Came here in 2006 with my fiancée to get a wedding band to match a rather unique engagement ring by Natalie K we got from Rogers Jewelers at Oak View Mall. The engagement ring was meant to be a stand-alone ring and so was designed without a matching wedding band. The whole experience sucked. We had to drive to Lincoln from Omaha because they cannot see the wisdom in opening an Omaha location despite the fact that it would have three times the customer base that their Lincoln one does. You only get to see a small handful of rings at a time. You cannot walk around some large showroom and browse hundreds of rings at a time looking for something that grabs her eye. We wanted something vintage looking to match the engagement ring. They showed us a couple of trays of what they had handy, but would have to request them and then they wanted us to sign an agreement stating if we didn’t show for our appointment to view the rings that we would be charged a fee. They deny they did that to this day, but it DID happen. Stupidly, I signed. We didn’t show for the follow-up appointment because, after discussing the experience afterwards, we had no intention of giving this company any money or our salesperson any commission. I also didn’t feel they were deserving of a courtesy call to cancel our appointment, so I happily left them hanging. I’m the customer and they’re the business. I owe them nothing in the way of loyalty. I figured if they tried to charge me the«no show» fee I was going to fight it. They never did charge me. Apparently, the signature and the alleged fee were a scare tactic to force people into coming to follow-up appointments(whether that was company policy at the time or just some shady tactic of a particular salesperson is unknown). That’s just a crappy thing to do. They keep such detailed notes on your visit that it is borderline creepy. It’s one thing to keep a couple of sales notes about what you’re looking for and what your price range is. It’s another thing to essentially transcribe every detail of your visit and what was discussed and then retain those notes for several years. Stalker much? Why not just hire a private investigator to follow your customers around? There is nothing they do at Nebraska Diamond that almost every jewelry store doesn’t also do. Engagement and wedding rings are high-end expensive jewelry and so jewelers have to offer crazy selection and service to win your business over a competitor. So, almost any reputable jewelry store most people would even consider walking into will let you pick the metal(Platinum; 18K, 14K, 10K, White, or Yellow Gold), choose the shape and quality of the stone, pick matching or mismatching wedding bands, and so forth. They will all give you a lifetime warranty too. None of that is unique to this place. They’re offering you the same set of selection and service you can get almost anywhere. There is no shortage of jewelry stores, so why come to a place like this? Finally, note the sheer number of reviews that have been hidden by Unilocal’s algorithm because they’re written by Unilocalers with no Unilocal friends and who have only ever written one review. In the world of online reviews those people are known as «one and done’s» and are almost always fictitious reviews. I’m not saying that Nebraska Diamond wrote a bunch of phony 5-star reviews themselves or that they’d hired some shady third-party to do it for them, but I find it extremely suspicious that, as of the date I write this, there are 11 omitted reviews and they are ALL5-star reviews written by people that only ever used Unilocal to write that one review. One or two may be easily dismissed, but ELEVEN?!

Amazing experience with picking out rings at Nebraska Diamond!!! And above and beyond sales service!!! I love how they show you the settings one box at a time and you pick your top and then narrow it down until you find«the one». It makes it so much less stressful than seeing a huge case full of rings!!! They were awesome at helping my husband find an indestructible band because he is military! And me a band that was simple and would not catch on medical gloves! Also I love that you can customize by picking out your band, stone, and wedding band and none has to match. They also back up their products and have lifetime warranty! Cleaning, repairs, soldering, etc. Their staff was amazing and if we get any anniversary bands we will be going back and I always recommend NE Diamond to all of my friends! Best jewelry store experience ever with rings the only thing they do!!! And they are great at staying in your budget!!!

This place is just great. They don’t have a showroom like you typically find at jewelry stores where you are blinded by all of the shiny things in the cases. They have a huge inventory of rings to choose from and not enough room to display it all so that is the reasoning behind their method. Just look at all of the ‘not recommended’ reviews for this place and see how people like it. I went there to pick out an engagement ring. The sales people each have their own little offices where you can sit quietly and look through boxes and boxes of settings. I don’t like other stores where there are only 2 sales people but more customers. You get one on one with Nebraska Diamond. You give them a price range and what you are looking for and then they bring boxes to look through and let you pull out ones you like and set aside. If you are wanting to think things over, they save all of your info in their database and the rings you wanted to save. I did not feel pressured at all to buy something right away or something out of the price range I was looking for. It is probably best to call and make an appointment but they do take walk-ins. My first time there I walked in but that was a Tuesday afternoon. The weekends are really busy. For the budget minded person, the settings in the boxes are for sale for $ 50. :) Also, we did look at similar settings at a couple other jewelers and they were $ 300 more. They do validate parking so make sure you park in the parking garage on the west side of the block and bring your ticket.

We had a fantastic time shopping for both the engagement ring and wedding bands at Nebraska Diamond. After searching all over the east coast for the setting I was interested in, we finally found that Nebraska Diamond had it! My fiancé lived in Omaha at the time so we decided to make the trip to Lincoln during one of my visits. I was so excited to see the setting in person. The experience at Nebraska diamond is fantastic. I get distracted very easily so shopping in a smaller format(one box at a time) worked a lot better for me than seeing hundreds of rings in a clear display. Alan was very patient as I looked at other options to make sure that«the one» really was the best choice. I also never felt pressured at any point during my appointment. Fast forward a few years and now we’re looking for wedding bands! After feeling very overwhelmed in NYC, we decided to take a trip back to Nebraska to look at wedding bands with Alan. He was sooo helpful in helping us decide on our band selections. I tried on the same band 15 different times and he was really supportive on deciding what looked great with my engagement ring. My fiancé has never worn jewelry so he was nervous about making his selection. Alan was sure to show him every kind of option and helped us decide what would feel best for him. We were very happy with the number of options to choose from and would go back to Alan for any of our diamond needs because we know that we can trust him and have an enjoyable experience.

I prefer a showroom to an office where you can look at only 12 rings at a time. If you want to have someone else find your ring for you, go here. If you like to look at rings on display then speak to someone when you want to see some, go anywhere else.

The sales lady went back to get a salesperson. We waited a while. No one came so we left and purchased elsewhere.

interesting location, you would never just come across it so good thing they have those radio ads. so you go in to the wells fargo building and go up to the 8th floor and look around and its all offices, like lawyers offices and stuff. take a right and then on a door on the right it says, nebarska diamond, showroom inside. we went in and there is no «show room», its more like a dentist office, they told us to sit down and a sales person would be right with us and they were. we went back to this super small little room that was so so warm. now about the diamonds. they asked what i was looking for, took a couple notes and came back with several small boxes. we went through each box and created a ‘maybe’ group. we looked through maybe 200 rings and narrowed it down to about 5, then 3, then one. the sales lady was knowledgeable and educated me– which i really appreciated. i did find a ring that i’ll be getting from them and i’m really happy with it and it came in below budget.
