Theresa Academy of Performing Arts

The Theresa Academy of Performing Arts is a local gem waiting to be discovered on Long Island’s South Shore. Here is a safe and nurturing place for children and adults with special needs to explore the arts. I volunteer here sometimes and I absolutely love the work they are doing! There is a dance studio, a black box theater and an art studio and several other spaces. I love how all attendees, regardless of their situation, are invited to dance and sing and that every art project is a masterpiece! They have some really innovative programs and are definitely worth checking out for children and adults with special needs. There is also a great summer camp for the kids that is a lot of fun to volunteer at!
