Ordered the Turtle (espresso with caramel and chocolate) through the drive up. Really great tasting espresso — slight buttery flavour, not burnt at all — and it wasn’t overpowered by the sweetness of the syrups. A little pricey but, for a small town local business, it can be expected and for the great taste it’s worth it as a treat.

The Dark Roast known as Black Forest is powerful just to let it be known. There is an option of a bottom less cup which they charge a little more and you can refill all you want. Taking advantage of the extra expense I had my cup refilled and I think a day later I’m still running, but getting a lot done.
There is a limited menu and a select choice of pastries and roasted coffee bagged and ready to go. They roast their own so indeed it is fresh. I enjoyed a generous slice of Apple Pie which had a more crispy crust than others I’ve sampled. There are three rooms and an outdoor patio to sit and sip and talk the afternoon away. The back room is well windowed providing a great view of the lake on one side and a view of someone’s back yard and driveway on the other, so I’m sure you’ll want to opt for the lake view.

Great coffee, great food, great staff, great atmosphere! My only complaint is that their wi-​fi never works. It works for some people, and not for others. I’d come here more often if I could connect and work for an hour sipping on joe.

Super cute cabin feel coffee shop! They have a good sized patio deck on the back with a nice view of a lake! The chai latte is excellent! They have a selection of fresh baked goodies and organic coffee to take home! Plus they’re right across from Northwest Camera Repair so I have something to do while waiting for my camera!

Great little coffee shop, I stop in on my way to work. Try the bagel breakfast sandwich it’s very yummy, and they have awesome coffee too! Nice décor very cozy, or use the drive-​thru service. Friendly baristas to top it off!

I’ve been going to Northwoods Roastery since it opened a few years ago and it’s only gotten better since day one. The staff are friendly and accommodating. I didn’t used to like coffee (so I can vouch for their non-​caffeinated drinks, lovely), but now that I do, the coffee, which is roasted on site, is phenomenal. With the new location and building, John has really outdone himself with a true «Minnesota Nice» experience. It’s an excellent place for coffee dates, studying, work, bible studies or other group meetings, or just kicking back and enjoying the view of the lake through the seating area window. Go and enjoy your favorite drink in this small town coffee shop. Sitting in, driving through, or grabbing it to go, you won’t be disappointed.

Best coffee shop in the Chisago Lakes area. You won’t find better coffee, prices or friendlier smiles in town. I’ve been a semi-​regular. Grew up in Lindstrom but live in Duluth. Always make sure to stop by when I’m visiting the folks! Good place to relax or to get work done. They have a great selection of brewed coffee and other drinks. Their new location is spacious and comfortable, more seating and keeps the northwoods vibe. They’ve always been accommodating for groups of people gathering for Bible studies and other meetings. As of the time this review is being written, the patio is still being constructed in the back. It looks like it’ll be just a little under the same size as the main seating area.

This was my first time out in Lindstrom a few months back and I must say, this place made us feel welcomed. Not only was the coffee great, but the atmosphere was much better than your standard Starbucks. The owner John even took time to chat with us on our business ventures. A very great place to just lounge and relax… we’ll definitely be back!

From way out of town (San Diego) and were welcomed by John (owner/​roaster) and Jan (barista)…great spot with incredible coffee and a warm cozy welcoming atmosphere. Conversed with the locals and had an unexpected but delightful visit… more than just coffee! We will be swinging back here next time we are passing through.

Great place, best managed coffee house in the area, and fantastic fresh roasted beans to go; try the new Beth’s Blend named after the manager if the River Blend is sold out. Beth’s Blend is one of the only coffees I enjoy drinking black; it is awesome!

This is a delightful and completely unpretentious coffee house, yet they’ve got all the bells and whistles that you wouldn’t expect in a small town like Lindstrom including:
* organic ingredients
* fresh roasted coffee and espresso
* soy milk
* hemp milk (I haven’t seen that anywhere else!)
* cozy atmosphere
I was pleased to see many customers drinking out of real mugs, instead of wasting paper cups like they do at so many other coffee places.
Most importantly, my soy latte was delicious and totally hit the spot.
I also bought some dark, strong, organic coffee to take back to my in-​laws’ home to replace the Folgers swill which I just couldn’t swallow.
