Baymont Inn & Suites

Want to sleep… don’t stay here!
The bed was as hard as a rock… freeway right outside window (and not well insulated)… and train whistles blaring all night.
And if you’re still awake when they put the free breakfast out… you won’t be hungry when you see it!
This is the worst hotel I have every stayed in.

Blood on the sheets from a previous guest. Staff resolved quickly, but should not have happened.

Bad location, poor customer service, shabby hotel.
We called before booking the room to make sure the pool was
open. They assured us it was. When we arrived, we were told it was
closed for repair. We were shocked and disappointed since this was one of the main features we were looking for. We deliberated on booking a different hotel. Upon asking for a refund, we were told they were now going to open the pool. Then we were given a dirty room. It looked like someone was already staying there or had just left. A new room (room 224) was given without apology from front desk staff.
However we were given a room with one bed and a very uncomfortable pullout couch instead of the two doubles which we reserved for two adults and two children. Later upon asking for more towels, as the room had only one towel, we were met with complaining from housekeeping that guests were asking for too many towels, that she was tired of washing towels and she was ready to make guests wash their own towels. She finally gave us two more towels, which were still not sufficient for both swimming and bathing. We were left with the impression that this was their reason for not wanting to open the pool.
Furthermore, the room only had 3 pillows to share among the four of us, the cable did not work, the TV only showed static. The room was uncomfortably humid, since there was no ventilation in the room — no bathroom fan and window didn’t open. This likely was the cause of the mold growing on the ceiling above the shower.
The fire detector was missing, leaving only wires hanging out of the
ceiling. The coffee maker was broken. One of the locks on the room
door was broken Also, the back door to the hotel stayed unlocked the
entire time we were there leaving the hotel unsecured. Overall an
unpleasant experience.

I was driving through Little Rock with my wife and infant child. My in-​laws had reserved the room a few days before, and they had requested a crib for the room as well. We arrived very late (with a very tired infant), and upon checking in the desk clerk asked me for a credit card saying that they had to have a physical card to swipe. I wasn’t sure how my in-​laws had paid for the room, so I went ahead and gave them my card to swipe.
When we went up to our room, the hallway smelled like sweaty gym shorts (no joke!), the safety latch on the door was obviously broken off, there was no crib, and there was what looked like a large blob of black mold in one of the corners of the ceiling. The nicest part of the room was probably the bathroom. I called my in-​laws to straighten out the room payment, and they had been assured by the manager a few days before that the room was already paid for when they reserved the room.
I went back down to the desk to get a crib and straighten out the payment with the desk clerk. Initially, she said there was no note on the reservation for a crib. But after digging for the payment info from my in-​laws, she found the crib note. She then (supposedly) removed my credit card info, and made a note not to charge my in-​laws’ card again. She also was going to look for a crib in the storage room since Maintenance had already left for the day. Twenty minutes later, I still had no crib and a very sleepy baby, so I called the desk and the clerk said that all the cribs they had in storage were broken! It’s a good thing we brought our own portable crib.
In the morning, the «hot breakfast» consisted of packets of oatmeal, pre-​packaged (greasy) muffins, a couple of varieties of cold cereal, a few oranges and a few apples. My wife had to use regular milk for her sub-​par coffee because there was no creamer. No eggs, no sausage, no waffles. We ended up getting breakfast (and coffee) elsewhere.
Several days later, we notice a charge on our credit card for the room. I called Baymont and they said they could not give me a refund without the receipt and that I would have to fax it to them. Sure, that’s reasonable. But after talking with my in-​laws, they said Baymont had not charged their card (they charged the wrong card!). Sadly, it’ll be easier for my in-​laws to write us a check for the room than for me to straighten it out (again) with Baymont.
Bottom line: My family and I will stay that the Comfort Inn or Best Western across the street in the future.

Not on my hot list of the Hampton Inn. So So. Use it because it was close to client

This property has recently been reflagged to Baymont Inn & Suites. This particular property is not worth the stay. I worked for Wyndham International and as this particular property is part of the «New Wyndham» there are some major problems that need to be addressed.
Our bathroom was dirty (pile of dust/​dirt in the corner) and a very moldy shower curtain. The doors (both bathroom and entry) had large gaps at the tops of the doorframes from the doors not sitting right in their frames. The beds are OK, not uncomfortable, but not really comfortable either. The A/​C system was noisy and would wake you up every time it kicked on.
We were in a group with 3 rooms. In one of the other rooms, the A/​C system was unplugged and partially disassembled — obviously not working. In
I now know why the receptionist at the front desk sheepishly answered «Yes, We have vacancy» when I asked at check-​in.
In the morning, breakfast was «tolerable». It was basically dried cereal, muffins, greasy sausage patties, and tater-​tots being passed off as hash browns.
