The owner contacted me and apologized for how the deal went. I am not sure what prompted this but either way it was good that we were able to work out the deal instead of having to fight it out in court. I did have some issues with the pond pump but after several weeks of back and forth with Placer pond they were able to connect me with the manufacturer who in turn arranged the serviceman to fix it. Overall I hope the owner in future takes more time to document in writing the terms of the deal he is making with other customers and sticks to it. I wish I click give them a higher review on this update but the whole deal was not handled well and was unnecessarily stressful.

So over the last 2 years I have been in this store a lot and made quite a few purchases of plants, koi, fish food and pond products. One thing always happens when I make a purchase. I am always charged the wrong price when Gary rings up the bill. When anybody else rings me up the prices are correct, but Gary always manages to charge anywhere from .49 to a few dollars more. See my photos from today’s purchase as proof. I was overcharged $ 2 on my skimmer net purchase. Maybe it’s my fault for not checking the receipt but after being miss charged over and over again I have decided this store will no longer get my business. The customer should not have to police the owner of the store for correct pricing. Mind you I like the owners and the store but I can get everything they sale elsewhere and not have to worry about getting overcharged.

This is my first time every writing a review and I felt this needed to be said. This place is really the only place to go to in order to get your pond cleaned out in Lincoln. Although they were on time to clean our pond, and did what was needed to be done, beware of owner and his temper. Original invoice that was sent to us DIDNOT have the address on the invoice. So, I guess we were suppose to find out the address ourselves. When I googled the address, I was given the one that is listed here on Unilocal and every other listing that this company has. After them not receiving their $ 50 payment from us within a week of them completing their job, they started calling non stop. They were told several times that the check was already mailed to them. Well, after two weeks of them not receiving the check, they sent a new invoice, along with a letter threatening to put a LIEN on our home. All for a $ 50 payment. I told them I didn’t know why they hadn’t received the check yet, but I wasn’t going to spend an additional $ 15 in bank charges to cancel the already written check. I finally received my check back stating that Placer Pond was no longer at that address that is listed all over the internet. I re-sent the check to the new address that was finally given to me after I called Placer Pond to get it. When they didn’t receive the check within 24 hours after I called to get the address, the owner called again and started yelling this time along with his threats of putting a lien on our home. This is absolutely hilarious to me and could not stop laughing when he was going on his rant. Needless to say, I will be taking my business elsewhere. Although, the owner got his $ 50 this time, he will be missing out on a lot more of repeat business from me which in the long run is more than $ 50. If you can go to another business, I highly suggest it! You do not want to deal with this very unprofessional business owner.

Only place to go to really get pond stuff around here. Has some awsome bacteria products and super knowledgeable. Becareful of returns though do not buy if you are not sure. I bought something here and it turned out to be the wrong part(the guy told me it was right but it wasnt) and I called and he said no problem I can return it then when I went in he gave me a super hard time and told me that the part was not returnable and he would have to make a huge exception I reminded him I talked to him on the phone and he finally did return it(even though I ONLY wanted store credit!!!) Kind of a joke to be nice on the phone and an ass in person but probably will go back because of products. Also fish are good and last a long time none have died in over a year so far
