Maggie Moo’s has great ice cream! You can select from their combinations or make one of your own. My personal favorite is their cheesecake ice cream with chocolate chips and strawberries mixed in. The flavors are extensive and they offer cool flavors like cotton candy. They offer several different toppings as well. The staff seems friendly and the prices for this kind of ice cream are OK, but a bit pricey. I paid $ 5.32 for a small ice cream w/two mix-ins. It has been a while since I’d been there and I didn’t recall it being THAT expensive. Needless to say, I won’t be going there frequently. Overall, good ice cream and definitely worth a try!

Go the butter batter and dark chocolate with white chocolate chips, and sno caps. SUCH good ice cream. REALLY smooth, and tasty. There is a lot though. haha Good stuff. I think I gained 2 more pounds thinking about it.

You USED to be my favorite Ice Cream place… Your Coco Puff’s flavor was quite a treat and your red velvet milkshake could not be beat…(unintentional rhyme) But the last 2 times we went, we ordered milk shakes and what once was THICK and a creamy delight has become watery flavored milk. The ice cream here isn’t cheap so it needs to be good every time and I don’t know what happened. I used to CRAVE the milkshakes, I literally had dreams about them… and now I don’t think I’m going back. LETMEBECLEAR: –The milk shakes are not thick… they are watery. THAT is gross. –They didn’t used to be that way. so I’m not sure what changed but until you change it back. we won’t be back. –Also the staff needs more training, sometimes there will be lot’s of people in line and only one person taking orders and that person is almost always sloooooow.

On the afternoon of 8÷19÷11, about 5PM, I visited the Maggie Moos in Lincolnshire, IL. I ordered a large double chocolate malt. I asked for it to be kept thick and asked for chocolate syrup in mix. I have ordered malts exactly like this everywhere I’ve ever gone. The two teenage clerks didn’t seem interested in me(their only customer) at all. I can unequivocally say this was the single most expense and worst malt I have ever purchased. I was charged additional for putting fudge in the malt(something I wasn’t told in advance). The product came in a large paper cup with a lid the clerk warned me didn’t fit – it was only sitting on top. Really? After putting the straw through the lid, it lifted up. What am I supposed to do with my malt now? Disgusted, I threw the top away and stepped outside to take my first sips. It was SORUNNY, just like milk!!! I felt cheated out of $ 6.88. I ended up throwing most of it away, as it wasn’t really a malt, just a large, flimsy glass of chocolate milk – and not even the best tasting chocolate milk I’ve ever had. This Maggie Moos moved into what used to be a Cold-Stone Creamery location that unexpectedly shut down after only a few weeks. Nothing at this new location was changed, not even the wallpaper. Although I had good ice-cream at the old location, based on my experience, I can only hope this particular franchise meets the same fate! I’m pretty sure, based on this experience, I will NEVER visit this Maggie Moos again nor will I ever recommend it.

The ice cream is good but the place looks a little run down and the staff of high school kids look like they want to be anywhere but here. Last night we were here and the kids were bouncing that they got to have a special treat. I asked quietly that the kids scoops be small. I was told by the girl that she could do 2 half scoops. WOW I HAVENEVERTHOUGHTOFTHAT!(saves money($ 3.50 for a kids cone is nuts) and no kid needs a huge ice cream) Again in a hushed voice i said cool! Turned to my daughter(6) and said have at it. After her normal indecisiveness flavor and mix-in was chosen, son was all picked out in 10 sec. The employee said a half a dozen time to my daughter what do you want on your«half scoop» every time a gave a half playful shhhh! and after 5 times it became apparent to my daughter the game afoot and the world according to her came crashing down. «A HALF(she did not even finish it) I need a whole this suck“s and the mini tantrum started quick recovery and an apology saved her night. To wrap this up: expensive but good, service is disinterested and not exceptional, and the whole store needs a good cleaning.

Wow! I would’ve loved to try the chocolate cake batter as someone else mentioned but they didn’t have that when I was there. Instead, I was debating over(plain) cake batter and red velvet cake batter. After sampling both, I chose red velvet cake batter! Tastes just like the cupcakes and I don’t even need extra fixins’. Good dessert after lunch at one of the restaurants next door!

A-MEN.I found a Maggie Moo’s finally… in my new neighborhood! woohoooooo. I always had Maggie Moo’s when I lived in the south, since there wasn’t a Cold Stone around me. I have to admit, I do like Cold Stone Creamery a bit better. only because I like my ice cream really sweet with a creamy texture and that’s how CSC pretty much is. The prices are about the same. MM’s has a lot of mix-in varieties. It’s great. MM’s ice cream doesn’t have that overly sweet, creamy, marshmallow-y texture which I don’t mind– it’s good ice cream! Plus they have more unique flavors… but from what I’ve seen they lack the sugar-free…which I need from time to time. I’ll definitely keep visiting my Moo’s :) I’m not forced to leave a tip when I come here, too!

If The Ice Cream Shop on Devon Ave and Cold Stone Creamery got together and had a baby, they would name it Maggie Moo. Here they have about 40 different flavors and you can get all kinds of mix-ins with each flavor. Before I got my Banana Bread, Blue Berry Muffin, and Dark Chocolate cup of ice cream, I sampled about 10 different flavors, including Better Batter in yellow and in chocolate. The staff was nice and didn’t look at me funny when I said«Can I try…» each time. All the flavors were great. This place is right across the street from Par-King Golf. It isn’t worth the drive from the city just for the ice cream alone, but it is worth it if you are up in Lincolnshire or Wheeling. And after you pound a few holes, or is it drive?, or is it hit? a few holes of golf, Maggie Moo’s is a must.

This place is awesome! You know, I never knew about the«mix-in» places until I came here a long time ago. I asked for a flavor and they asked me what I wanted in it. I looked at them like they came from another planet and had them ring it up plain. Even that was good! Get the mix-ins too!

I was very reluctant to try Maggie Moo’s because I’m not a big custard fan. At the time I didn’t know that the frozen custard was different from the regular custard and so on and so forth(OK I’m an idiot). Needless to day, my friend finally got me in Maggie Moo’s and I now I’m a fan. I really only get the same flavor, I try to change my toppings. I’m a chocolate fan so I get the chocolate frozen custard in a bowl shaped cone with Snickers… Yum-Yum…I’m going to venture out and try new flavors, but for now, I’m stuck on chocolate! I you can say this price is along the lines of a Stone Cold Creamery, since they use the same marble slab method of mixing the toppings. The prices are about the same too. But I love the décor, makes me feel like a kid in a candy/ice cream shop and the people at the Lincolnshire one are all so nice…
