We ordered takeout last night and will NEVER get anything from here again! I wish I had taken pictures of the old and bone laden sashimi we were received because it was NOTHING like the pictures on here. The super white tuna had a green sheen to it. The tamago was not cut the same way every other place does, the scallops looked like they had been in the garbage. The salmon had BONES in it!!! In all of the years I’ve been eating sushi, I have NEVER had bones in my salmon or any other fish! There was some weird black thing in my wasabi. Sayonara Kabuki! Congratulations, you just lost two customers!

Not impressed… tried this place based on the Unilocal reviews and I was disappointed with the food… I had spicy crab rolls which were lukewarm and had syringy crab sticking out of the roll itself… I wont be eating here again.

Have been here a couple time now, usually get take out, this time we stayed totally worth it. They do a nice job and their table appetizer was delicious. We ordered several rolls mostly tuna ones. Each roll was excellent. Their gyoza was good, so was the shumai, I don’t like miso soup but my wife said it was good. If you are in Lindy and are looking for a sushi place this is worth checking out.

Love it here. When we moved out of the area, we still came back. Just hate how you feel rushed when you eat there. Other than that, perfect food!

4.8÷5… Love this neighborhood spot. Been here a handful of times– sushi is always fresh and delicious. I think it’s better than kotobuki in babylon. Sometimes the servers can seem to rush you but overall, great spot in Lindy.

Love this place. The sushi is always great. I never have any complaints. I don’t believe I’ve ever dined here, only take-out. Nevertheless, definitely a great local sushi place! The spicy tuna is wonderful.

Kabuki is my favorite go to sushi spot! I was recently in and ordered uni and other special rolls. Excellent sushi! Their uni is very fresh! The restaurant is very clean. Sushi bar chefs were wearing sanitary masks. I felt comfortable and safe about my sushi. I recommend this place to people who really care about the quality of sushi and the cleanliness and hygiene in the restaurant!

I love that this place is right in town. It’s only 3 minutes away from my house. Other than that, when you’re inside it’s a very relaxing atmosphere and the sushi they have to offer is delicious. I recommend this place to anyone living in Suffolk, or even in Nassau, to come and eat at this place.

Very yummy sushi. Tastes similar to other sushi joints in the area. I ordered on a snowy day for delivery and the timing was still way faster than I thought it would be considering the weather. Would definitely recommend and try again.

Kabuki is one of the only places that I will go for sushi. I have had sushi many other places and it was never as fresh as Kabukis. I come here about once a week for the lunch special which runs between opening time until about 3PM. You can get either a two or three rolls special for the sushi. The lunch special comes with either miso soup or clear soup and ginger salad. Both are soooo delicious. The staff is always there and ready to refill your cup and get you anything else that you need. I highly recommend the spicy crab roll with extra spicy mayo on the side, the sweet peanut avocado roll, the Spiderman role, the sautéed scallops and Edamame. I have been coming here from the start and will continue here as long as they are open. Highly recommend.

I ordered the soba lunch box. Got mushy egg noodles instead. On the positive side, the cost is very reasonable.

Ordered take out here. Lady told me she would give me a free appetizer. When I got there the lady took it out because I used a coupon. Give me a break! Sushi was soggy w to much rice! I’d advise against it.

Eh… my experience was okay. The waitresses asked me every 2 minutes if I wanted another diet coke despite politely saying no. The food was generously sized. I got the Panhandle Roll. It was VERY delicious. They didn’t skimp on any of the ingredients. My date got the Godzilla Roll. that too was delicious. So the food was good. service was decent(don’t get me wrong, the waitresses are sweet!) but the table next to me grossed me out. One man sent his food back because it was«warm» and didn’t taste fresh. Then, his daughter had a meltdown because she found a dead fly in her soup. Yeah, that was a sort of a damper on the dinner night out. My favorite thing about this restaurant — it was very quiet. There is nothing I hate more than going to a LOUD eating joint.

I usually can’t stand the taste of sushi, but I loved it here! I had the California roll and it was great!

I was super impressed that you could order right from Unilocal.Considering that in many areas of Manhattan and the boroughs you can order online, it’s nice to see somewhere on the island take advantage. With that being said, I thought the sushi itself was good quality, and the prices were in a great casual-dining price point. The variety of rolls was really appreciated– tamago is on there too and it seems to be less common out this way. This is my new go to.

Love this place. I moved out the the neighborhood last year and the only thing we miss and always talk about is this place tuna dumplings. They are fantastic. I drive 40min just to visit this spot. Everything we get is always fresh and yummy. Only thing is the atmosphere is not intimate. Décor is a little outdated and the lights are to bright for dinner. Should be more of a dim setting. But as long as they always have tuna dumplings we will come.

I didn’t know I could write a third update review! Anyway, After living nearby for a few years and this being my go-to take out place for some good run of the mill sushi, I have to say this place is customer service oriented, quick for the most part, and consistent in their quality. If you spend a certain amount on take out they do not fail to let you know that there is a free kani salad that you will get, the free bottle of saki on christmas although may seem like a small gesture is a huge deal because I will remember that! It’s the little things. My favorite items to get are the grilled squid with spicy creamy mayo concoction which doesn’t overwhelm the squid, the Crystal roll which is spicy tuna avocado inside with different colored fish eggs packed on top adding a zesty crunch to each bite. I also have to say that they do get special fish in sometimes(uni!) and it is not as expensive as other places charge and tastes fine. This is a great little business and I continue to recommend.

I’ve heard so many good things about Kabuki recently that I knew I had to go in and check it out for myself. My fiancé and I arrived at 8pm on a Tuesday night. The place was practically empty, just one other patron finishing up his meal when we sat down. Our server was quick to bring hot tea, ice water, and hand towels to our table. After that we were given pickles as a house starter which was nice. We ordered 4 rolls to split and some assorted sushi and sashimi pieces. Everything came out quickly. What we ordered: spicy scallop roll, eel avocado roll, ocean roll, and sexy girl roll. Ocean roll had this strange mango sauce on top that had vanilla in it and it was a little off-putting to be perfectly honest. Vanilla and fish do not go together. Everything else was crazy delicious. I ordered 2 pieces of scallop sushi. So fresh and tasty. And a steal at $ 2.75 a piece. It’s average $ 4 at other establishments so I was excited. Service was great and the place was clean. Portions were large, and even the sashimi pieces were cut thicker than I am used to. On our way out, after paying the bill, our waitress came by with a large bottle of sake as a holiday present to us to take home. It was so nice. I look forward to drinking our sake, perhaps while having some takeout from Kabuki!
