My favorite place for fried cod fish! There fish dinner is AMAZING. I drive close to 40 minutes to get here, but it is so worth it! Servers are all nice as well.

Hometown diner with great fried cod. 4 stars for food and due to location. 3 stars if in a different city. The tartar sauce is super sweet, yet offsets the salty fish. Fries are crinkle cut and they have a bottle of malt vinegar usually, but you’ll have to ask for it. Hot sauce on table keeps me happy. Not the sparkling example of clean, bathrooms are small and don’t smell good, but the staff is friendly, the customers are locals, and the food is hot and fresh. There’s a small salad bar cart has iceberg, cheese, bacon bits, croutons, and then a bunch of dressings, coleslaw, potato salad, and then the classic who knows what kind of pudding and/or jello oddness. Not a big variety. I’ve stopped here a handful of times and always get the fish basket. They say they’re famous for their fish; its crispy, hot, and I get occasional cravings for it!

Typical small town eatery, it’s been here for many years and it looks it. Could sure use a facelift! The fried fish is really really good and their breakfasts are very good with large portions and very inexpensive. The bathroom is deplorable!

Ok, the fish is some of the best in northern Indiana, if you like fried fish. the reason for only 3 stars is because its not the cleanest restaurant around. the bathroom facilities are unacceptable. all that being said the fish are good enough that you want to go back and are willing to overlook some of the other things.
