I have gotten numerous catering items from this place before and was always satisfied. The last time I got an order of chicken Parmesan from this facility it was kind of mushy and the cheese was stuck to the tray lid. Also received a tray of sandwiches that had the oil and vinegar on it already and it was soggy by the time we ate it. Kind of hesitant to return because so much money was spent for just those two items and don’t want to have to go through that again.

Best braided Italian bread around & the fresh mozz is perfectly seasoned. Don’t miss the frozen mini pizzas, they don’t look like much but delicious!

What the hell happened to BELLAGINA’S? Having been a somewhat regular customer of BELLAGINA’S over the years, I was stunned at the lack of quality, pride, and standards exhibited by the staff of BELLAGINA’S on my most recent and most likely final visit to BELLAGINA’S. After calling in an order to BELLAGINA’S several days earlier, I was at a loss for words when I saw the quality or lack thereof of my order from BELLAGINA’S. It looked like it was prepared and presented by a 5 year old. These sandwiches from BELLAGINA’S weren’t even cafeteria worthy. For the prices BELLAGINA’S charged I was expecting something better than the Oscar Meyer«Lunchable”-like joke I just unpacked. After calling BELLAGINA’S to voice my displeasure, I was put on hold and disconnected 3 times in 10 minutes. Getting the manager of BELLAGINA’S to come to the phone just wasn’t happening. So off to BELLAGINA’S we go(it’s not like I have anything else to do on Christmas Eve, what, with three kids and people coming over) to see if I can get any satisfaction. I’m not feeling overly optimistic. Thisis a complete and utter disgrace. I give one star because I have to. Still shaking my head at the absolute lack of care and respect my order and myself were shown. BELLAGINA’S just lost a few loyal customers over $ 70.00 .BELLAGINA’S isn’t the only Italian deli /salumeria around. There are many in the surrounding areas. Stay away from BELLAGINA’S.

First the good. The deli has a really great selection of Italian products, a lot of things you can’t find in most other Italian delis. The bread is from Brooklyn and is fresh with a great crusty outside and airy inside. Their fresh mozzarella is homemade and absolutely delicious and their dry hot Italian sausage is also excellent with a nice amount of heat and flavor. Their seafood salad is also really good with a great mix of different fish including squid, mussels, clams and shrimp. The service is also pretty good. Now for the bad. Their other prepared dishes and salads aren’t that great and sometimes aren’t fresh. One time I remember getting the rice balls to take home and they were sour. Also have to be careful when buying their products. A couple times I went in there not paying attention and bought fresh ricotta that was already expired and another time a package of taralli that was also expired. They are also on the expensive side. All in all if you are looking for a place to get hard to find Italian products, good mozzarella, hard cheeses, bread and dry sausages, and don’t mind spending a little more to get it, this is the place but otherwise would probably suggest going somewhere else.

Ridiculously overpriced and was overcharged. I must have paid for the guy behind me too. Nothing worse. I miss DiCosmos! One star for the fresh mozzarella.

This is a good authentic Italian deli with excellent cheeses, dried sausage, sandwiched, prepared foods, etc. Pricey, but worth it. The lunch buffet? We went one time and it waas absolutely superb. A nice selection, very flavorful, meats, mussels marinara to die for, eggplant rollatini, etc. We returned a year later(we live out of state), and found mostly cheap carb which were flavorless. Also, we found an Italian deli in Metuchen with even better food at much morereasonable prices. Good bye Bell Gina!

I can’t think of a better place to get fresh mozzarella from. They can be pricy, but they are totally worth it!

Good sandwiches at a reasonable price. Buffet for the price and options is bad. Very small selection of food for a 10 buffet. Service at the dining area is terrible. Seems like they are too busy talking with family and friends at the VIP table in front. If you are picking up something to go then I would recommend this place. But there are plenty of other Italian places to get decent service when dining in.

Best subs & Italian sandwiches place in the area. Very cheap & quick. I would have given a 5 start but the place is bit dirty, small & cramped… But I go here for lunch often since I’ve worked in the are for past 10 years. My job also order food from here very ofter so I’ve pretty much eaten all they have to offer. They are also very honest, I’ve left my credit car here once, and they kept it for more than a week and all i had to do was call them. If you are in the are, please give it a try– you wont regret it. I will continue to eat here specially lunch sandwiches.

Fantastic! One of the best subs you can get in Jersey. Fresh sliced Boar’s Head meats on bread that tastes like it was just baked. Soo good there!!!

A solid nj Italian deli and eatery… which says a lot. If you want a very solid sandwich, or pretty much anything with the quality flavors you expect this is your lunch spot. I grew up in jersey so my standards aren’t exactly low… Try their Italian sandwiches, entrees, proscuitto balls, olive oils, it’s all great stuff…

Bella Gina’s is one of the best Italian Delis that I’ve been to. The fresh mozzarella is to die for! Not only is it fresh, but it’s juicy and adds flavor to anything that you get it with. So far I’ve had their Caprese Salad with grilled chicken on it and it was fabulous. I“ve also had a sandwich with fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers, tomatoes, prosciutto, and balsamic and it was so amazing that I ate the whole thing(and they give you a generous portion). The bread was so fresh! Yesterday I also picked up some crab raviolis from there and they were fabulous! I will definitely be back there many more times!

I don’t think the previous reviewer was altogether fair in his assessment of Bella Gina’s. To say you’ll «try a different town» is a *touch* biased, even if you didn’t care for the buffet. To be upfront, I’ve never tried the buffet, but I’ve been coming to this deli since it was called DiCosmo’s(and owned by a different family). It’s a traditional Italian deli, complete with daily fresh«mootz»(mozzarella in my boyfriend’s jargon) and sandwiches made to order.(I LOVE their focaccia sandwiches with that dressing… but I digress) A bit pricey, and certainly not a dieters best friend, but well worth it on both accounts. 4 stars because I haven’t tried the buffet to give an honest assessment, but I think the wait at lunchtime for their sandwiches and other such provisions is a testament to their status as a neighborhood staple.

Bella Ginas was near enough to my hotel that taking a chance seemed worth it. I tried it. Once. Big buffet with a lot of mediocre food. Can’t even remember the food I didn’t enjoy. Some forgettable ribs and other institutional type dishes. Next try will be in neighboring towns.
