This was posted on Facebook from a reliable source. Really what is wrong with the employees at this location? Where was the Manager?. My understanding is the Heath department was called. We will never eat at Popeyes on N. 27th St. Lincoln Né. We walked in and smelled cigarette smoke, Yuck, as we got to counter sure enough the employees were behind counter smoking, when they realized we saw them they tried to wave away the smoke with there hands and then tried to put it out and hide it, BUT i know the rules(no smoking in restaurants, let alone the people making the food) dang it i saw them blowing there germs right there where the chicken is plus the rest of the food. Of course not one had a name tag on and no one claiming to be manager, we walked out disgusted and they will be sorry for there actions. WILLNEVEREATPOPEYESAGAIN. I don’t care what you do in your own time. i ask to talk to a manager and no one would step up to be manager They acted like nothing happened They had the guts to tell us have a nice day and laughing As we stormed out of there i said this is not right and i will be talking to some one, they just laughed

The Chicken is good… however…the girls who were working this evening were totally confused. I ordered through the drive thru. I ordered 8 pieces of dark meat and get 8 free. I even asked them if I got an extra 8 free. I was told how much I would owe. I go to the window to pay and they are charging me for an order I didn’t even order. I had to tell them again what my order was. I had to wait 13 min. For my chicken. I didn’t mind the wait. I would rather have hot fresh chicken. I get my order. They only gave me 8 pieces of dark meat. I had to ask them where my free 8 pieces were. She said I didn’t order the Monday special. Really? Wow… I didn’t leave until I got my extra 8 pieces I even got out of my car and went inside just to make sure I got my 8 extra pieces free.

Food was just great. Hadn’t has Popeyes in a longtime. The service was also great. The young lady that brought our food returned a few seconds later with 2 more chx strips because she thought the ones I had just received were kinda small. That’s great customer service! We did spend a few minutes trying to find the main entrance though. 3ish pieces of chx a biscuit 2 sides and a drink for about $ 7.00. Not bad.

This location has a funky buildout. The front door is actually in the back of the building(opposite the main street), so we initially thought it was closed since the front door has no signage. The location is good, about a half mile off I-80. We didn’t have any customer service issues. Didn’t notice it being different from any other fast food joints we stopped by. They were fine. Chicken was good, the usual at Popeyes. I suggest everyone try the Cajun Sparkle seasoning to add some kick to your chix.

Sunday at 7:30…nobody in the dining room. A car ordering in front of us and one at the window. It took us at least 20 minutes before we finally got our food. We had to wait 5 minutes before we could place our order. The entire time we could hear loud music blaring through the other end. Then more waiting for them to make our food. The staff was slow and not at all remorseful for their awful service. We got home only to find we were missing a side and sauce. I normally wouldn’t have minded but for the price, we should have received everything we ordered. Terrible service. Will definitely drive out of my way to another Popeyes before returning here.

Popeye’s has decent chicken, at least as far as fast food chains go. It’s fine to satisfy a craving or for a quick meal on the go when you don’t have much time. And some of their promotional items are even a step above the normal menu items. That said, this location gets the lowest rating possible because of their staff. Put simply, they hire people that don’t care in the least about customer service. It has been a consistent problem with this location, which is a good indication that management doesn’t care either. No matter when you go, there’s a good chance your order will be screwed up. Again, this isn’t a one time thing, but has happened over and over across a handful of years. The drive thru service is an especially bad offender in this regard. Another example of poor customer service has to do with dipping sauces. If a location is out of a dipping sauce advertised as an integral part of an item, you’d expect to be informed of that when you order. Not so here. They will just hand over your order without the dipping sauce and not say a thing. Keep in mind this is a place that charges extra if you ask for extra dipping sauce. They have no problems charging you extra for more sauce and simply omitting it when they’re out without saying a single word. As the other reviews indicate, this isn’t an isolated incident with this location. it has been going on for years. Is it a big deal in the grand scheme of life? Nope. But is it more than enough reason to give them the finger and take your money elsewhere to satisfy a craving(not to mention a craving to actually get what you ordered)? Absolutely. Avoid this location.

Awful. The staff don’t care about you as the consumer or about your food. We went through the drive-thru and from the moment we tried to order to when we paid and got our order, the young lady seemed as if we were the problem. Her attitude and the way she acted towards us was rude and we got the impression that we were bothering her. Her tone, eye rolling, and treating us like we were interupting her from doing something else made me feel like we weren’t welcome there. Our order was wrong and it wasn’t worth the fight to go back, they’d probably spit in our food or worse, since we already bothered them once, by showing up to order. And I need to say, we weren’t being difficult. We ordered, I said we had a coupon, we drove up, paid, got our order and drove off. This was our first impression and never went back. Just go to the nearbye HyVee and get fried chicken. They actually are glad to have your patronage. Also, this particular location has had 4 – 5 health code violations in the local paper with roaches and uncleanliness. It’s obvious the staff doesn’t care. Avoid this location like the plague, find your chicken somewhere else.

Love Popeye’s Chicken. It is by far, my favorite of all the national chains. However, this particular restaurant is poorly managed and its employees haven’t a clue about how to count, or serve people. If you are dining in, then it really isn’t a big issue as you can walk up to the counter and get your order corrected. However, my family has NEVER ordered through the drive-thru and NOT had our order mixed up. We’ve called the manager to complain and the district manager and we have never gotten so much as an apology. They always say that they will forward our conerns on. So, avoid the drive thru if you can.
