These guys front with the best food, my favorite is the California cheese burger with a fried egg. Also their cold subs are prepared fresh and taste fantastic. The cheese steak with onions and mushrooms is great too. Go there for a breakfast sandwich, bacon egg & cheese with polish roll.

Best Pork Roll, Egg & Cheese in town, bar none. For that reason, and that reason alone, I will be a loyal customer for as long as they are around.

Awesome pork roll and cheese sandwiches! They also do subs and pizza but I’ve never had it. Very clean, and the kids who work in there are really nice and never get your phone orders wrong. Great location, they have a Dunkin Donuts right next to them! Overall great little sub shop since there isn’t many around.

Old school. Drive by 1000 times and finally went in. No frills, fried egg sandwiches made to order — and not from a microwave, which seems to be the trend these days from other places.

You know, it would be easy to find fault with a place that has literally been around forever and basically serves pizza and subs. In fact that is why I have to judge them on the merits and give it 3 stars. For what they do Joyce’s is more than serviceable. I will not opine on their pizza as I would never eat pizza in a place like this. However their subs and especially their egg sandwiches are honest and satisfying. I usually get scrambled with melted mozzarella on a hoagie and I leave feeling happy. Every neighborhood needs a joint and Joyce’s fits the bill, try it you will like it.

After reading all the rave reviews I decided to try them out. I had a ham, salami, provolone sub with lettuce, tom, onion and oil and vinegar. The sub was very tasty about average price.

What else do you do when you hit town in Jersey? Two things. Pizza and subs. For us anyways. Real pizza’s and subs don’t exist in Massachusetts. Hubs always has to have his Elsie’s subs in Redbank. We have to hear the story of the one he would order everyday when he was growing up here and even his later years. We drove by Joyces and he said, oh, they were sisters and that place is good, too. We were not happy at all. The bread was kind of tough. The sub wasn’t that big at all. Slices of meat TOOBIG. Provolone, well, It was more like a cube of provie, not a slice, GROSS! Hubs asked me, what the hell kind of cheese was that? hardly any dressing on mine at all — D_R_Y yuk, yuk yuk It was wrapped nice in plastic and paper. The snapple was good and so was the pepsi, for which I give it two stars.

I was in town from chicago and my boyfriend took me here for a italian sub… and all i can say is omg! Its the best sub i have ever tasted on this planet! I can’t put my finger on it but… there is definatly something special about it! Then the next day… we went back again and i tried the meatball parm and it was amazing! I wish i could take this store back to chicago with me! Its located in a strip mall off of exit 109! Worth the detour off the highway! Great job! and the people who run the place are super cool!

This used to be our almost-daily joint many years ago when the food was good and the price was cheap. Now the food is still good(but not as good as before), but the price more than doubled, putting it in the same price range as other decent delis, hence we stopped going. We still get an occasional craving for Joyce’s every now and then.
