This is the place to go! In Chicago there were a lot of variations of Gyros, but, I have to say this is one of the best Gyros I have ever had. The size of the Gyros are pretty big and it comes with fresh French fries. If you don’t like Gyros they also have Greek fries and chicken kabobs. The place is a little hidden in the plaza, it is right next to the shoe repair store. The wait time is very low for your food, I think the most I have waited was 5 minutes. The inside of the restaurant is always clean and the staff is always polite. This is my go to restaurant for some Greek food.

This are the best Gyros in Lake County. At $ 5.55 a piece. You’ll love them. Good price, good size. He also has an extensive menu.

After walking out of the Mexican restaurant a couple of doors down because of horrible service we walked in to Nino’s. They had a lot of orders ahead of us and the nice lady behind the counter was very apologetic(without need) that my wife’s chicken kabobs would take fifteen minutes. No biggie. Like I said, they were really bogged down with orders. My gyros and my wife’s kabobs and then the fries all came out within a minute of each other about five minutes after we sat down. My wife said the chicken was fresh and moist. Maybe could have used a little more seasoning but very good. The rice was tasty and she skipped the pita but she liked the tzatziki that came with it. The gyros was pretty standard. The tzatziki was plentiful. I ordered extra tzatziki(modest charge) but in the future I won’t. The pita was warm and soft as it should be. The fries were the frozen crinkle cut variety and were fried up nice and crispy on the outside and soft inside just the way I like them. It was a good experience and I’m sure we will go back if we’re passing through.

Great little local place. Got lunch for our whole crew… service was great, quick and food was better than 99% of the city beef/gyro places. I would stop here anytime I am in the area.

I followed the good Unilocal ratings to this place and they were correct. I had a nice serving of Greek Fries with the typical oil & vinegar Greek dressing and feta cheese. The Greek Fries with their combination of flavors on the palate were very nice and the portion easily serves two. The Chicken Kabob was freshly prepared from unfrozen chicken and charcoal grilled to perfection. It was served in a bed of greens(I asked for no tomato or onion) with tzatziki sauce on the side. I had some extra feta and Greek dressing that I put on top of the sandwich and it gave the chicken a fantastic flavor. Great meal! I’ll be back.

So happy I found this place! I love Greek salad w/chicken or gyros meat and they have it. Their salads are very generous and tasty. They also come with a pita which is how the other Greek salads I’ve gotten have traditionally come when ordered. I’ve tried other places in the area, but this is hands down the best Greek place I’ve found. Always great service and friendly people. You should check it out for sure.

Been here several times, gyros are great, service is quick, owners are nice and easy to talk to, what more could one ask for! Dine in or dine out, I always take out as the sitting area can be cramped when they are busy.

Good gyros. One of the few places around that can make a decent one. Quick service, and good portions. Few places to sit down inside, otherwise is best for takeout.

Delicious gyros. Just a quick pick up on the way home. Or a good place to go for some fast food.

Great service, great gyros, my fav is the gyro salad they give you enough meat and a pita to make a gyro out of which I always give to my husband. So close to home perfect for a night off of cooking.

Some of the best Greek food I’ve ever had. Excellent homemade hummus and an even better Greek style salad. Don’t get me started on those gyros either! I was told by the owner there’s only one other location and it’s in Chicago. Great to have them here in Lindenhurst.

Small hole in the wall locally owned by a Greek family! They’re always friendly, fast and the food is delicious. There’s a different restaurant that offers gyros practically next door to my office but I will drive 20 min on my lunch break for Ninos when I get a Greek food hankering!

All of the food is excellent. Gyros and Italian Beef with Cheese are the best. The restaurant is small so seating is limited. Keep that in mind if you have a large group. Service is fast for both eat in and take out. It is a family run business. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Best of all they remember their repeat customers and their preferences. That makes future visits to Ninos feel like going to a favorite relative’s place for a meal.

Ok, been here a couple of times now. I LOVEIT! I do not know what took me so long to finally try them out! It’s small, in a strip mall, and a bit drafty in the winter time, but the staff(well family) is always happy to see you, the food is fast, BIG, and delicious. Prices are reasonable, and Family Video is just down the way, so you can pick up some movies while you wait for your dinner to be ready. Seating is limited, probably great for a quick lunch, but not great for a sit down family dinner. The Italian beef and cheese is better than any I ever had living in the city.(I think it’s shaved beef, and that might be why. I don’t care why, it’s awesome) Super tender and juicy. The bread is not as sturdy as I have had at other places, so I do not recommend getting your beef dipped unless you want to use a knife and fork to eat it. But I never was a dipper, so I am happy with it just the way it is. The gyro could easily feed two. I need a fork to eat some of it off the pita before I can fold it to eat as a sandwich. They give you more than enough tzatziki sauce to smother it. And the pita is soooooo soft. The falafel was ok. I was a little disappointed because it was obviously not home-made, but I will say they compensate by overloading the sandwich with them(See a theme here?) So I have decided to make this a regular spot of mine. Probably weekly. You should too.

Great place! I have tried a number of different things on the menu and everything has been tasty. On the small side and food is made to order, so sometimes things get a little cramped on the weekends between people waiting and people trying to eat. Definitely will return, so glad it’s in the neighborhood!

Finally! Some meat in my Gyro! I live in Va where they have no idea what a gyro even is, 3 thin used to be frozen slices of beef in a pita with sour cream! So while on a trip to my home IL this food item was on my list of «homefoods» I just had to have while I was there! Some friends and I met for dinner before I had to leave, we were looking for easy, tasty and cost effective. The man at the counter was very accommodating since the place is just a few tables, mostly take out and we had 8 people or so. He had no problem with us pushing his tables together. I ordered the Gyro and a side Greek salad. It was everything I dreamed it too be, thick cuts of meat and more than 3 skinny pieces. The Tzatziki sauce was great although I should have asked for it on the side, it was alot! It could be alittle thicker if I wanted to get picky. I would definitely come back here on my next visit home!

This is more of a take out place considering there are only around 5 tables and a small counter to sit at. The service is quick and the guy(I assume to be the owner) is very friendly. I’ve come here twice now and both times were for the Gyro. The portions on the gyro are good, the sauce, onions, tomatoes and bread are also nice and fresh. When it comes to the meat, you can watch him carve it right off and onto the flat bread. Overall, this is one of the better gyro’s in the area and considering it’s relatively close to home, it’s becoming my go to place for a quick gyro. But, in by book Anastasia’s still has the best gyro in this area.
