Childrens Dentistry At Stonecrest

Don’t get fooled by the bright colors and TV screens. This place has made my child hate the dentist. My child has tooth problem. I came to the to fix it and that made it a traumatic experience your child is nothing more than another number ($$$)

First time here with my daughter today, so I arrived early to fill out the paperwork. There were cartoons in the waiting room, which helped my daughter get acclimated, HOWEVER, some of the parents in the waiting room need to realize they are around CHILDREN. At least two parents were sitting in the waiting room on their phones fussing and cussing with a room full of children. It would have been nice if the staff asked them to step outside with their conversations (which is why I only gave 4 stars).
Once we got to the back (about 15min after appointment time), it was awesome! The staff/​techs were sweet and attentive. My daughter got comfortable quickly. Before the cleaning started they let my daughter touch some tools to see that they didn’t hurt. They told her, on a 3 year old’s level, what they were going to do before they did it and I really appreciated that, because I think I was more nervous than my daughter.
The cleaning was done in a timely manner and I only had to wait on the Doctor (after the cleaning) for about 15−20min.
To top it off, they have TV’s on the ceilings above the chairs to keep the children occupied.
Overall, it was a great experience (aside from the mothers without home-​training in the lobby) and I will return in the future.

I brought my 3 children to this dentist. We loved it and will be coming back. They went over proper brushing and flossing to help me and them help prevent cavities. They introduced themselves to us and spoke to us trying to get to know us better. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They took the time to help my kids feel comfortable and calm during their cleaning. Which really isn’t easy with a 2 yr old. There also was a little girl in the office who was having a birthday and I saw the staff gather together to sing happy birthday to her. Which made my kids tell me they wanted to come on their birthday too.

STAY AWAY!!! Arrived 45 minutes before scheduled appointment and still did not get called until 1hr after appointment time. On next visit 6 months later I figured it makes no sense to arrive on time so I arrived 15 minutes after scheduled appointment and was turned away. Were they waiting with an empty chair at my appointment time? I dont think so. I guess it was the end of the day and the lazy ass at the desk just wanted to go home early. I really liked the dentist but this one staff member has caused me to find another dentist.
