Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lincoln South

Don’t spend extra money on a suite. When we checked into our room our «suite» was a handicap room with a little side nook that held the small couch and another TV. The two TVs were almost right next to each other. The lady at the front desk said that that’s a suite. So basically the only difference from a standard to king room was an extra TV.

Booked this hotel at the last minute, the hotel is very clean and our room was very spacious !! The customer service was good !!! The breakfast was warm and yummy and they were constantly refreshingit, located in a pretty general area! Highly recommend this stay !!

Wireless Internet wouldn’t work. Front desk gave me a 1800 number to call. Spent half hour on phone and they couldn’t fix it. Pure frustration.

The place was mediocre, the bed sits on wood boards and the tv is snowy with very few channels, pet fee is $ 50 per pet and there was trash in the corners of the room my little dog found. This place needs a good cleaning. The pet fee is a joke, just go to a pet free property, we will be going elsewhere anyway.

Great experience. We were in town for my grandmother’s 90^th birthday celebration. The front desk staff was extremely accommodating when the party spilled out into the lobby/​breakfast area from the meeting space.
Breakfast was impressive given that it’s included in the room rate: sausage gravy and biscuits, sausage or bacon, pancake machine, cinnamon rolls, muffins, three kinds of juice, oatmeal packets, egg/​cheese omelets, hard boiled eggs, and yogurt. Plus hot coffee (regular and decaf) available 24 – 7.
The pool area was steamy/​humid, but well kept and stocked with plenty of towels. The front desk staff was friendly, the rooms were made up promptly, despite our large group and «takeover» of half the hotel, the staff was friendly and didn’t complain about our noise level. They were quick to offer help, direct us to restaurants.
At least a dozen restaurants just across the road in the Walmart shopping center, which gave us more than enough choices for picking up anything extra we forgot.
I’d definitely return!

The only reason I didn’t give this hotel 5 stars is because the front desk tried pull a fast one on us. They quoted us a Nebraska Heart Institute rate at first but then tried to jack the price up when we paid. Problem was solved, but left a bad taste.
WITH THAT ASIDE… we loved this place! Great location for those with family at the NHI. It is right by many places to eat (Bennigans, Backyard Burger, Wendys), Walmart, and Menards, etc.
The rooms were very clean, and very spacious. Especially enjoyed the tall ceilings (We were on 2^nd floor). They also had a nice pool and workout facility. The breakfast was by far the best amenity (very tasty).
