My brother could relocate to Frisco, so he was off apartment hunting. I was his adviser. Don’t know why since he typically ignores me. This was the first place we visited. It’s a nice gated community and even some of the rooms had private garages. Nicely laid out designs that are not of the typical apartment floor plans.

I would not recommend this place on my worst enemy. There are always gun shots in the middle of the night, robberies and I swear my neighbors are drug dealers. I cannot wait for my lease to be up so I can get out of here. I always have to sleep with one eye open because im living in such a hostile environment. Stay FAR away.

Do yourself a favor and speak with the people that live here BEFORE you sign a lease. Everyone I talked to hates it. You can hear everything your neighbors do. The gates are a joke. Half the amenities are broken like 50% of the time. The management is so extremely rude I just stopped going to the office for anything. I counted the days we could finally leave. Thank the gods we didn’t put a deposit down. It looks nice at first blush, but do not be fooled.

The apartments are beautiful but the management sucks! They will fine/charge you for every little thing they can. On top of the charges I got when living there. I agreed to do there bullshit stress free move out service for $ 150 to clean, paint and clean the carpet. They charged me $ 1,112 to replace the carpet saying they couldn’t get stains out… with there so called professional carpet cleaning company. My advice is to just stay far away from these apartments or they’ll charge you for probably just looking at them. And there’s only a star there because I couldn’t post this without a rating so in reality they get no stars.

My fiancé and I moved into the Mansions by the Lake shortly after the building we wanted was available. The experience from day one was awful. We signed our lease a few months beforehand and were given our move-in day. When we arrived at the complex on the day of, we were told our move-in wasn’t until the next day and they were just going to send us away. When I asked to speak to the manager we quickly realized the manager and sales person we initially signed our lease with apparently no longer were there. In the year we lived there the management and staff changed basically monthly. When we finally were able to get it sorted out the apartment we were moved into wasn’t the apartment we initially signed our lease for. We put up with it though knowing that it wouldn’t change. The apartment itself was pretty nice, but very poorly constructed. Our backdoor wasn’t painted, there were cracks by the windows already, our dishwasher moved all over the place just by a simple touch and the list goes on. We were happy to be living in a «gated community» as it was advertised, however for the first 6 months of our lease the gate didn’t work and was down for maintenance roughly one week a month. Also during our time at the complex we, along with everyone else that lived there, had the biggest issues with people not picking up after their dogs. Management made false threats daily that obviously never got the point across, leaving yards covered in dog feces. Also, like mentioned in another review, one day while walking trash down to the dumpster I had a bag sitting outside our door so I could pick it up when I got back and make another trip, in the five minutes I was gone the staff had gone through my trash and pulled an envelope with my name on it as their«proof». Even when I explained that I was literally gone maybe 5 minutes, I was still fined $ 25. However once I had a neighbor move in across the hall they would have bags of trash sitting outside daily. One night, for the fourth night in a row, the resident under us was hammering on his patio around midnight. We called in a complaint the next day just to be told that no one lived under us? Even though we see them nightly and the patio has furniture along with a grill and a dog constantly chained up. Parking at the apartment building was atrocious, no options for covered parking and often times you had to park a few buildings down. The worst part of it all is the companies move out demands. If you live there now, do not clean your apartment at all. They will charge you for cleaning no matter what. After our year was up I couldn’t be happier to move out of this poorly managed complex. However my experience only got worse, I called roughly a month after our move out date to ask about our deposit check and was told it would be around christmas or just after, which I was fine with. I was also given, an amount of $ 472 and some change. Christmas came and gone, we called the Mansions numerous times and were given the run around everytime. We were promised we would receive a phone call back numerous times and never received a single one. When we finally roped the manager into actually giving us a response we were told it was kicked back to them due to an issue with the way they filed and they never checked. The lady Tara who was in charge of it was very rude to my fiancé even though she was the issue in the first place. Although she did call back and become apologetic admitting it was her mistake after the fact. Then when we finally received our deposit check back it was $ 100 less than I was quoted previously and had no itemized break down of what I was actually charged. My fiancé spoke with the manager the day of receiving the check and was told she had no direct knowledge of it and that Tara would call her personally to figure it out, only to once again never receive a call. Out of curiosity I called again and was told Tara was with a client and she’d be with me momentarily, conveniently a minute later they came back on the line and said she had left for the day? I asked to leave a message with my number and to please have her call me the next day. Well, that was two weeks ago now and I’m still awaiting my call. I cannot stress how poorly managed this building is, they don’t return phone calls and will down right lie to you. They are beyond disorganized. I do not recommend this complex, or company, to anyone. No one I know will ever live here.

We have lived here for a year and elected to renew our lease. Pros: Very nice amenities for use by residents Apartments are very modern and nicely appointed Pets are allowed Mc Cord Park is readily available Easily accessible to shopping, freeways, etc. Maintenance taken care of quickly Cons: If you lease a lower unit, you WILL hear your upstairs neighbor… walking across the floor, pulling chairs out, when they flush you’ll hear water through the pipes No Rec room or media center that can be rented out for use with a large gathering AND they do not allow large gathering of friends at pool or barbeque area. No Fireplaces Do not wash windows seasonally.

Love living here! I have now been a happy resident at the Mansions for a year and just renewed. The amenities here are very nice including a beautiful pool with splash park, gas grills and great fitness center. The few maintenance issues I’ve had were addressed quickly and courteously. The staff has always been wonderful to me and my family. They do resident activities monthly and curb side trash pick up three times a week. Yes, there are kids on skate boards(that are actually very polite boys and girls) and people that need reminders to clean up after their pet but that is in any community(home or apartment). Over all I love it here we have made friends with neighbors and brought friends to be neighbors. This is a great community!

The places are nice and new and offer a 2 car garage. The craftsmanship is a little shady, our sliding door is crooked. We have lights on our kitchen that have all gone out at least once(we have been here a 2 months). They told us they are cheap and we can replace ourselves if we choose to(what?). Our garage door opener was able to be opened by another resident. Instead of coming out to fix it or replace it they sent a note for my husband to do it. When it didn’t work(we left for the weekend and came home to our garage door wide open) they finally came out. The tech told me we weren’t the only ones having issues with these either(what?). The landscaping is a joke. Every week they are flooding the complex with water. Great when people are moving in. The grass is so full if potholes that you take the safety of your ankles into your own hands walking on it. The grass is also FULL of weeds. Our master bathrooms caulking is peeling, and they were not cleaned when we moved in. I actually had to vacuum inside the tubs when we moved in. Then there are the over zealous«sales people» and community staff. I placed a bag of trash outside our slider for my husband(standing outside 10 feet away) to take to the trash. Within 10 minutes he had done so, we received a violation notice about leaving trash out… Really? Our next encounter was when we left out BBQ cover off the BBQ and laying on our patio cover. We were told it looked messy and unkept. But, the refrigerator that someone has in their patio is ok? The kids are rude, skateboarding without a second thought to cars or anyone else. People don’t take after their pets. We have a large dog and our stuff is always picked up but here are little things left for my dog to either eat or step on. It’s gross. I hate walking into the office. It’s like wailing into valley girl central. They all just look at you like a deer in headlights, hoping to not have a question they have to answer. Often rude and condescending. We rented here for 6months since we just moved to Texas from California. I can’t wait to get out of here!
