I’m so sorry to even have to write this review. I have been faithfully coming to this place since it opened and have rarely had a bad experience. Today was one of those rare days and was so bad that I may never return to this place ever again. My mom and I decided to have lunch at Costa’s as we have many times before. They are always adding things to their menu so I decided to try their Bitoque which is a Portuguese style steak with egg and fries. The waitress even asked me how I would like it cooked and I said medium well, and even went as far to say that I wanted it only a hint of pink in the steak. When the food finally came out I was really excited and went to dig in and I could barely cut through it. Initially I thought it was because they gave me a butter knife but after I asked for a steak knife(which they did not have), they brought me out a sharp bread knife and I still had trouble cutting through it. I started to realize it was because the steak was full of fat, and barely cooked on the inside. It was the rarest piece of meat I have ever received. I felt bad and after much insistence from my mother, I took it to the front counter and explained to the waitress that I could not eat the meat. I barely took two bites, but told her I would eat the Fries because I was starving. Really it was the only edible thing on the plate and I had lost my appetite to eat anything other than those fries. The waitress came back to our table and asked me what I wanted to do with the steak and even suggested I take it home! I told her that no it was okay because I didn’t plan on eating it later either. After we finished up and went to pay, I told one of the waitresses what we ate so that we could pay and she insisted that I had to pay for the steak that I took two bites out of. When I told her that was not going to happen and that I would pay for everything else, she replied with a snide remark saying«Well who’s going to pay for it, me?» I responded by telling her that I would pay for everything else but not that sorry excuse for a steak. She called out the owner of the café and he began by yelling at my mother and I saying why did I eat the steak if it was rare, and to not pay for anything and just leave. He and the rest of his staff just walked to the back of their kitchen leaving my mother, myself and the rest of the café in astonishment at what just happened. I have honestly never experienced anything like this before. I understand that this café is a small operation and I’m all for supporting small business. My family goes to this café to purchase bread at least twice a week. For that reason, I would expect more respect and consideration from them when dealing with a loyal customer. Their food can be awesome sometimes but they really need to re-evaluate the service they provide because it sucks! You cannot talk to people or treat your customers that way especially when they are spending their money to receive good service as well as a good product. Perhaps, it is my fault for expecting too much and ordering a bitoque at a Portuguese café. Lol.

This nice and convenient Bakery and Deli is wonderful. I love relatively close. Thanks to their location I am able to make a quick stop before walking to the train station. On arrival I can enjoy my cup of coffee with a nice hearty breakfast meal that is low cost. They are packed most of the time in the morning, which is a good sign for a young business. It was a rough beginning for them because some of their sweets were not fresh. That’s the past now, because they have only kept improving their bakery as time went on. More options to choose from and great service. You are even able to call and make a pre-order. The most imperative is the food, I have not tried all of them. The few amount of food that I have though I enjoyed very much. Mostly the deli menu. There is an abundance of desserts and meals to choose from. I always prefer cappuccino, and I do like their cappuccino very much. The workers are polite and work as hard as possible to please there customers. The more often you go, the more amicable you become with one another. I would definitely recommend people try this bakery. Alone or with a partner.

Forget Statbucks Espressos! Two Costas have the best. Most of pastries are good. Simple toasted bread and butter works with me. Love to come here before or after work.

Two Costas is a new deli/bakery in Roselle and close to Linden. They open early and serve great coffee and espresso. The bakery is small but offers fresh croissants, danish and other cakes and goodies. The people are friendly and because they open early I can go right before work.

Linden isn’t very entrepreneur friendly. Which I guess is good, because if it was, this would be on our main street and not down the road from me. A main street filled with pizza places, bars that probably pledge a allegiance to the Confederate flag and barber shops. Lots of barber shops. Please do not close down. I will pour money into this place. So many moneys. Open 7 days a week until 8. It’s a deli/bakery so you got choices. $ 5 mini for plastic, which isn’t bad at all. You’d hit $ 5 after getting a decent sized sandwich, a drink and a custard cup. Indoor seating and two televisions. Coffee. Empanadas. Tons of parking in the area also if you’re unlike me and don’t skateboard. Customer service was also on point. Patient and unnecessarily apologetic. Linden just stepped its game up. And I get to step up my Portuguese.
