On Sunday, I witnessed the most ridiculous and rude customer service ever. I was in line and there was 1 woman in front of me with her child. It was pretty busy and there was at least 4 employees behind the counter standing around. The woman walked up to an open register and she was told that no one was at that register and to wait to be called. The woman walks back to the line and says ‘Apparently they are really busy.’ The employee that just told her to wait overheard her and says«They just got here and they aren’t ready yet so just wait» or something to that effect. The woman was then caught off guard and says ‘ok’. Then the employee says«come up here she’s ready» in the most rude tone I’ve ever heard. The woman says ‘no it’s ok’ and the employee says ‘no come up here she is actually ready’. The woman approaches the register with her child. Neither of them said a word and had plenty of merchandise ready to purchase. I was at the register next to them. All of a sudden I hear the woman say ‘oh my gosh why would you say that?’ The employee says ‘I didn’t say anything’ The woman says ‘Why would you say you hate me you don’t even know me. That’s so rude.’ The employee says ‘I didn’t say I hated you.’ The woman says ‘You just said you hated people.’ The employee proceeds to say ‘Well yeah I did say that, I just feel that I’m being attacked for no reason.‘ Um… okay?! This woman did nothing to this employee to cause this situation. I was so uncomfortable and embarrassed and I wasn’t even directly involved. That employee is clearly not in the position to be in customer service or sales. Most of the other employees couldn’t care less either. No one apologized for this employee’s rudeness or seemed to be affected by it in any way. I’m positive that I was not the only customer to hear such nonsense. It was so bizarre. I am only giving this place 2 stars because I like the merchandise. Easily the worst display of customer service I’ve ever seen. Get it together Marshalls.

Marshalls is a discount retailer that specializes in last years designer brands with discounted prices. They get new shipments of different items several times a week, so if you see something you like there, it might not be around in a week or two. I have found decent prices on dress shirts, ties, shoes, workout clothing, and jeans. Located near Kohls just off of Yankee Hill Road. Marshalls is attached to Homegoods and you can walk between the two stores inside. Hard to find anyone working except up at the checkout lanes but that shouldn’t be a problem most of the time.
