I was a new patient there and saw Dr. Klauschie. I came with test results from my pcp which indicated I have a uti. She told me, without looking at my test results, that my urine that day was clear. I said that I had been less than a week ago and had a culture that showed uti. She told me well, you don’t have one. I also told her I have chronic issues and she acted as if that was no big deal. Her attitude was horrible. She mentioned having a ct scan, yet when I checked out nothing was said about making an appointment at a facility for a ct. I will be canceling my next appointment and finding another doctor.

Went to this urologist office as a result of a hospital referral. Dealing with the office staff at this office was very, very frustrating. They use a phone bank system with phone reps, and after leaving a message with them, you wait and wait for return calls. The phone reps also give incorrect information, messages aren’t passed on to the proper dept, etc. I’ve never experienced anything this bad with any other doctor’s office. It made an already stressful medical situation much more stressful. It’s actually made me realize how important it is to go to a medical office that has good communication in place. From start to finish, it took a month to resolve the medical issue, which is typical for this type of issue, but that meant regular communication with the office and regular appointments. If it was a «come in once and you are done» type of issue, I may not have even noticed the poor communication. It’s a shame because the doctor is 5 stars. The procedure itself went very smoothly with no complications.

It is true that everytime you call it takes anywhere from 5 — 10 minutes to get a question answered but this is majorly outweighed by the success of my procedure. «Nervous» was an understatement, but Dr. Kaplan assured me it was a routine procedure he does often and the entire process was about 10 minutes. It actually ended up being about 3 minutes per«side» and no complications after. Very smooth procedure that was worth the«average» customer service.

A prescription was called in to my pharmacy for me. The doctor on the script was not one that i had ever seen… and no one bothered to call me with my test results which might be why the medicine was prescribed? I dont know. No one has ever called me with results. I dont know what i am being treated for and cannot get through extremely long on hold to ask who the doctor is that prescribed medicine for me and for what condition i am being treated for.

If you value your time and money = my advice is to go elsewhere! I had 2 appointments one in the morning and another one in the afternoon. Both days it was a 45 – 60 minute wait past the appointment time… And that was just to be taken back to the room to wait even longer for the Dr. When the Dr. did see me both times he was clearly rushed. He did not take reasonable amount of time and was busy typing on his laptop computer… I had already seen another Urologist just prior to moving to AZ and we already knew what the problem was. Yet the Dr. insisted on re-doing all of the same tests ALREADYPERFORMED. Great way to run up the bill‘~~!! I canceled my 3rd appointment and went to Mayo — It was worth the extra drive! Mayo had me checked-in, and back in the room 2 minutes after my scheduled time. I talked with the Dr. had a test with a nurse, blood work in the lab and out the door IN1HOURFLAT :-)

Not even a patient. Yet. That’s the problem. How can one who isn’t a patient review an office so poorly. By getting the runaround. Called to get an overview price for a procedure. No can do. Must have a consult first. How much is that? Good question. Can’t get an accurate price on that either. Around $ 250 «or so». So how much is the average, typical procedure(a common one so you know)? «Well, a very rough range is $ 500, total.» she says. Me: Oh, well at least I have a rough ballpark number. Her: «But that doesn’t include anesthesia.» Wait, these don’t usually need anesthesia? «Well that’s something you’ll discuss in the consult» she says. «But I don’t want to pay for the consult just to learn how much the procedure is going to cost.» «I’m sorry, that’s how we do it,» she says. «So how much is the anesthesia generally cost?» «I don’t know. A different company handles that.» When I called my insurance company to ask how much my my policy will cover, guess what they reply. «You’ll have to talk to your doctor.» Facepalm.
