This incident happened some time ago but it still keeps us from purchasing anything from Best Buy ever again. We purchased a battery for our cell phone. It was around $ 30.This was before we discovered you could buy things off the internet for a fraction of the cost that stores sell them for. We always save receipts when we buy things but somehow this one got lost right away. We looked high and low for it but never found it. About a month later the battery wouldn’t hold a charge. We took it back to Best Buy and asked them to exchange it for a good one. It had a lifetime warranty on it and said so on the package that we still had. They flat refused to do anything since we didn’t have the receipt. We didn’t ask for our money back, only a good battery to replace the defective one. We talked to the manager and all he could do is laugh about the situation. For some reason he thought all this was funny. We went home and wrote a letter to Best Buy Corp. about this. We never received a reply of any kind. A battery that would have cost them nothing to replace cost them a customer, plus all the other people we tell about this.

I purchased a dishwasher at the Lithonia GA store on 11÷1÷2015. The installation and delivery was scheduled for 11÷4÷2015, the delivery took place but they did not install. I called the customer service line and was told that the installation was left off the invoice, an apology was made and they scheduled the installation for 11-13-2015, at which time I took off work to ensure someone would be there. On the evening of 11-13-2015 I called customer service and was told that they had the wrong telephone number(they had called me previously) and the installer went by the house but didn’t knock on the door. I have contacted customer service 15 times since 11/13/2015 and no one seems to be able to provide any timeframe to rectify this issue. I have waited on hold for more than 10 hours be passed around from person to person to no avail. Today after waiting on hold for a hour I decided to call the store and get some clarity and was flabbergasted when they customer service rep stated that she doesn’t see anything on my order. I asked to speak to a manager and was left on hold for more than a hour. A women comes on the phone for a second ask what’s my number and leaves again. I then got upset and demanded a manager when the lady on the phone says again she doesn’t see anything. I began to demand a manager when I was deliberately hung up on. At this point I have purchased a product that is sitting in a box and can’t be used. I followed all instructions purchasing an installation kit and an upgraded model. I am totally frustrated and there is no end in sight as Best Buy already has my money and it’s off to the next customer. I am shocked at this type of behavior as with social media platforms which allow consumers to share information at the touch of finger. Best Buy has been the worst buy for me I just need what I paid for.

I love Best Buy as a whole. Normally I get great service and I dig the extended protection plans they offer on some equipment, it’s come in handy twice when I have had something break. This location is way way way out of the norm for Best Buy. It starts with badly stocked shelves, they either miss product entirely or it’s shuffled all over the place. Customer service… yeah right, you stand a better chance at watching hell freeze over before they get around to actually being helpful. It’s really horrible to witness, even worse if you are the one that needs help. I would rather drive to a location 25 miles from my home than I would stop into this location again.
