Went here with my little sister and boyfriend. It was great. There was live entertainment and a chill atmosphere. My little sister had a burger and said it was the best burger in her life. My boyfriend had bangers and mash and loved it. The chicken was okay. It was a little bland but everything else was amazing.

If you want a local bar to drop in often, come here. The food is good but more than that it is a place to call home.

I am here at least twice a week. Great crowd, good scene, AMAZING burgers, and the menu has all the favorites with a few specials changing every week. Always something to do, comedy open mics on Thursdays, trivia on mondays, and bands on the weekends.

Unless you are a local/regular, expect to feel utterly invisible. You will be completely ignored. If the bartender is reading this, perhaps he will understand the twenty cent tip on the $ 20 check.

I come here on Monday night’s for the trivia. The food here is usually pretty good and the service is normally pretty good. I would suggest getting stuff off of the Irish classics part of the menus. The pub fair is classic stuff from sysco. Not bad but not good either. The Irish fair though is always solid above average stuff. They have something going on pretty much every night of the week.

They had to roll me out of this one, hoo boy! Here’s what Hibernia DOES have: — Big, juicy burgers? Check! — Thick, hand-cut, crispy on the outside, steaming on the inside fries? Check! — An event stage? Check! — Boisterous crowd? Check! The up-votes go to the event stage, the great Monday Night Trivia, the few but proud TVs set to FOOTBALL(Soccer!), the bar bedecked with banner after banner of UK Soccer teams, and the beer buckets. They also have the classic Brown Sauce that Fish & Chips were made to be doused with. That’s a special up-vote for me, as an old friend of classic UK pubs. What *Doesn’t* it have? Well… Let’s face it, it’s a bit of a sports/dive bar. My cheeseburger was decent, and really hit the spot at the time, but it was nothing to write home about. My friend and I each got fries too, and those were my kind of fries! I tried very little of the menu personally, and while I was pleased, that had more to do with the fun and energy of the crowd there for Trivia. On the service front, see the picture from Trivia night, it was packed, and they only had one server. Pixie, they called her, really went above and beyond — she was clearly swamped and stressed, but unfailingly friendly and was there when we needed her. Plus, she was near magical at re-filling drinks, there and gone before anyone noticed, but they always appreciated the full glass! Considering the crowd, the service was quick, polite, friendly, and just the right amount of sassy. For what it is, Hibernia hit all my high notes, and I will be back! …But I’ll be back with a crowd for a show, or Trivia, or a big Soccer game, not just to go in.

We were looking for a good place for Irish food as my wife wasn’t a fan of some of the spices from the local food. This place showed up on Unilocal, and we went, not expecting much. It looks like a regular bar from the outside, but inside is cool. Very eclectic with lots of Irish family flags, memorabilia, and center bar. A few TV’s were showing some football games. The bar had every type of good Irish beer, the Irish whiskey selection was excellent, and the dinner special of the night was corned beef and cabbage. According to my Irish wife, it was excellent. They had a great live singers playing some good upbeat music. Overall excellent place and we’ll be back again soon.

Been coming here since it opened and have never been disappointed. The best pulled Guinness I have had in Little Rock. Always a great atmosphere and friendly staff. The only people I have seen upset are those that expect this to be a bar, but it is not one, it is a Tavern/Pub; there is a difference. Always a relaxing place to unwind. I recommend this place to anyone I see and have never been wrong.

Had the bangers and mash and this is what it consisted of: two breakfast sausage links and a pound of instant potatoes with a little brown gravy. For some reason, things have gone really down hill here. Had to sit at our table and listen to the waitresses argue over something. Will not be back for quite awhile and that is too bad. I really enjoyed the soda bread and blood pudding.

Wow the food is really bad here, like really bad. I shall describe it. Four of us headed in on around 1:00 in the afternoon for some Guinness and traditional Irish fare. I mostly hoped it wouldn’t be Sysco-slop. I should be so lucky… I attempted to order the curry chips as an appetizer. We were the only diners in the place. The oldish-lady waitress asked us if we want the curry sauce on the side or the top. We say on the top. She tells us that we might not like it. Umm… Okay, it’s fine on the top. She refuses(despite offering it initially) and decides that we get it on the side. Doesn’t matter anyway as she forgets to put the order in. Twenty minutes later, I ask about our curry chips. She, the only waitress there, with the only table there, puts on her best astonished face and says«oh you didn’t get them yet?!?» I say no. She responds that they just had a cook walk out and the other one is just getting settled in. I don’t know what this means. We order our entrees, one each of the four«Irish Specials.» Irish Breakfast, Bangers and Mash, Cottage Pie, and Fish and Chips. They. Are. Atrocious. Eventually our curry chips come out, I wish they hadn’t. Curry chips are undercooked frozen steak fries, with the gloppiest flour gloop of disgusting, horribly-made«sauce» on it. I point out how it looks — waitress refuses to try a bite. Think country gravy with the consistency of sourdough bread that has been jammed full of old curry powder from your mom’s cabinet. Cottage Pie is an embarrassment of powdered mashed potatoes, overcooked ground beef and, seriously, frozen vegetable medley. Irish breakfast was inedible. Eggs covered in nasty bits of burned food from other breakfasts cooked on the same griddle. Sausages were gag-inducing. We shall never return. Two stars for campy Irish music.

Atmosphere is good, but the food has gone to pot. Overly greasy and bland. I am not sure what has happened(this used to be my favorite place for fish and chips). It also tends to be on the pricey side for beer with a limited selection on the beer tree. Glad the blonde Jerry is no longer there… I liked him, but he offended many of the patrons and alot of them have not returned. The bathroom is disgusting, like gas station gross. They failed to clean up puke and get the sour urine smell out… typically the bathroom is representative of the kitchen’s housekeeping, YIKES!

Very unique dishes, but the taste is nothing exceptional. Also, somewhat pricy for the serving size.

The first time i went it was after the lunch rush and me and my dining mates were the only people there. I was really impressed with the food and had a pleasant time. If it weren’t for this first uncrowded experience I probably would never eat at Hibernia. Dinner here is insane. Expect to wait a LONG time to be seated. Also, expect it to take your food extremely long to come out. The food is really good. Black pudding here is really yummy, but by the time you get your entrees you won’t even get to savor the food because you will be starving to death. I wouldn’t recommend dinner at Hibernia for people with small children because it is really crowded, loud and lot’s of regulars get pretty wasted.

I had such high hopes for this restaurant, with the excellent reviews and extensive menu offerings. I hate to say it, but Hibernia Irish Tavern was a huge disappoint. Truly… mediocre at BEST. I do like to look on the bright side, so I will start with the positives. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. And I loved the Irish music and décor. My biggest problem was with the food itself. Although the menu aimed to please with a large variety of Irish and American dishes, the food itself tasted frozen, pre-cooked, and/or canned. I tried a chicken sandwich, which tasted like it had been precooked and warmed slightly. My husband’s steak was very low grade, yet the flavor was alright. Canned corn was heated for the side dish. And, my friend’s dish also seemed to include canned, mixed vegetables. We all felt the food was way to bland and definitely overpriced for the cheap ingredients. Honestly, it reminded me of a frozen, microwave meal. Sorry to put it that way, but this is an honest review. With that said, I do not plan on going back for dinner or recommending it to others. If only looking for drinks, I assume it could be a cool hangout.

I’d love to give it five stars and I found no reason not to, it’s just the only tavern I’ve been to. Great food and atmosphere. Try the fish and chips at this place.

Went there on a Sunday morning. Not allot of people. Great Service, nice décor. The food came out hot and quick. I had Fish and Chips. For around 6 dollars. It comes with three medium size pieces of Cod. The batter was a beer batter with some black pepper. The batter was just right. The chips were home fries in rounds. The whole meal was very filling. My mother had what they call Cottage pie. A very flavorful version of Shepherds Pie. For me the best in town. They also have Hot wings to Burgers. I will Be Back.
