DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse

I LOVE DSW, but had a negative experience on Sunday. I am having problems with my feet & need to wear specific shoes, which equals expensive. I found some Clarks I wanted. I tried on the style I wanted, but they did not have my size in the color I wanted. The clerks on the floor were awesome! There are signs all over the store that tell you if you don’t find your color, they can order anything & shipping is free. The cashier was most unhelpful. I bought a pair in-​stock & was required to complete that transaction so they could check the other pair online. I was shocked I would have to complete a 2^nd transaction. She informed me that my size & style were unavailable but did not offer any other assistance. When I got home, I decided to go online to see if I could find another color. Imagine my shock when I found that there were several pairs available.
I could have used the free shipping, but since I need these shoes for a specific event & have some time, I will need to pay for shipping.
Unhappy with customer service.

They have made some changes in the layout of the store, and it’s not bad. The clearance section is no longer in a back room, so the store itself has an open look to it. The employees are helpful, and I love using my DSW mobile app to keep up with my information.
They have a great selection of size 8’s, so I’m happy.

Shoe heaven! I have always had excellent service here. I am sure there are bigger and better ones in other states; however, this is the best shoe store in AR as far as I am concerned. (maybe with the exception of Park Plaza Dillards’ shoe dept)

Located on the east-​side of the Promenade is DSW. My g/​f and I decided to browse thru since she found a great deal at her last visit.
There are DSWs in CA and this one was smaller than where I’ve been to. We went to the clearance area since my g/​f said that she found some excellent deals before. Sure, why not?
VERY small selection in my size (6). However, she had plenty to select from. I did find a pair of cas Steve Maddens for about $ 15. She found some hot GUESS stilettos for about $ 40, although I had to convince her to make the purchase.
Checkout was another issue. I didn’t have a positive experience with my cashier. She wasn’t very friendly and asked for my personal information to sign up for the rewards program. She kept asking me to repeat my info several times since she couldn’t «understand». It’s not my fault if you can’t comprehend lady!
I guess it worked out since I did get $ 5 off my purchase. There was a rowdy group before me, and the cashier made a sly comment into her earpiece to the other employees about them. Not very professional at all.
1 star for my deal; 0 for customer service.
