Enjoyed the video on growing and processing cacao and making chocolate. Nice items in the store. Wilbur buds are the best. Enjoyed the coffee/cocoa combo bag I brought home to make in the coffee pot. Decaf and regular are available. also enjoyed the cocoa powder I brought home to make my own hot chocolate.

I recently checked out the Wilbur shop. I heard the actual factory part would be closing so I never did get to see it in action. My review is just for the candy shop… THEGOOD… –lots of candy varieties to choose and of course plenty of chocolate –some free samples –smells good inside like chocolate of course –some cool artifacts in glass cases THEBAD… –prices were too high –read ingredients list for several different chocolate types and everyone was made with hydronated oils… one even some were made with high fructose corn syrup and artificial colors… ingredients didn’t scream quality chocolates and candies to me –line was too long and moved awfully slow Overall, I’m glad I checked this spot out, but doubtful I’d go back in after only one visit. I guess people are under the impression they make the candy ad they did during their hey day… I think not. Might as well be a corporation who sacrifices quality over science lab created ingredients.

I mean, who doesn’t love Wilbur Chocolate? I’m bummed to hear they’re moving production elsewhere, gone are the day of Broad Street smelling of chocolate at certain times of day. But the chocolate is so delicious, if you’re in the area it’s a must-see(and must-taste).

When a family focused on one thing and one thing only for generations, it’s worth the respect. The store is not just a chocolate and candy store, it instead has a lot of chocolate related antiques collection. I highly recommend people to bring their little kids there to see how chocolate are made in the old days.

Hershey’s doesn’t hold a candle! Delicious! Plenty of samples to load up on. Buy the bagged stuff, it’s well worth it. They have a nice parking lot; don’t park on the street. Staff is hard core. Nice park next door where you can feed the ducks. I definitely recommend visiting this place if you are in the area.

The place had a uniqueness about it that allows it to stand out from other candy shoppes. It was very crowded, which isn’t a bad thing but it detracted from the overall experience. The candy that we purchased was very tasty, but nothing overtly fantastic. It is a shame that the factory will be shutting down; there are a lot of jobs lost because of this.

OMG! I am such a fan of Wilbur’s! This chocolate factory has been around since 1884 and has been supplying products for confectioneries, bakeries, and dairy industries for over 125 years. When you walk in, you will be overwhelmed with the variety of chocolates, hand-dipped chocolates, candies, and gift options the place has to offer. I absolutely loooooooove their Buds — these bite-sized chocolates resemble a flower bud and come in dark or milk chocolate. The milk chocolate ones are heavenly, as they are a perfect balance of the cocoa and the cream — creamy, decadent, and just melts in your mouth — YUM! If you walk towards the back, you can check out their little ‘museum’(just a display case with no admission fee; all part of the factory), of their candy-making machines and memorabilia. Further back, you can check out the employees creating and dipping chocolates! Some may go to PA for a specific chocolate company; however, I highly recommend in stopping by Wilbur’s — you won’t be disappointed! :D +Milk Chocolate Buds: D +offers some samples +contains a museum of artifacts +free parking across the street in a small lot

Do not expect a tour of the factory. But you will see some pictures about the history and see some of the older equipment they used to make chocolate in the olden days. You will love the smell of chocolate when you first walk in. You will see some things like pretzels being hand dipped. Priced what you would expect for good candy. More expensive than Hersheys, but better quality. Be sure to try their buds. These are what they are probably best known for.

Not much in terms of an interactive museum/factory. Basically self-guided browsing of chocolate-making tools/machines. In the back there’s a kitchen where you can see them making some chocolate-dipped goodies. It’s not the main production factory. The bulk of the shop is dedicated to sell in their delicious chocolates! We selected the buds which my kids love and some dark chocolates with marshmallow & mint. We received coupons for a purchase good around the holidays which we can use online since we don’t live in the area!

Love this place! This is at the top of our«must see» list whenever we come to Lititz. We love the milk and dark chocolate buds(and everything else, really). Everyone is very friendly and they offer a military discount as well!

I have been going here since I was a wee little kid. It’s a small store, but the memories it holds are enormous. It offers a variety of chocolate and gifts and even a sample to two. This is a definite tourist stop if you’re in the area, and if you’re fairly local, it’s well worth many return trips.

We had an awesome visit to Wilbur. You can learn about the history and cultivation of chocolate, check out the tools of the trade, and even see the ladies in the back still making treats by hand. Our favorite part was that there are plenty of free samples of the dark and milk«buds». Definitely stop in during your visit of Lititz. The chocolate is awesome and affordable.

Good chocolate, good selection, great staff. The buds are like kisses, only better tasting. They have a wide variety of assortments. Overall a good experience and a good product. Nearby parking was quick and easy on the Sunday we went. One minor caveat: the place is a factory and looks like one. I’d like to see them hire an architect to improve the appearance.

This original store is fabulous for both young and old. Not to mention the free sample of Wilbur Buds, I may indulge in more than one from time to time. Wilbur is the only chocolate I bake with, everyone always asks the secret to my truffles, it’s Wilbur! The bulk chocolate is a great price for baking, and my family are huge fans of the assorted chocolates.

Somebody said«waxy chocolate?» Who are they kidding? I guess if you consider Godiva chocolates«waxy» then ok. Because Godiva buys every ounce of chocolate they use from this little Litiz factory.

This place is small but has just about every kind of chocolate imaginable. It’s surly not that other company, but it has a lot to offer. We did come out with a few morsels.

Stumbled upon here after going to the pretzel store. They have a huge variety of chocolate. They have a walk through museum that showcases the history of their chocolate and how it’s made, in the pack you’ll see some of the chefs making fudge. The whole store is filled with all the chocolate you can imagine, covered nuts, chocolate trains, fruits, cookies, truffles and so much more! They also offer free samples. The chocolate is pretty dense compared to other brands I’ve had. It’s very rich. Worth checking out.

So, Mr. Wilbur was doing his thing before Milton Hershey was doing his? Interesting. But aside from that tidbit I don’t know how much of a lure the museum part would be except for die-hards cocoa-lovers.(At least it was free, which is always a bonus.) But their products? Damn delicious.(Of course my kids are weird and we let them pick out whatever they want and instead of something chocolate they opt for some hard candy junk sold by the registers.) The chocolate-covered pretzels and the cocoa-coffee beans were my two faves from a recent visit.

The museum is free. YAY!!! I expected the museum to be like an actual museum. It is not. You walk through the candy shop and see some old molds and memorabilia from candy days passed. The old building is kind of neat. Watching people make chocolates is kind of neat as well. I guess I was less than excited about the video about cocoa beans and the old chocolate molds than some would be. Parking is across the street. It is not the greatest and can be a little difficult to get to. For some reason, people around here really like to just hang out in their cars while sitting in parking lots. I imagine they are new to cars — possibly reformed Amish — and are enthralled by the purring of the engine while they sit.

As far as chocolate factories go, this one is far safer than Willy Wonka’s, but a good bit noisier. You can watch people making chocolate here(apparently Barack Hussein Obama visited and watched them make chocolate one time), and it’s pretty cool to watch a few workers hand make some chocolates. Some people say the prices are kinda pricey, but you know what? Compared to their local competitor, some company called Hershey, these people put more dedication into their craft. It’s a small operation and the workers are very hands on, unlike the bit automated factory over at Hershey.
