This is apparently one of the old-fashioned neighborhood bakeries that opens in the morning and then is open until noon, or most of the goodies are gone. They have a couple of booths, and sell bread; rolls; sweet quick breads; doughnuts /sweet rolls, and various cookies. I never said to myself«I need a jam thumbprint, but with fondant»; they’re pretty good. The orange macaroons do actually taste of orange(quite nice and very cheap); we also tried some«crispies»(walnuts! nice!), the cronuts(pretty good even the next morning); a pecan roll and a «traditional cinnamon roll»(looked more like a cinnamon bun but was indeed a roll once I bit into it. No goopy icing on the cinnamon roll, which I appreciated. The fellow behind the counter was very friendly and made us a deal on the baked goods. My sister has determined that she needs to wake up her son and drag him here for sugary breakfast goodies before school one of these mornings.

Cronut, apple fritter, and cinnamon twist are all awesome. Oh and I don’t smoke, so there is that disclaimer for you.

Here’s the skinny… the one review you can see now is for 2 stars. The 5 reviews that have been removed because people in Nebraska don’t Unilocal(ergo…the other reviewers’ comments have been removed). The other 5 reviews were all 5 stars. I wouldn’t give this place 5 stars, but it’s wholly worth 4 stars. It’s family place. Family places occasionally have… you know… families. If you want fancy, this is not the place for you. If you want fresh-baked, reasonably priced and a family atmosphere, this place isn’t bad. This is written by a Nebraskan that now lives in San Francisco, CA. The other post is written by an NE hater. Best of luck to you bitch… PS…stick with steak and avoid sushi.
