Buono’s Prime Meats & Deli

THIS place should show up in the dictionary next to «Italian Deli». Perfect experience all around, from the ladies in line buying their steaks and talking with the butcher about how to best cook them to the wide variety of pastas, sauces, and spices for sale to the rice balls ready-​to-​eat.
I got a Sorrento sandwich with hot peppers – absolutely amazing. First off, I’m tired of the recent trend where all deli meats taste the same. It’s like someone decided turkey bologna is the baseline and God forbid you go more than 5% different in flavor. Not a problem at Buono’s! Capi tastes like Capi, etc. etc. Different thicknesses, too – not a trivial point! Even though most places just run everything through the slicer at the same setting, meats taste different (i.e., better) when sliced the right way. Fresh bread, great seasoning, the whole package.
As if all this wasn’t enough, there was an oversized spot for me to park in, too. Will be back!

Great food!!! We get takeout from them a few times a month for our office and sandwiches are fantastic. Love their specialty subs and staff is great. Office looks forward to every time we order from them.

First time shopping here today. Super friendly family running the place. We got chicken cutlets, ground meat mix and turkey burgers. The ground meat mix is the best I’ve had some any butcher much less grocery in the area. We were looking for a new butcher and found one.

Worst fresh mozzarella. Taste like soap and burnt metal and squeeks while chewing. Ground beef was satisfactory. They had no idea what eggplant caponata with olives was. Worst way to spend my $ 73.00 that I wasn’t even to enjoy my dinner.
A&S pork store in Patterson and west Patterson is best
Tommy taste of Italy in west patterson is my second choice.

I’m so glad I found out they sell Nicolo’s bread from Montclair! I don’t have time to run all the way to Montclair! It’s a nice convenience when I have a carb craving to be able to get the best bread in New Jersey just down the street. I tried their rice balls, pretty good but pricey. I def need to try some of their specialty sandwiches on my next visits!

This butcher shop has a great local feel, the steaks were great, and the prices were reasonable. I’m definitely a fan of this place and I will definitely recommend it to my friends. Glad I heard about it.

I typically go to Buono’s for chicken cutlets because they are really fresh, thin, and barely have any fat. This 4^th of July I had a BBQ with about 25 people and decided to get burgers from Buono’s. They were neatly packaged in perfect quarter pound patties. They cooked beautifully on the grill and everyone was raving about the taste. This deli seems to always do it right and it’s extremely fresh with quality products. Additionally, the amount of patties I ordered were only a couple bucks more than frozen patties, so the prices are fair too. I highly recommend Buono’s for any occasion!

Recent reviewer was right about their chicken cutlets. Best I’ve ever tasted. Get there early because they can run out. That’s how good they are. I also tried their beef (filet mignon) and found it delicious as well.

I can’t actually speak for the cuts of meat here because I’ve never come here for meat (I don’t eat much of it, TBH). I come here because the owner is SUPER friendly and LOVES dogs. We usually buy a couple cow knuckles or a marrow bone. They owner is so great about it and always chats us up about our pup. He recognizes us now when we come in and last time when he had ran it of knuckles because he sold them to a place that uses them for their soup stock, he made sure to tell us when he would get more in again. Such a pleasure to give our business to this small, local butcher shop. If I bought more meat I would definitely buy it here.

Love, love, love! I’ve been getting chicken for cutlets here for years. The people are great, the food and meat are awesome. Fresh and great quality. You always feel like you are leaving with top quality food. Can not beat this place. If you live in the area you must check it out.

Very nice people and spectacular sandwiches. For the most part they’re inexpensive as well.

Thin chicken cutlets

Needed some salami and other cold cuts and discovered this place in Little Falls. Truly amazing deli. Owner is fantastic and accommodating. Will slice and cut prime cuts according to how you want it. A small mom and pops store but large in quality. More people should come and check this place out.
