Can’t go wrong with low cost, authentic tacos! Plus the horchata is great and free chips and salsa if you dine in! Try the steak tacos!

As others have said, it’s a complete hole in the wall kind of place in a strip mall. You don’t go here to impress a girl on your first date. You go here for some awesome cheap Mexican food. Burritos and Tacos are their specialty, though they do have other food too. Their salsas are more spicy than your average Mexican joint, but a good spicy. There’s often a line, even when you come at «off» hours.

Inexpensive hole in the wall Mexican food. For the price you get a lot of food depending on what you get; if you dine in you get chips and salsa.

Grew up in West Texas in a border town, and this restaurant has been a genuine Mexican food oasis for me. The chile relleno burritos in particular are a favorite as well as the tacos, which are varied and delicious. I should also mention that their tamales are spectacular and I haven’t found anything quite up to their standard since leaving Texas. Go.

This place has great authentic tacos(soft shelled, cilantro and onions, green sauce… Y U M) and free chips & salsa. The portions are very filling — I got full from 3 grilled steak tacos and the burritos here are MASSIVE! The green sauce is a bit spicier than what I’m normally used to though. Came here with a group of 8 not knowing it’s a small place with limited seating but we all sat on the long bar table that fit us all perfectly. This will be my go-to Mexican food place when I’m in the area

Incredible Mexican food for cheap! The steak burrito was excellent. Our order took about 3 minutes from order to table. I would highly recommend this place for a quick lunch or dinner.

Been trying more things here. The chicken burrito with onions and cilantro is my new go to order. The taco salad is huge. The nacho special is great. Fuck. Now I want it.

This is an okay Mexican place. I’d say borderline 4. The only thing is that their hot sauce and salsa could be better. The sauce is key: I like spicy and I put it on everything! If you go during lunch, it is pretty popular. Expect a line. Food is inexpensive, solid, and fast, which is a serious combination for luring a lunch crowd. I wouldn’t bring a group here: the inside space is pretty small. But that’s okay! Its a get in, get a great burrito, get out kinda place. I like that. Folks in Lisle really love this place and it is especially popular for late-night goers. El Burrito Mexicano seems like a staple for the neighborhood.

I honestly cant check in every time I go here since everyone would think i was either a employee since I checked in so many times or 900 lbs. I love it here. Great food, super reasonable prices and hot salsa. My husband played football at Benedictine down the street and we dated for about 6 months before he took me here and i love him so much for it. If you dine in you do get free chips and that amazing salsa. They are open super late everyday for a late night fix. But get the steak burrito suza with avocado. Then thank me since its so good!

I go here a lot with my boyfriend after midnight and they give you A LOT of food. their burritos are MASSIVE and it’s pretty cheap! The only problem I have is that sometimes I get food and they give it to me to go without asking me if I’m eating in the restaurant or not… which is weird… but besides that everything is great!

Our absolutely favorite burrito restaurant to visit as a family. Spectacular food and excellent service. We’ve been eating here for over 7 years and we still have yet to have a bad experience and we visit probably 2−3X per month. Free chips and salsa when dining in and the guacamole is the bomb! We love the steak burritos, quesadillas and steak tacos! Highly recommend!!!

I recently moved back to the area and the first thing I did was go to my favorite place. I used to hang out here after high school. Back in the day I used to get a steak burrito with everything(refried beans, lettuce, tomato, cheese, sour cream and the best guacamole ever made!). I was about to place my usual order when the waitress passed by me with sizzling fajitas. They looked soooo good I couldn’t resist. So I ordered steak fajitas with flour tortillas, a side of guacamole and sour cream and a burrito just in case. Lol. I explained to the cashier I had been MIA from my favorite place for 8 years and that’s why I had ordered so much food. She laughed and welcomed me back. They still had the same system. You order at the register and they give you a ticket so the waitress knows what your order is and takes it to the table for you. The place had gone through some remodeling I see. It’s nice. Very clean. Shortly after I sat down chips, salsa and horchata were taken to me. Yay! The chips are still free! I didn’t want to eat too many but they were still good and oh my they have a new salsa… Spicy spicy spicy. It’s the dark red one in the bottle. I was so excited I love spicy food! Now let’s talk about those fajitas. I didn’t know what I should try first my burrito or this new item. I went for the fajitas. Wow were they good!!! They were so juicy! I loved the sauce they are served with. It wasn’t spicy but very flavorful. Oh and it also came with beans and rice that were delicious as well. I had so much food in front of me that I felt like I was going to go into a happy food coma. I was just able to taste my burrito which was just as delicious as back in the day. Needless to say. I had 3 take home boxes with me when I left.

Quick service, authentic Mexican and an awesome experience. The food smelled great and the staff doesn’t mess around. They have this down to a science. Have an idea for your order quick, and I definitely recommend the garden style salsa.

I believe I had been to this place like way back in the day. Probably before Unilocal even existed. Well, I happen to be in the area visiting a tennis shop and re-discovered this place through Unilocal.Brought back a few memories. This was one of those burrito places that has been around from the time before burrito places was trendy. Way before the Chipotle wave, etc. Well, the burritos were great. I think the key was the flavor of the beans. That was my favorite part. The rest of it all was good as well. I think the only thing I would raise as a question was the lady taking the order — she was not very pleasant. The interior could also use a bit of a refresh. If it’s food you care about though, you’d love the burritos here. Yum!

Another solid solid hole in the wall Mexican place. Was visiting Chicago /suburb area and it was later, I think around 830, 9pmish we went here and it was empty. However the food came out quick and still high quality. Owner was nice, he came out and continuously made sure our orders were right(he messed up on something but quickly fixed that problem). Got to try the shrimp tacos and other things as well, everything I had was awesome! Food is cheaper too so definitely come try this place out if you are in the area

This place was ok — I’d say average at best. It’s a total hole in the wall — blink and you’ll miss it. But we were craving mexican food before we went to the Eyes to the Skies and this was one of the only mexican restaurants open on July 4. I had the chicken fajitas which came with rice and beans. BF had a torta de carne asada. Everything was good. Would I go out of my way to eat here? No. Not because it’s horrible, but because we can get better closer to home. Staff as very nice and friendly. This place is for locals who are craving a taco or burrito.

9 check-ins in the past month. ‘Nuf said? The food here is always good and hot. it is prepared right in front of you. It is not a very big space which gives the customer the ability to watch everything being cooked. You can hear the sizzle and enjoy the aroma of freshly-prepared Mexican-style food. They give you chips too! No extra charge. they are without a doubt
