I happen to like this particular acme location. Though the things here could get pricey, especially produce, it is very well kept and food is always fresh. The donuts here are better than Dunkin’s donuts! Their subs and sandwiches are okay for the price. I really like their fresh fruit cups. Though it is a small supermarket, the interior is bright and the store is very clean. Registers are always well staffed, as is the entire store. There is always someone available to help if you need it.

I love special occasion cakes from Acme Supermarket(Lincroft, NJ). They are always so creative and, of course, delicious. Instead of stopping by, I actually placed this order online. A very efficient way of doing things. For a cool change of pace from the all white birthday cake, I ordered marble cake with fudge filling and white buttercream on the outside. OMG, yum! In the note section online, I mentioned that I wanted something«horsey» on it and the picture you see, is what we got. I was so happy with the finished product, I just had to give a shoutout to the awesome bakery department. You have never failed me.

A world of difference from the Acme in Shrewsbury. This one is huge, clean and the registers are sufficiently staffed. If the new one coming in Tinton Falls is anything like this one, I’ll be a happy camper! :)

This is most likely the most over-priced supermarket I’ve ever been in, and that includes beating out Whole Foods and places in New York. The prices for produce are astronomical and only on occasion do their sales have relatively okay prices. $ 4.99/lb for red bell peppers? OUCH. Scallions for $ 1.99? Seriously? I can get two for $ 1 at Fairway in NYC. Avocados generally sell for $ 2 each, but every once in a blue moon, Acme sells them on sale for a good price of $ 1 each. There are dry goods such as rice and health foods that literally sell for sometimes twice the price of Whole Foods. Other items sell at approximately 10% more than Shop Rite, Stop & Shop, and Food Town around the area. It’s a relatively small store, so you won’t get the variety that Shop Rite or Wegman’s has to offer, but if you’re seriously in a pinch around the area for something not too abnormal and don’t mind paying the price — Acme will do the job. One odd redeeming quality — their Irish Soda Bread is among the best I’ve ever had.

In the realm of food stores this place def awesome. So much better than the Acme in Fair Haven the next town over. This place is bigger with better prices and a great meat department. Bakery and produce are good too.

The more I shop here, the more dissatisfied I get with the offerings. NO organic meats. No sustainably produced meat. All they have is something they call«Wild Harvest» brand, which is sometimes«Natural» — a term that is meaningless — and only rarely is there an «organic» offering. The«Wild Harvest Natural» chicken I got was flavorless sponge. Produce is not fresh(at least during the winter). Inventory, including produce, is excessively tilted towards being packaged up far, far away. Why, I do not know, because other grocery stores in Red Bank and Middletown have far better offerings for organic, healthy and gourmet items.
