelan food and I was excited that Little Rock would finally have one. The atmosphere was fine although a little music would be an improvement, the tables were too close together(got bumped into at least 20 times during the course of our meal), the chairs were rather flimsy and not particularly comfortable(not something I usually even think about), the menu options were largely italian and spanish it seemed — traditional Venezuelan fare like arepas, cachapas, etc. were missing from the menu. The prices were high, portions rather paltry, and the quality was hit and miss. I will say that the shredded beef was superb but not enough to make up for all the shortcomings. I doubt I will return to this restaurant except maybe to give them a chance at lunch(which I understand includes more Venezuelan options and hopefully more reasonable pricing).

I was very excited about this restaurant when I heard it opening. Like… teenage girl at Bieber concert excited. But then all of the sudden I realized I wasn’t at a concert and fell back to reality. It’s time like these I feel conflicted. I’m excited about the promise but unfortunately I think the restaurant needs to fix a couple things. Here is my top pro and con, since I hate being a negative Nancy and rarely give bad reviews. Con: 1) the price points and dishes don’t align. I’ve eaten similar food in higher cost markets at much lower price points. My pabellon(sp?) serving size/quality seemed to be more a $ 10 – 12 instead of $ 16. Given how cheap most price points are in Little Rock, I doubt I’m the only one noticing. Unless I’m missing something… like I ate Kobe beef marinated in gold on accident. Pro 1) their patio is a strong asset but they are opening in winter. Hopefully they figure out how to fully utilize the patio as it has a lot of room. I hope that the restaurant figures it out, since I love food diversity. But I don’t think the vibe of the restaurant, food, and price points align very well.

WINNER! Fantastic new restaurant in the former Arcadia location! Venezuelan fusion restaurant that adds a great Columbian-Spanish-French flair to untraditional beef and chicken dishes. Intimate setting with excellent service(ask for Samantha) that is on point, and makes you feel at home. Armando Bolanos and his family have created an awesome diversion from the typical Little Rock chain experience. A MUSTTRY!
