Great sandwich! I had cheddar cheese added to mine. My husband tried a sandwich with Swiss cheese and mushrooms.

I love Runza… Or should I say loved. I ordered a burger and fries(seemed pretty safe). Burger was fine, but the fries were so over cooked, ketchup wouldn’t even help. I’ve never asked for fries to be redone in my life, but these were too far gone to eat. I asked for new fries, but to my dismay, they were also way over done but slightly more edible. I submitted my experience and Runza was nice enough to give me a free sandwich or burger! Unfortunately, I learned that was underwhelming as they ended up charging me for the cheese and bacon when I order their bacon cheeseburger for my free sandwich. Overall burgers are usually good, onion rings rock when they aren’t over cooked and the management is cheap when they screw stuff up.

AI’m assuming you find yourself in lincoln as a business traveller, or found yourself passing through or a +1 at some family reunion. here is what you are looking for in the«local flavor» department, RUNZA! I grew up eating these things and as far as I know, the Runza chain here in NE is the only place where you can get a fast food runza. my family came here as germans from russia, there is even a Germans from Russia museum here in lincoln. my family has always made runzas, long before I was born, or long before Unilocal or automobiles. my family that still lives in the lincoln area looks down their nose at these store bought runzas, «the dough is too tick, the meat is not cooked long enough» etc. but I haven’t had runza in a while and I loved them. hint, they also sell runza frozen so you can take them back to wherever you came from and impress your family/friends with your exotic foods you brought back from the exotic land of NEBRASKA. OH, also get some fresh corn on the cob(usually sold on street corners) and if you eat beef… get yourself some protein in cow form. what IS a runza? a sort of a roll, that is stuffed with a ground beef, cabbage and onion mush, or as my 4 yo son calls it «that yucky brown stuff»
