I met with bill via telephone with my brother Tim in the early summer of 2016. By that point in time I was under contract with a no-​frills contractor who was going to use cheap materials from China for the kitchen cabinets. Bill saved the project. We ordered high end Starmark cabinetry-​made in the USA-​high quality. Bill Hancock was able to do the virtual construction tour because it was accurate, informative, and actually helped us decide on the exact setup we wanted. My sister met with Bill and he was very considerate as she is handicapped to make sure the design was accommodated to her needs. The contractor was a complete character from the sopranos and was disinterested in the project once we purchased high quality cabinets. Bill evolved into a project manager, visited the house several times and spoke to a sub who «knew better» and botched the project and we had to reorder materials and

This business is a 5 star operation. You cannot go wrong by hiring them.

we worked with designer john gold and couldn’t have been happier. very enthusiastic and deals with our changing ideas very well! went to several big box stores etc and couldn’t find the quality we were looking for. starmark has awesome cabinets and john did an awesome design. as close to custom as you can get for half the price.

This is a great place for your cabinet needs! They have a very large selection that fit all price ranges… Make sure to ask for Alan… He was extremely helpful with the entire process and he never pressured us into anything we did not want. He also made sure to stay within our price range. Furthermore he was extremely knowledgeable and pleasant. In addition, when we needed customer service support for the delivery, they were both friendly and accommodating.

My wife and I would like to thank BILL HANCOCK of Direct Depot for the help and guidance he provided us during the planning of our kitchen remodeling project. He was very pleasant to work with and his knowledge of his products, as well as his understanding of construction methods and options were invaluable. We took a long time to make up our minds on some things and he was very patient. Bill made numerous helpful suggestions that we wound up incorporating into the project. The kitchen looks great with the STARMARK cabinets, all the parts went together perfectly, and the price was reasonable. Thanks, Bill!

We met with bill in late January 2012 to only do some price comparisons for a two bathroom project. I really liked how Bill Hancock was able to do the virtual construction tour because it was accurate, informative, and actually helped us decide on the exact setup we wanted. When we finally met with Bill, which was always on late or weird hours at our request, he wasn’t a pushy salesman, but very knowledgeable and understanding as to what we wanted and what would make the most sense in our rooms. He even showed us some additional discounts to the order through manufacturer sales and payment options that were a great help.
The only bad thing about the experience is when checking us out, even though the entire order sheet had our specified stain on it, one section didn’t and the manufacturer sent the wrong cabinets. This delayed our project by about 3 weeks!
Regardless, we’ll be talking to Bill again when we renovate our kitchen in about a year

I was very nervous about working with this company because of Unilocal reviews. However upon visiting the showroom, I met with a designer Melissa and she showed me all their different lines. She was patient, courteous, knowledgable and professional. I met with her at least 3 times before I agreed to work with them. Very low pressure experience! She helped me create my new kitchen and 2 new baths. I can’t say enough about how patient and professional she was at all times. She helped me create the design style I was looking for within my budget.
As for the cabinets: you can get everything from the economical to top of the line. Melissa worked within my budget to create the look I wanted. I found gorgeous cabinets here for much cheaper than other places that I had looked. You have lots of choice of style, color and cost.
I actually received my cabinets ahead of time, Melissa answered questions patiently and returned phone calls and emails promptly. I was missing a filler piece and they put the piece on order directly. Melissa stated clearly the times for delivery of cabinets which was 8weeks, and replacement 2 weeks. Very responsive to my questions and requests.
They measured my kitchen out, meticulously, left specific measurements, layouts, and design pics and notes for my contractor to install. They also have installers though I did not use them.
I have been more than happy with my experience with this company and Melissa was so so easy to work with. It is an involved and tricky process, you better like who you work with!

yes here we are almost 2 years later. This company was placed on the penalty box by Angie’s list for failing to resolve my issue. Consumer affairs wants me to take them to court. So if you get a hold of the passaic consumer affairs and call their direct line they can tell you of the cases they’re working on regarding direct depot. The BBB is still working on this for me.

I purchased Starmark cabinets from them 6 months ago. I worked with Steve to design the kitchen cabinets and he was very diligent in making sure that he incorporated all of my wishes into the design, without pressure to buy or up-​sell. He made the process easy and fun, and was responsive to my questions after our initial consultation. I did compare three different kitchen cabinet companies before making a decision, and I went with direct depot because they had the same quality cabinets at the most reasonable prices. My cabinets came out beautiful! I did have one issue with one of the doors having a small crack in it. I contacted kitchen depot about it and they replaced the door without question (arrived about two weeks later).
I would not hesitate to recommend Steve and Direct Depot to my friends and family.

Worst experience ever. Purchased a $ 20,000 kitchen and had multiple problems that they would not stand behind. I would give them zero stars if possible.

When I started shopping for my kitchen first I went to Lowes and got a quote but the experience was not pleasant at all. The designer was clearly not happy there and it showed the way I was treated. I have also visited other discount cabinet showrooms but most of them don’t have much to show besides the Chinese cabinets which I don’t recommend. They don’t have too much to offer and show and they don’t seem to be happy when they find out you are shopping around. Finally I was tired looking around and I visited Direct Depot Kitchen and I thought the experience will be same as with the others. I have to say I was wonderfully surprised. The experience was totally different, I was overwhelmed by all they had to offer and I loved being able to just come in and take my time looking around at the displays and sample doors. I never felt rushed I felt very welcomed every time I was browsing the showroom without any commitment on my part. I was impressed by the whole experience and I felt comfortable with the salesmen as he took his time to explain to me all the options. My salesman was Bill H. and it was a joy to be doing my project with him. His salesmanship reflects his great personality and a joy to be doing projects with him.
From the first time I step my foot in the door the receptionists are a joy to see as I come in. I’m not not a quick sell since I have to make sure that the price is smart and the quality is good for whatever I’m getting. Once I found my perfect door and got it home as a sample which Bill happily let me take home and I could also pick tiles and granite at their showroom which helped me a lot .
I want to thank Bill and everybody at Direct Depot for making me feel special and helping me with the whole kitchen remodel project from cabinetry to tiles, granite and installation .
Today it has been a couple weeks since my kitchen was finished and I’m enjoying the befits of all of my time invested into the whole project. I’m grateful that the designer Bill has invested his time into my project and he never let me feel rushed in any way because those small details made my kitchen really perfect.
It’s been fun and that’s what’s most important to me. I have been encouraging everybody who is looking for a kitchen to visit Direct Depot Kitchen as I couldn’t be more happy than I was during the design process and now that the kitchen is finished.

Worst business EVER! Not only did it inspire me to start Unilocaling, I also think I should lobby Unilocal for a 0-​star rating option!
I stopped in to check out their kitchen cabinets and left feeling completely disrespected, talked down to, and annoyed. Their salesman straight up refused to explain his opinion of his own products, was condescending, and absolutely did not act like he wanted my business! I have never been treated so poorly in a retail environment.
After getting home and checking their Unilocal reviews, I’m not surprised to see how many people have had problems of all kinds with this business — It seems like they don’t care about their products or their reputation at all. Thank God I didn’t buy my cabinets there! I really dodged a bullet!

Wow… really surprised, as I used Direct Depot through NJEA about four years ago for all my kitchen cabinets, as well as a custom bathroom vaniety. While the cabinets (Starmark) might have been a little slow coming in, I had NO issues with Direct Depot at all, including good customer service after the fact (repairing a crack in the hood). Sorry for those who didn’t have a good an experience as I did. I was going to recommend them to a co-​worker.

I had bill Hancock as my designer and the kitchen came out great. Cabinets were fine. Customer service was highly responsive. We have a beautiful kitchen for a reasonable price. I could not be more pleased.

Direct Depot Kitchens is a scam. They are all talk and no action. DO NOT PAY THEM UPFRONT once you do there is no recourse and you are stuck. The showroom is where they suck you in and make a ton of empty promises. Alan (designer) is a great guy but there is very little he can impact once it leaves the showroom. I had my kitchen fully designed and installed by them and liked Alan so referred my brother-​in-​law. The run around my brother in law and wife went through (and still going through) to get a clear answer on their cabinet delivery is appalling. Jeff was unresponsive and when they did get him, after MANY phone calls, he has no answers and full of empty promises. The service is terrible and Alan seems to be the only competent person there who cares. I would not recommend them and feel terrible having done so with my family.

My husband and I met with Amy. She was extremely rude and treated us like we were beneath her. We came in with a sketch of our kitchen and all we needed her to do was price out two cabinet brands we liked. After she priced out the first one she acted as if it would be too much trouble to price out the other one so we left. We talked about writing a review but got caught up in the day and completely forgot about it until… she called my husbands cell phone (the number they had for us on file) and told him to tell me that i am a snot nosed &%$* and hung up. She called after the store had closed so we haven’t been able to reach anyone at direct depot yet so i decided to start writing my reviews. NEVER GO THERE!
