I went to the store looking to buy custom jewelry-a specific necklace for my wife with our kids initials. I told tom my budget was 200 dollars. He told me he can do it for 400 dollars. I agreed and we sat down to design it. He was very courteous showing me the process. I had agreed to do it for $ 400 and when he showed me the 18 inch chain, I specifically asked if his price included the chain and he said yes. When I went to pick it up his wife rang me up and her total was $ 600 dollars because it did not include the chain. When I disagreed on the total, she was rude and said«well, we will just take it back» and began unwrapping it(this was a christmas present that I needed in 2 days for xmas). I told her if I knew it would cost $ 600, I would’ve gotten it at tiffany’s in chicago for the same price since I was just there and they have a top brand. Even though I got Tom on the phone, he did not honor the original quote and obviously there was a miscommunication of some sort. They do have nice quality products, but I give them a 1 star for not putting the price in writing, failing to stay in budget, failing to honor the verbal quote and poor handling with the price discrepancy.

I have been to numerous Jewelers around Lincoln and Omaha in search for the perfect engagement ring and diamond. While Wrght’s has a nice diamond selection, dealing with Tom Wright was less than pleasant. I first stopped in the store to look at rings and diamonds and met with Tom where we had a nice conversation and explained to me a good deal about his great diamond selection and his credibility. Now this first meeting was ok, the problems happened when I brought my girlfriend to view their selection. Now for rings it’s all about what the girl wants(within reason to our budgets of course!), but Tom thought otherwise. When my girlfriend was asked by Tom which diamond style she wanted and liked the most, she replied with«Princess Cut» and was met with incredibly rude criticism from Tom. He began to argue why that was a «poor choice» and that it’s «not the best cut» and blah blah blah«round is really the only way to go». He then began to show her everything that HE thought was better in his mind. I could tell she was hurt, after all, it is her preference not mine or Tom’s!!! Tom was extremely rude to her the rest of the time we were there and left quickly. They may have nice ROUND cuts but as far as Customer Service, it is very very poor! STAYAWAYANDAVOIDRUDETOM! Nobody like that deserves your business and there are much better places in Lincoln! They have put out a ton of radio ads recently trying to convince people that it’s all about them, that is until you get in the store. Then it is about what Tom thinks is best and what he can make a profit on!
